- "Superb 5 star spa hotel set in a beautiful part of the Black Forest. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. The changing set menu in the restaurant every evening offered great choice. The food at all times, including the buffet lunch, was excellent. The entire resort was clean and well maintained. There was a large range of options in the spa, including multiple hammams, saunas and pools. The ONLY negative was that the spa staff seemed less friendly and a bit slow to provide fresh plastic cups for drinking water. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation."

- "Bested Hotel!!" - "Stayed 1 night at Sombea on the way to Switzerland and thought it was excellent. The restaurant and bar on property was great for dinner, drinks, and breakfast the following morning. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was in great condition. The only knock was that the air conditioning system was not working and although it wasn't hot, it was a bit muggy because of the rain we had that night. Still slept soundly but we could have been a bit more comfortable. By the time we discovered that it wasn't working, it was too late at night and there was no one to fix it. One excellent feature of the hotel was the on-property cigar lounge, although during our 1-night stay it was full of cigarette smokers. I would still highly recommend this hotel as a stopover on the way to somewhere else."

- "Stayed here, as I had a meeting in the town and my customer recommended this hotel. My room was enormous, and given my late arrival time (after 9pm), the staff in the kitchen (despite it having closed) made food for me as I was starving. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. I didn't check out the gym but if the rooms are anything to go by, this will be one of the best hotel gyms I have been to. Parking was also free, which was a big bonus and plenty of space available."

- "Located in the old town of Durlach, we had free parking on the street every night, right near the hotel. I've never been in a hotel where everything in the mini bar is complimentary ! Beer, water, soda, coffee, was free of charge, Prima! if you choose to decline housekeeping, they give you a 5 Euro gift card each day to spend at the bar. Nice touch. I did have to ask for a second blanket as the one in room was rather small. other than that, nice place, very Quiet, clean, and staff helped us find excursions."
