Really like the relaxed atmosphere in the bar and seating area and outside area around the lovely lake. Great being able to get good food not just in the restaurant. The pool is really nice but feel it would be good especially in the holidays to extend the kids swim times just a little longer as we were unable to use the pool on the first night and it wasn't very late at all. Stayed in a junior suite and really liked the extra touches. Having the kids on a large sofa bed in another separated part of the room makes a big difference. Also the jacuzzi bath and the inclusive well stocked mini fridge make it feel like value is added and help create a relaxing stay and make us choose this over other hotels in the area. Also the breakfast both days was very nice and no fuss."

My wife said it was ok but thank you and then five minutes later the manager then brought over a bar of chocolate which she could have. Tea/coffee tray well stocked and we loved the tiny individual glass bottles of milk, so much nicer than those little single use plastic milk pots. The stars of the show though really are the pub staff - all so friendly and helpful. We would recommend eating in the pub, good value, hot food, would also recommend Indian Ocean restaurant opposite. Breakfast is not available at the pub but there is a little coffee shop opposite and a Tesco express so not an issue for us. Buses into Cambridge every 40 minutes from opposite side of the road. We would definitely recommend to other travellers and will return ourselves. "

Touching or tampering with them can cause them to become disconnected and then the temperature will rise uncontrollably to about 40 degrees ... which is a very hot wait till I can get someone in to reconnect the thermostat. I may also need to charge for the reconnection of the thermostat. The call out charge is £30. Please just get in touch if you have any issues with the temperature of your room.

For stays of more than 7 nights, your room will be cleaned every 7 days, where bedsheets and towels will also be changed. We will arrange this on a day that suits you after a booking has been made.

During the Covid 19 'episode', rooms will not be entered by anyone body except you, the guest. For stays of up to 7 nights, there will be no cleaning done, except (obviously) before your arrival, and after your departure.

For stays of more than 7 nights, your room will be cleaned every 7 days, where bedsheets and towels will also be changed. We will arrange this on a day that suits you after a booking has been made.

The Orlando is a newly renovated eight bedroom guest house with a smartlock self-entry pincode system.

The space
Room 6 is a large double room with kingsize bed (150cm x 200cm) on the second floor at the rear of the property (rear facing window) with ensuite bathroom, room fridge, wifi, writing desk and chair, tea and coffee making facilities, 49 inch TV, and toiletries.

I no longer provide an in-room snack breakfast tray, and this is reflected in the price accordingly.

Rectory Farm sits proudly within 2 acres of formal gardens and surrounded by 50 acres of parkland and fields; combining the feel of countryside with the convenience of town. It is just 2 miles from the magnificent Kings College, the Backs, the river Cam ( punting ) and the world-famous Cambridge colleges.

The space
The bedrooms are with super king or king, ensuite bath or shower room and desk. Some rooms benefit from Meadow views. Access to beautiful, two acre gardens and fifty acres of meadows in Chalet adjacent the House. Twin Beds available on request.

Other things to note
On arrival at Rectory Farm there is paid car parking – with lots of space. It costs £5 per night per car. Plenty of room allows each car to be well distanced from the next. Larger vehicles or those occupying two spaces will be charged a fee of £20 per night per car. Please consider others when parking.

Please note that from New Year 2025, our breakfast is back! A hot buffet with continental options will be served daily from 7:30-10:30 am, price £16pp.
