- "We were looking for a place to stay between Vienna and Pisa and we found Strandhotel Faak along the way at a reasonable price. The staff was attentive and very pleasant (they spoke English in addition to several other languages). The breakfast was included and was very good (e.g. eggs made to order). We visited during February, so their main amenity (i.e. sunbathing and swimming in the Faak See) was not available to us. We look forward to visiting again during the summertime to get the full experience of this hotel."

- "The customer service at this hotel was terrible! To simplify to a couple words "They didn't give a s***". 1. There is a boat that goes from mainland to the island where the hotel is. The boat does not run if there are thunderstorms. No one from the hotel notified us about this and told us that the boat is NOT running now and we can not get to the hotel tonight. We were lucky enough to walk down to the dock and the boat was thankfully still running. BUT if the boat had not been we would've had to get another hotel or sleep in the car. Terrible communication from the hotel. 2. One of the beds had stains, dirt and hair. It took 4 calls to the front desk for them to send someone to change the sheets. 3. The check-in process was terrible, we were not notified about any of the amenities that were included in our stay at the property. 4. The front desk service and restaurant service was terrible. The restaurant staff took more than 15 min to come to the table. We had paid for half board and they did not notify us of the extra options other than the buffet that were also included (eggs, pancakes). They even overcharged us on one of the bills. Overall, it was a terrible experience and the service was horrible. "

We arrived very late at night and had no problem getting into our room. The room was clean and functional with an amazing view of the Alps from the balcony. The breakfast was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. We were on our way to Tuscany but would definitely consider staying at this hotel for a longer stay in the future. It’s a bit run down in some areas and could use a face lift but all in all, a very good stay! Would recommend! "

- "Two friends and I stayed one night at the hotel. It was more a cabin than a hotel and we loved it. Pine wood everywhere, furnished kitchen, two bedrooms, a living room and bath. Very clean, homey and comfortable. It's on a beautiful lake with the mountains as a backdrop. I got some beautiful photos of the lake with the sun going down over the mountains. I hope I have reason to return. There are great walking paths just down the road for a morning stroll...great atmosphere. They were very nice at reception and when you leave you get a gift...a bag of Austrian pasta."
