When we were there (last week in June) the clientele were mostly retirees, only one or two families. The small extra cost of a room with a balcony was worth it, as the views of Lake Garda from our room never got old. The hotel maintains it grandeur from the early 20th century. - "From the minute we checked in, this stay was fantastic. Service from the staff was exceptional, they were extremely friendly and could not do enough for us. I include all of the staff here, from check-in to restaurant (although being a family business, they often doubled up) to maids. Aside from the staff, the premises are stunning in terms of decor and space, and this is one of the best swimming pools I have seen in a hotel this size.
