The apartment benefits from a beautiful and wide view of the whole Garda basin. It is located on a rock which is eighty meters over the lake and overlooks a private park. The apartment has a big terrace where you can have your meals and relax in the sun enjoying the Garda breeze and the lake view.

The courtyard entrance is part of an old monastery of the 17th century. The apartment has just been renovated in a modern and tasteful style.

In this location your privacy is guaranteed and at the same time you can live the typical Italian village life. Bakery, butchery, greengrocer, restaurants and bars are just next door. The nearest beach is within five minutes walking distance, the nearest supermarket is five minutes drive away, Salò, the nearest town, is ten minutes drive away. After a week, we even received a bottle of homemade limoncello, which was a very nice touch. Everything is as described. The kitchen is well-equipped and in good knick. The AC is useful, especially when the temperatures reach 30 C or more. The view from both bedrooms is great – just open the folding shutters and you can see the lake. The view from the balcony is equally enchanting, onto the olive grove and the lake beyond. It’s a pity the (public) parking place is not a little closer to the house; but carrying groceries and large water bottles certainly helps burning some calories! We used the nearby alimentari to buy bread rolls and croissants every morning. It is near the church, only a five-minute walk down the hill. Other shops (Conad, Sigma, etc.) are a 10-minute drive away. The bar and icecream parlour (Bar D’Annunzio) down at the Church are okay, however the latter became rather irritating after a while. The icecream itself is not bad, but vastly fluctuating scoop sizes, the wrong change, no receipts, etc. make you wonder if they take tourists for mugs. Almost all the shops and restaurants in the area cater to tourists which makes it hard sometimes to find the ‘real Italian experience’. This said, we liked the nearby Trattoria Marietta (less than 100 yards from the house), but it is really, really busy, so do make sure to make a reservation (any day of the week!). Our favourite beach was Spiaggia Casinò, the one next to Bar spiaggia casino because it was in walking distance. We also went on day trips to Verona and Brescia, which are both worth a visit. All in all, we had a great holiday. We therefore fully recommend this house."

- "The studio-appartement was very clean and very well equipped. A double bed and a very cool foldable stockbed provided us with good matrasses for a good sleep. Kitchen ist well equipped and even teabags, Nescafé capsules, salt and basic spices were provided, as well as dish soap, dish cloth and tea towel. There ist a washing machine, dry stand and even an iron. A nice TV, sound system and a very good aircondition provide all comfort. The house is called "Villa Delle Rose" - it is one of the "Places of the Republic of Salò". It's situated between the shore of the Lake and the Gardesana. Window is towards the city/hills. Very good window, so it's not to loud, even when there's traffic in the Gardesana. The Garden is truly paradise, with Access to the lake. A gardener works every day during season to keep it pretty and well maintained. Two sunbeds are for your private use and the trees provide shadow If wanted. The house has a big terrace towards the garden and the lakefront and there are some Shops, including a nice coffee bar and a very gentle bike/hike/Triathlon sport shop. The owner was very kind and helpful and reacted promptly. There ist a public beach with coffee bar, good restaurant "Rowing bistrot" and parking area nextdoor. Parking ist about 8€/day. In one word: perfect!"
