The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided all the necessary information about the hotel's amenities and services. There was also no issue in them holding on to our luggage as we arrived quite a few hours before checkin. The standout facility at Hotel Astoria Park is the excellent pool area. The pool is large, clean, and surrounded by a well-maintained garden, providing a perfect spot to relax and unwind. There are plenty of loungers and shaded areas to enjoy. The breakfast at the hotel was very good. There was a wide variety of options, including fresh pastries, fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, and hot dishes. The quality and selection of food were impressive, and the breakfast area was spacious and inviting. This stay was part of a 7 day trip around Italy and we would not hesitate in staying here again. We absolutely loved Riva Del Garda. "

The air conditioning was ‘broken’ which meant the room was hot throughout our stay and staff were vague when asked if this would be fixed. The pool was a nice addition to the hotel and breakfast was good standard every day although no variety, same each day. The room we had was fairly basic but clean, the bathroom wasn’t great, not much room to manoeuvre - anyone tall staying in that room would really struggle fitting under the shower! We had requested a quiet room so think this may be why we were in the room at far top corner of hotel. The bed and pillows weren’t our favourite but comfortable enough. Only other negative was that the room used to store our luggage after check out was wide open and people in there for a meeting on our return - there is no system to ensure luggage is collected by owner only. Luckily we had no issues and our luggage was there but could be very different! This sounds like a bad review, it was a good hotel for us as we hardly used the room as out exploring - just a few minor things that let it down!"
