The hotel is difficult to find on your first visit however this is more than compensated for by the location and quality of the hotel. The accommodation, food, service and facilities are all excellent, with the staff very friendly and always ready to deal with any request you may have. The dining room is very comfortable and the food excellent value for money this coupled with a first class bar make the stay very enjoyable. The rooms do require upgrading, and the sight of the hotel handyman painting the corridors was slightly off putting. The swimming pool is good with comfortable sun loungers available, drinks will also be served by the pool if required. The hotel provides a free mini bus to and from Torri four times a day"

- "This is a family run hotel, and it shows. The Consolini family really care about their business, and they have invested a lot of time, money, energy and enthusiasm into the hotel. Generally we were left to our own devices, which was just what we wanted, but if we needed anything, someone was always available and happy to help. This even extended to impromptu Italian lessons in the evening, and Marcello's patience with the mad British couple was nothing less than saintly. The room was great - even though it was in the blazing August sun all day, the blinds and (quiet) air conditioning kept the room cool. The bed was comfortable, so we slept well. The double-glazing also helped - there was an enormous, loud thunderstorm on our first night, but the room was perfectly quiet. We spent most of our time exploring the area, but for anyone looking for a hotel to stay in and around, there is an amazing pool there, which for us, provided a lovely backdrop for a nightcap. In short, if you are looking for a small, friendly hotel, then I can't recommend Hotel Al Caminetto highly enough. It met and exceeded our expectations. Oh, and one last important detail - I think it also serves the best coffee in Torri."

- "We had a great time at Hotel Galvani. We had a room on the second floor with a balcony and fantastic lake view. The room had everything you needed including a fridge and a kettle. The room wasn't as big as we were expecting but it was fine. I assume rooms on the other floors are larger. It was an easy, flat 15 minute walk into Torri del Benaco with it's little harbour, castle, shops and, cafes and bars. There is a ferry service and a good local bus service to other towns on the lake. Other reviews mentioned noise from the road (the hotel is just across the road from the lake) but it didn't bother us at all. The staff were great and very helpful, and the facilities were excellent for a smaller, more intimate hotel. If we were going to Lake Garda again we wouldn't hesitate to go to Hotel Glavani again."

Local ferries available to travel across the lake to other destinations, as well as speedboat or boat tours around the lake as well. I cannot say enough about Torri Del Benaco, the Gardesana as well as the friendliest and helpful staff as well, a must go see, we will be back very soon. "

- "We stayed at this hotel in July, which was of course high season. So near by the lake it was terrible crowded, but this hotel was really a place to relax. And if you wanna have some more entertainment you can drive easily 5 minutes down to the lake or bigger places. We loved it. Especially the view and the pool. Breakfast was also great. Nice location on the waterfront a minute walk from the centre." - "the room i ordered from expedia included free parking which was written clearly in the voucher. when checked in i was told that expedia can write whatever they want in the confirmation email and in the offer the publish on their website and that if i'd like to use the parking i'd have to pay 10 EUR per day. except for the breakfest waiter who was kind and professional the front desk staff wasn't as nice as they should be, nor spoke well english which made it a lot more difficult to mannage with them. over all i'm dissapointed both of the hotel which wasn't honest and with expedia that never agreed to take responsibility on the mistake nor even suggested any kind of compensation for the extra money i was chraged for using the parking which should have been free. on top of all, when tryed to make special request prior to vacation the hotel just ignored my emails and requests and not even refused. and one thing that you should know before booking- the hotel is just infront of the fairy which cross the lake and many rooms have a view to a public parking lot which doesn't reflect the beauty of the area."
