The walk into Malcesine is really beautiful once you get to the lakeside promenade. The first part is on the main road but that section is very short. In total the walk is probably 20/25 minutes to the centre of Malcesine. Checking in and out was also seamless. I would definitely recommend the hotel and will definitely be back."

- "So pleased we booked this hotel. You don’t have to be a tennis player to enjoy it! Hotel Club Olivi is set just outside of Malcesine so is not so frantically busy as the other central hotels and has gardens to walk around and enjoy. Having seen a lot of the other towns around Malcesine on the north east of the lake this town was the nicest with narrow cobbled streets, lots of interesting shops, a small port and plenty of restaurants . The castle is an added bonus and the scenery quite spectacular. A lot of the other hotels in other towns along this area of the lake are set right on the main road that runs alongside the lake so if you want to sunbath or swim you have to do it alongside a busy road. The area where the hotel is the main road is higher than the lakeside promenade (which runs along most of the lake on this side suitable for walking and cycling.) As the promenade is below the road at this point it’s more private and quiet with two wonderful restaurants overlooking the lake edge minutes from the hotel. To walk into Malcesine from the hotel will take you 30 minutes along this promenade but the views are so beautiful it’s a pleasure to walk. Alternatively you can do it safely and a lot quicker on the bikes available to hire from the hotel at just 7 Euro a day. The hotel is family run and everyone was exceptionally lovely and helpful. Breakfast was great with a great choice. We absolutely loved it and will definitely return. "

- "Plenty of activities near by and easy to get around the lake by bus. Efficient and helpful staff" - "We wanted to return to Malcesine after 15 years since our last trip, and we booked this hotel which is in Navene, 3 miles away from Malcesine, an hour walk, which we did several times, and a pleasant walk it is, but you can use the tourist bus which runs every hour. The views are lovely, however if you are b&b you are limited to 3 restaurants about 10 mins walk from hotel. We went early September and the weather was still good, and we were able to find room to swim on the lake which is just across the road. If you have transport this hotel will be perfect but it is a distance away from any night life I would not stay at this hotel myself as it is a bit too far from the town, but welcomed the experience this time round "

The veranda had an outstanding view of lake Garda where you could eat, drink and read. The pool and jacuzzi were quiet with amazing views of the lake and perfect to escape the heat of the day. We loved sitting in the evenings, watching the sun set with a glass of local Rosé, some melon and prosciutto or a cocktail and scoop of Gelato. Our room was basic but clean and modernised. We appreciated that there was bottled water and that it was easy to get more in the bar whenever we needed it. There was enough parking with easy access to main thoroughfare . All in all, we felt at home and could have easily stayed another few days. It was a true contrast to our less pleasant experience in Sirmione and we give it 5 stars"
