Everything you need is there plus little extras like books and local tourist guides. Clare and Darren were very helpful, they clearly love the local area and were happy to provide recommendations. They left a lovely little arrival gift and gave a tour. Arco is lovely and a fairly short walk although quite a steep hill! Loads of restaurants and often random evening entertainment such as bands and acrobatics in the square and up at the castle. There is lots to do around Lake Garda, we ended up paying for parking most days which is around €12. We choose a “difficult” via Ferrata near lake Garda which had the most amazing views, the climbing wasn’t difficult but the amount of walking was a lot. Darren and Clare sent a link to hire equipment which is about €15 a day. We also took a day trip to Venice which was 2-3 hour drive. Other people described the apartment as quiet, we found the neighbours were almost always out on balcony’s and in the gardens, there were two afternoon/evening dinner parties while we where there. Lots of dogs barking. Beautiful views of the mountain but it is in an apartment block so not always peaceful. Overall would we would highly recommend staying here!"

- "We stayed for 6 days. We choose this location to be able to safely & conveniently park our car, we also booked as looked so tranquil from the website & had a heated pool. If you are looking for a quiet, away from the Center, with good parking & that has great views, this is the place. Breakfast was amazing as were the staff, always helpful. Access to refillable sparkling or still water, coffee, snacks are available 24/7 which was really great. Our room was wonderful, great views from the balcony. Really comfortable. Cleaning lady really looked after us. We hired electric bikes which was great to cycle into Riva Del Garda, there is a cycle path all the way along the river to there. We were able to do some laundry too. Downside for us, this is only B&B, so every lunch and dinner we had to walk 15 mins to the Center, it is steep so if you have any mobility issues, this place is not suitable unless you take your car everytime you want lunch or dinner. It did become exhausting for us, we are late 50’s & I have some mobility issues. Only disappointment was one of the reasons we had booked was the heated swimming pool, which we were told is switched off mid Sept, it didn’t state this on the website. We did go to use the swimming pool, I didn’t go in as there were loads of little worm things… my husband did go in once but it was freezing. A shame as the weather, for us British, was still nice enough to have gone for a daily swim with wonderful views. Overall 8/10"

The apartment is just 5 minutes from the centre of Arco, which is the rock-climbing capital of Italy, so the town has several climbing schools. Arco’s medieval streets, beneath the 12th-Century castle (7 minute drive) are fascinating. The town has many fine buildings and restaurants to suit all budgets. For self-catering, Arco’s weekly market (Tuesday mornings) is the best place to find the freshest local produce. Alternatively, there are supermarkets (3 minutes drive) and other grocery stores in the town.

The villa is a 10-minute drive from the lovely town of Riva del Garda on Lake Garda. This historic town, with its charming cobblestone streets and vibrant piazzas, makes a great day out. Here, travellers can immerse themselves in the local culture, visit historic landmarks such as the Apponale Tower, and browse through quaint boutiques and artisanal shops.

For adventures on the lake, the resort of Torbole (10 minutes) is known as an international hub for windsurfers. There are several schools in the town. Visitors can also kayak and paddleboard nearby. The beach is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the peace of Lake Garda. Away from the water, there are many fine hiking routes. The panoramic Sentiero Busatte Tempesta (14 minutes) is a stunning hike on the eastern shores of the lake.

The nearest international airport is Valerio Catullo, Verona, a 1 hour drive.

The Oleandro apartment is located in a central position in the historic center of the city of Arco, about 50 meters from the Church of Santa Maria Assunta and its splendid square. The apartment is on two levels with availability of a cellar on the ground floor. Access is made directly from Via Ferrera, from an ancient door you enter a courtyard, from where you can access the apartment. The apartment has on the ground floor a private wrapped cellar with lock for storing bicycles and any recharge for e-bikes. The kitchen is modern, equipped with dishwasher, large fridge (with freezer), induction cooker and large rooms for storage of accessories. The kitchen also has a small "peninsula bar" for a pleasant breakfast. The subscale is organized to entertain the little guests with games, books and stuffed animals. A spectacular iron and glass staircase will allow you to access the upper floor. As soon as you get up you will find a large multi-function room that can be used either as a relaxation room or if necessary as a double bedroom thanks to the comfortable presence of a sofa bed, a TV and a large built-in wardrobe. A poggiolo overlooks the underlying access courtyard as well as an enchanting view of the historic center of Arco and Monte Stivo. Also on this floor there is access to a double bedroom and to a bathroom with a floor-level shower and a glass box.
Possibility of parking for car / van in covered garage and closed at about 100 m from the structure, without the need for any reservation at 5 euros / day. Availability on request of two city-bike bicycles for small trips around the apartment.

- "The appartement is exactly as in the pictures. It is super, big terrasse. 3 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Everything you can want. Everything is there. We had Olive oil, vingar, honey, jam, tea, coffee and chocolate for a first start in the morning. 2 bottles of wine to wind down in the evening. The only small manko is that the house behind the appartment is too high so that you cannot see the castle from Arco anymore. A good spot to start touring Lake Garda and its surroundings. Roberta is a super host. Always trying to help and supportive. W/o her directions to find it and check in assistance it would have been a lot harder. We enjoyed our short break enormously. She made things easy for us."
