Everything you need is there plus little extras like books and local tourist guides. Clare and Darren were very helpful, they clearly love the local area and were happy to provide recommendations. They left a lovely little arrival gift and gave a tour. Arco is lovely and a fairly short walk although quite a steep hill! Loads of restaurants and often random evening entertainment such as bands and acrobatics in the square and up at the castle. There is lots to do around Lake Garda, we ended up paying for parking most days which is around €12. We choose a “difficult” via Ferrata near lake Garda which had the most amazing views, the climbing wasn’t difficult but the amount of walking was a lot. Darren and Clare sent a link to hire equipment which is about €15 a day. We also took a day trip to Venice which was 2-3 hour drive. Other people described the apartment as quiet, we found the neighbours were almost always out on balcony’s and in the gardens, there were two afternoon/evening dinner parties while we where there. Lots of dogs barking. Beautiful views of the mountain but it is in an apartment block so not always peaceful. Overall would we would highly recommend staying here!"

During the summer there are various entertainment events and from mid-November you can visit the famous Christmas markets. And 'it allowed to smoke outside the apartment, on the balcony. Please note not to leave lights or other on when you are out. Small pets are allowed. The shaded terrace is furnished with a double and chairs so guests can dine al fresco and enjoy the mountain scenery. Back indoors, there is a sofa, flat-screen TV, dining table and chairs. The open-plan fitted kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, fridge/freezer and a toaster.

Location
The apartment is just 5 minutes from the centre of Arco, which is the rock-climbing capital of Italy, so the town has several climbing schools. Arco’s medieval streets, beneath the 12th-Century castle (7 minute drive) are fascinating. The town has many fine buildings and restaurants to suit all budgets. For self-catering, Arco’s weekly market (Tuesday mornings) is the best place to find the freshest local produce. Alternatively, there are supermarkets (3 minutes drive) and other grocery stores in the town.

The villa is a 10-minute drive from the lovely town of Riva del Garda on Lake Garda. This historic town, with its charming cobblestone streets and vibrant piazzas, makes a great day out. Here, travellers can immerse themselves in the local culture, visit historic landmarks such as the Apponale Tower, and browse through quaint boutiques and artisanal shops.

For adventures on the lake, the resort of Torbole (10 minutes) is known as an international hub for windsurfers. There are several schools in the town. Visitors can also kayak and paddleboard nearby. The beach is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the peace of Lake Garda. Away from the water, there are many fine hiking routes. The panoramic Sentiero Busatte Tempesta (14 minutes) is a stunning hike on the eastern shores of the lake.

The nearest international airport is Valerio Catullo, Verona, a 1 hour drive.
