We had three separate sleeping areas, all pre-arranged for us with clean sheets and pillows. It was very comfortable inside the apartment. "Milano Porta Venezia" (MPV ) is a 55 square meters completely renovated apartment: modern amenities with vintage charme! It consists of a kitchen/living-room with balcony (very useful for smokers) and a corridor that takes to the independent night area. The corridor leads to 2 separate bed-rooms and to the bathrooms. It is soundproof, so you will not hear any noise and sounds and you will not be waked by morning sun light because metal shutters block it out. "Milano Porta Venezia” ( MPV) is your ideal starting point for any urban and suburban itineraries; it is a fantastic location: nestled perfectly between the cathedral/Duomo (4 min.) and Centrale railway Station (5 minutes) where there are shuttle buses connecting directly to Malpensa and Orio al Serio airports. A 10 minutes walk, or with the nearby bike-sharing, you can get to the famous “Quadrilatero della Moda” (Fashion District) in the heart of the city, maybe with a stop by the historical Porta Venezia gardens. These can be used for outdoor physical activities and to make children play. The fastest way (19 minutes) to visit Rho Fiera is the “Passante Ferroviario” (Railway Bypass): its station is right in front of “your” apartment, and it is called, needless to say, Milano Porta Venezia. Como lakes can be reached in less than one hour.

When we had significant trouble trying to return our rental car, Maria Teresa went above and beyond in helping us return it and helping us avoid an additional cleaning fee and extra day charge. It was like having a little guardian angel looking out for us. It took us a minute to figure out which key was for what, we were handed a bunch of keys. One downside is if you are using the couch as a bed, as we were. The couch is already pulled out and made, which left nowhere to sit and relax. We sat at the kitchen table which was OK, but not as nice as sitting on a comfy couch. It is a bare kitchen, no water (or anything) left for you. My husband wasn't a fan of the water out of the tap, he was the first and only one to drink any. After a day of travel and sightseeing we would have appreciated something to drink. I know we could have brought our own, and we did have some, just not as much as we needed. Beds were comfortable, they gave us a sealed towel pack each. Note no washcloths, if you use them, you might want to pack your own. They had a few books, I looked over the 2011 Italy guidebook and read some interesting facts on some sites we were going to visit the next day. All in all a nice place to stay. Would recommend and use again. "

The apartment is on fifth floor of a modern elevator building. During the day, a friendly and helpful doorman is in service in the buuilding. He does not work on weekends. Both the building and the neighborhood are very safe. The area is called Magenta-Centro and it is a walking distance from all major tourist attractions. The Duomo, Milan's Gothic cathedral, is a ten-minute walk from the apartment. Leonardo's Last Supper is two short blocks away. The Castel of Milan is down the block. In the immediate vicinity of the apartment there are many cafes, bars and restaurants. I love the neighborhood and so will you. I promise!

A 5-minute drive takes you to the Milanese nightlife area with the characteristic bars and restaurants of Navigli.
The metro can be reached with only 4 stops of bus n.79 that you take under your house. Bus 79 also connects the famous Bocconi University Center directly
The hosts are also available in case of need to provide support with car passes with with pleasure.
The Tuscan area, starting from the nearby Via Meda, along Corso S.Gottardo and Via Turin, reaches Piazza Duomo and offers wide shopping options.

The apartment is located in a villa with a large garden near Milano City.
A comfortable and bright room overlooking the garden with TV, DVD, and CD stereo. The kitchen is bright and equipped with everything needed for cooking. The cozy bedroom has a small wardrobe and adjoining bathroom with shower. Good connections with bus and train Fair Rho in 15 and downtown Milan in 25min. Malpensa Airport is a 35min drive away. The garden in spring is equipped with deck chairs, hammocks and BBQ.
