This place was exactly what we were looking for in that it was not in a very touristy area, had plenty of space for us all, had lots of amenities for kids and had wonderful helpful hosts that helped us enjoy our stay. The house was walkable to the old town part of Intra with strollers and provided a great perspective into how Italians lived their lives. Carla was very helpful to make sure we had everything we needed. This included even upgrading their wifi to make sure I had no problems working remotely. There was a slight language barrier, but Carla and Renzo's cheerful attitude and Google Translate made it not a problem. Our daughter loved playing in the yard including looking at the purple flowers, helping pick tomatoes with Carla and going down the slide. Our son loved riding all the kids vehicles and got a great start at figuring out how to pedal on the tractor. Verbania was a very beautiful area that had all kinds of fun activities to do. We enjoyed the ferry rides, the bucket chairlift, drives to nearby aerial trams in the Alps, going to nearby beaches in Feriolo, Cannero Riviera and Mergozzo. - "I was in Verbania for three days with my daughter during her rhythmic gymnastics competition. This was a quiet and very well functioning place to stay while our short visit and stresful schedule with a long 14h day at the sports hall. The staff was extremely kind and kept good contact with us. The room was spacious and over all very clean. Only the bathroom cabinet was dusty but other than that everything was spotless and a huge plus for very well funtioning AC. The bathroom was also spacious and a huge plus from a good water pressure AND functioning drainage in the shower. With my extensive travels in Italy it’s not always a given to have a well funtioning shower even when they’re renovated and looks good. We had a small refrigerator that fitted few big water bottles and my daughter’s snacks. The hotel is situated in a very clean and nice area right in the heart of the old town and less than a minute from the beach promenade. I will definatelly book again. Thank you very much <3"

We went by alibus from malpenza cost us 15 euros each, it drops you at suna bus stop which is 200m from apartment, pre book you ticket on alibus web site print off booking slip then you pay cash on the bus i would advise this in high season,this bus service stops on 30 sept therefore we walked to pallanza got boat to stresa ,theres a train station 200 metres from lake front, train to Galarate, and caught the the SACO bus just outside Gallarate station to malpenza it cost us less than the 15 euros on alibus !! The apartment was spotless it had a liitle garden and chairs,position is Quiet but so near to everything.But the best thing was Loredana the owner she was so helpful and kind and offered to drive us to stresa or intra for our journey home.
