Communication from Giorgio and Alberto was great and Alberto was very helpful. He met us at the train station, helped load our luggage, and helped carry the luggage to the apartment. Completely above and beyond any other host. Side story - the owner of the local market was also very helpful. The day we left, she called 6 different cabs to get us back to the train station with all our luggage. - "OMG Lake Como in Varenna was Amazing! We stayed at the Amazing Life House for five nights in May 2025. The Amazing Life House is actually an apartment on the back side of a condo/apartment rental building near the Varenna Ferry dock. The apartment is very well appointed with a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room. We really liked that the apartment included a washing machine so we could do laundry and a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and dishwasher so we could make breakfast each morning. The ferry is a 5-minute downhill walk from the apartment and there is a grocery store and cafe right across the street. Varenna is a walkable city with all the major attractions like the Lovers Walk (along the lakefront) and the Villas Monastero and Cipressi about 10-minutes away. If you plan to visit the Castle Vezio, wear your hiking shoes as it is a steep uphill incline the whole way (about 45 minutes). Also, I recommend taking the cobblestone stair path that is near the Amazing Life House. Do not try to get to Vezio Castle from the other end of town (by the villas), as that path is extremely rocky and steep and part of the path collapsed down the mountainside, making the climb quite treacherous. People seemed to be ignoring the "path closed" signs and going that way anyway. Because this is an apartment, you need to go to the Varenna Holidays tours desk (138 Via Venini) to get your key, which is only a few blocks away and not hard to find. Overall great experience!"

Lake Como is fantastic! We ended up moving to a much smaller and cleaner place near by and were happier."

You can walk to the ferry and visit Bellagio, Menaggio, Cadenabbia without using the car: the Ferry is 100mt from the apartment, you have shops, bar and restaurant, Lido with beach and pool, all at walking distance.
From here there are also many mountain routs (formerly the Castle of Vezio, and many others), in winter 1h drive from Madesimo SKI area, or 45min from Bobbio SKI area.

My apartment is located in a strategic position, just a step away from the railway station (1 hour from Milan), and from the boat harbor and ferries leading to all places of the lake!

The space
The flat has two big bedrooms (the parental one permit also the adjoint of a third bed, if necessary), a livingroom, a kitchen and one bathroom.
From the windows you can see the lake and the rear mountains and enjoy the quiet and the beautifulness of the places.
It is located very close to the railway station and to the lakeside, where you can find the ferry and the boats for every place on the lake and Varenna's Lido. In a few minutes you can reach the center of the vilalge, with the ancient San Giorgio's church, restaurants and shops. Just near the house ther are other bars, restaurants and services.
You can reach Varenna by train in one hour from Milano Central Station.
You can join the house in a few steps from Varenna's railway station, following the direction Varenna and turning left at the bridge on the main road.
Arriving by car, it is possible to park in the covered parking place at the entrance of the village or in the parking places closest to the house, in Olivedo, following the local instructions.
You will receive all the informations about the use of the house at your arrival.
I ask guests to leave the sum of 35 euros in cash upon departure for the final cleaning of the apartment (in fact the price of my apartment does not include cleaning costs).
Furthermore, according to the provisions of the Municipality of Varenna, guests must pay a supplement of 3.00 euros per day (in cash) as a tourist tax. The tax is not paid after 7 consecutive days of stay. Children up to the age of 7 years are exempt from paying.

Hot water is supplied through an 80L boiler, so it will be necessary to wait a few minutes once this is emptied

ATTENTION: The house does not have a private parking, there are some public parking spaces in the area for a fee and at a disco time, but it may be difficult to find them during high season

Support Services

In-person assistance: Available from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Telephone support: Active until 12:00 a.m.
For any need or emergency, our staff is at your complete disposal at the times indicated.

Check-in and Reporting:

Standard check-in: 4:00 p.m.

Last-minute bookings: For last-minute bookings (on the same day), check-in may be subject to change. Our team will do their best to ensure the apartment is delivered as soon as possible.

Mandatory reports: Any problems or discrepancies in the apartment must be reported within 1 hour of arrival to allow for timely intervention

Waste Management - Separate Collection:

To preserve our beloved Earth, all the municipalities of Lake Como have arranged for the separate collection of garbage and it must be carried out in the following categories:

Glass / Plastic / Paper / Mixed waste

Important: Garbage bags are provided exclusively upon arrival. Any additional bags must be purchased independently by the guest (transparent format, small size).

Kitchen Amenities:

Each kitchen is equipped with:
Dishwasher gel (if present in the apartment)
Soap for washing machine
1 kitchen rag per stay
Note: We DO NOT provide kitchen paper towels.

Linens and Bathroom Items Provided:

For each guest, for the entire stay:
1 large towel

Complete set of sheets and pillowcases

For each apartment:
1 bath mat
Hand soap (dispenser on the sink)
Toilet paper (2 rolls provided only upon arrival and no additions are provided during the stay)
