I asked a member at the front desk which restaurants in the area would be good to eat at and he just told me “I don’t know, we have a restaurant here.” I then walked to a different hotel near this one and asked there staff who provided me with a whole list of restaurants, of which we ate at two and both were great. 3/5 stars for this hotel however paid 5 star prices no not worth it in my opinion. - "OMG Lake Como in Varenna was Amazing! We stayed at the Amazing Life House for five nights in May 2025. The Amazing Life House is actually an apartment on the back side of a condo/apartment rental building near the Varenna Ferry dock. The apartment is very well appointed with a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room. We really liked that the apartment included a washing machine so we could do laundry and a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and dishwasher so we could make breakfast each morning. The ferry is a 5-minute downhill walk from the apartment and there is a grocery store and cafe right across the street. Varenna is a walkable city with all the major attractions like the Lovers Walk (along the lakefront) and the Villas Monastero and Cipressi about 10-minutes away. If you plan to visit the Castle Vezio, wear your hiking shoes as it is a steep uphill incline the whole way (about 45 minutes). Also, I recommend taking the cobblestone stair path that is near the Amazing Life House. Do not try to get to Vezio Castle from the other end of town (by the villas), as that path is extremely rocky and steep and part of the path collapsed down the mountainside, making the climb quite treacherous. People seemed to be ignoring the "path closed" signs and going that way anyway. Because this is an apartment, you need to go to the Varenna Holidays tours desk (138 Via Venini) to get your key, which is only a few blocks away and not hard to find. Overall great experience!"

- "Lovely accommodations..wonderful hosts..great view over Lake Como and a great restaurant..just a short walk up the hill...Grotto di Pino..it an incredible view as well." - "Very nice clean place in beautiful location. Small but upscale. We enjoyed our 4 nights there very much. Seems quite luxurious for the size and all the amenities were there with a nice feeling of privacy. It was a big help that there was a washer/dryer. The only two things I can call drawbacks wouldn't even matter for most people. It's more like a studio than a one bedroom as there is no door between the kitchen and bedroom areas. My wife is a light sleeper so I couldn't make coffee or breakfast without the light or noise waking her. Also, the walking path to the entrance is up a small grass hill that would be no problem for most people, but my wife has a bad knee and hill was a small issue for her. All in all though I can highly recommend the place for a single person or couple looking for a place at Lake Como. Very private, relaxing, clean, well appointed, and nicely decorated. The neighborhood felt very safe and was close enough to everything we came to Varenna for. Having a garage to park in was also very nice."

- " how to start, to find your room it was like a scavenger hunt. They did provide very detailed instructions, it turned out as a mission to find it at 11 pm at night. The hotel is actually an apartment. There was a very strong cleaning product smell and also very damp. Wifi did not work. It got connect but nothing would load. As we arrived, we encountered 2 spiders jn the room. We did not have a car, so it is a good 25 min walk to the center. I have to give credit to Diego to who I just spoke over watzapp. He was very responsive and helpful. He also allowed us to leave our luggage the next day after check out so we could explore. They did provide a nice welcome box gift with some coffee, wine and snacks for the stay. No refill for the coffee though"
