As you look out from the balcony with a glass of local wine in hand it is easy to relax, enjoy the sunset and noises of the surrounding woodlands. Angelina is located close to the heart of Andalo, Trento with its wonderful new ski lifts that can be used in both the summer and winter months. Andalo is a village with all the amenities you will find in the larger towns such as an ice-rink, 3 supermarkets, huge sports centre with large swimming and leisure pool (with great slide), Cheese and wine tasting shops, shops selling only local produce and of course souvenir shops for you to take presents back to friends and family.
Nearby is the lake of Molveno with its fresh water supply direct from the mountains with wonderful walking and cycling paths. There is also a beach, pedalos, swimming pool, beach volleyball and crazy golf to keep you amused. Further afield is Lake Garda with the stunning views of the mountainside. Angelina is located on a hill 5 minutes walk from the centre of town and overlooks the village so you get wonderful views at night of the life of the village or when there is a festival on get to watch the fireworks from a great vantage point. It is only a 5 minute downhill walk with skis and boots to the ski lift of Rindole.
Angelina is located in a unit with only 14 other apartments which are second homes to their owners. It is a quiet and peaceful residence with lots of parking both inside and outside and very well maintained to a high standard.
Angelina is located on the 2nd floor of one of the side wings with no apartment above it (akin to a penthouse apartment). There is a lift from the ground floor to the apartment so you don't have to carry the shopping or your luggage up stairs. As part of the rental there is an indoor garage and a secure private store room with boot drying rack and ski holders so that you are ready to head out immediately the next morning with dry boots. It can also be used in the summer months if you need to dry out your walking boots.
The apartment has a fully fitted kitchen/living room, larder, two spacious bathrooms and two bedrooms. The kitchen comprises of a dishwasher, coffee/tea making facilities, hob, cooker, large sink, toaster, kettle etc. There is a table and chairs to seat six persons. Next to the kitchen is the larder to store all your shopping. In the living area there is a TV, DVD, games and sofa. The master bedroom has a double bed and large wardrobe with shelving, hanging space for all your clothes. In the double bedroom there are two single beds with fitted storage underneath. We arrived in early June which is a very quiet time of year (suited us!) Very easy to follow directions from the Autostrada. The apartment was well positioned, away from the centre with views over the meadows and forest. It was well equipped, clean and had enough space for the two of us. Michele, the local contact was very helpful and patient with my patchy Italian, and the owners were also very helpful and responsive on the lead up to the holiday as well as when we had a small issue to deal with during our stay. There are plenty of walks from the apartment as well as a variety of other walks ranging from a short drive away (Molveno) to an hour (RIva del Garda, Trento, Bolzano and Lago di Tovel, a beautiful lake in the mountains). Andalo has plenty of restaurants from pizza to local Trentino fare (we really liked Al Faggio, which is near the church) and three supermarkets; there are other shops and a handy petrol station. - "This apartment is on the ground floor and well laid out. Our family of 5, which included adult sized teenagers, had ample place to eat at the dining table, sleep, shower, spread out in the living room. The beds were all very comfortable and the bathroom large. Luigi was kind enough to bring us ice from his own apartment the first night we arrived so we could have our nightly cocktail. (Pack your own small ice tray if you enjoy the same ritual or your kids want their cokes ice cold. Only about half the apartments we stayed in provided them and with it as hot as it is in Italy, it’s worth the space in your luggage!) Andalo is a cute town, where we took the cable car up so my husband and sons could mountain bike, and my daughter and I could hike down. We ended up in Moreno at the lake at the end of our days activities to hang out, swim, paddle board, etc. If you have young children, Moreno is a fantastic place to spend time-there are playgrounds, a small water park (extra fee I believe), a bike park, boat rentals, tennis courts - all at a small, park area right on the lake with the most incredible alpine lake scenery. It reminds me of Lake Tahoe but 1/100 the size and without the summer crowds and traffic. We were surrounded by Italians enjoying their spectacular backyard, not thousands of American tourists. We stayed three nights and wish we had time on our trip to slow down and spend a week."
