Just a few minutes walk takes you to the gondola for a quick ride up the hill, where walking teails let us explore with a view of the dolomites. And the hotel includes the Bolzano Card, which covers the admission fee for the museum and the gondola, and several other places we visited."

Surrounded by numerous quaint old farms, worth seeing almost historical buildings, our holiday home is also the direct starting point for numerous cozy hiking trails in the nearby area. B. to Pfelders, Lazinser Hof and Lazinser Alm.
For the children there is always something to discover on our farm and in the stable and should boredom arise, there is a small children's playground with trampoline and swing on our yard.

Our main area of activity is dairy farming. We have a stable with cows where the cows are milked and fed every morning and evening.

Piganò House is a recently renovated ancient house, dating back to the 16th century, preserving its original charming rural qualities. The house is centrally located in the former old historic center of Appiano. It is situated in a wonderful area with its own unique castles and aristocratic residences, vineyards and beautiful surroundings. It is an ideal destination for hikers, bikers and culture lovers.

Everyone is WELCOME at our farm, the small Punihof in Mals! Although we only speak German, a little Italian and Swiss German,
but we also make a great effort to communicate with guests who speak other languages!
We practice nature-appropriate breeding of fattening cattle and pigs. Our home is located at about 1100 m, a little off the beaten track surrounded by meadows, forest, stream, mountains, almost like on an alpine pasture !! :) Relaxation, tranquility, animals and the almost untouched nature here! :)

The space
Our apartment is about 100 m². 2 bedrooms with box spring beds 1 children's room with 2 single beds, a beautiful spacious kitchen fully equipped, coffee maker, dishwasher egg cooker toaster it is all there to cook together comfortably. There is also a satellite TV in the kitchen and you can use the Wi-Fi for free. Bathroom with shower, toilet, as well as a washing machine. In front of the house, there is a parking space. The rooms are bright, have large windows and are equipped with insect screens.

Our vacation on the farm is ideal for relaxing, letting the children enjoy a little freedom, whether it's with the animals, working on the farm on our large playground, with a swing, trampoline, romping around; to celebrate a barbecue; without it bothering anyone....!! :) Deck chairs for lounging, seating and in summer we set up our swimming pool again; starting point for wonderful hikes, bike tours or ski activities. Lots of culture, sights, and the train station is only 5 minutes away from the farm!! If it rains, there are many interesting ways to keep busy. We will gladly inform you on site. Sportwell Mals, for example, offers an indoor pool, outdoor pool, bowling bar and wellness pizzeria and can be reached in 5 minutes.

We expect our guests to treat our new apartment as their own!There is a lot of love in it. Please leave it swept clean on departure!
The local tax in Mals is €1.25 per person aged 14 and over per night (will be charged separately)!

We warmly welcome you to the Mühlhof! Our farm has been in our possession since 1896 and is situated above Lake Kaltern at an altitude of 615 meters. Our farm´s first commercial activity was the mill, where grain was ground until the 1950s, hence its name. Over the years, we have transitioned to fruit growing and viticulture, a testament to our commitment to the land.
Our farm is only a few minutes away from the Rastenbachklamm gorge, in a quiet and idyllic location in the middle of the forest.

The space
Apartment `Plentnkessl - corn pan´ is in the former living room of the mill farm, in a classic hillside chalet along the road connecting the town of Kaltern (Caldaro in Italian) with the village of Altenburg (Castelvecchio in Italian). The apartment has a bathroom, bedroom, and new big kitchen. As visible in the outside photos, the hallway leading to the apartment is reachable at the top of the stairs.

Outside the building (reachable through a door at the end of the hallway and stairs up the hillside) is a sundeck with lounge chairs overlooking our small, attached vineyard and the adjacent waterfall.

Registration on arrival
Once you arrive, local law requires us to register your details for the authorities. At that point, we must also collect the local tourist tax (currently 2.00 euros per person) in cash.

Free public transport card. As part of your stay, we are happy to offer you the local tourist pass, which provides free access to local buses, trains (all over Sud-Tirol), museums, and other attractions for your stay.

Also included is a map of local vineyards, where the tourist pass provides a 50% discount for tastings.

The Untersteinhof is situated in an idyllic and quiet position. Our farm house invites you to rest and relax in pleasant atmosphere and cosiness. Fit for the day you discover the farm life, make a sunbath or you lace up your travelling shoes and start directly from the farm to numerous travelling sightings!

Our flats dispose of a completely furnished kitchen, a living room with coffeemaker, fridge, baking pipe, and microwave. They' re equipped with shower, WC, SAT TV. The use of the towels, dish towels and bedclothes is included in the price as well as final cleaning, water and stream. Breadservice everyday.

The “farm house” (90,81 m²) has a spacious kitchen, a separate living room made in typical south-tyrolian woodn-style with an original wood-burning oven, a double bedroom, a triple-bedroom and a generous balcony (south).
