The two level apartment comfortably sleeps up to 8 in 3 bedrooms and there is an option of also using the sofa bed in the lounge to take the maximum capacity to 9. The kitchen and lounge facilities are slightly smaller and are best suited for groups of up to 5 or 6 or those larger groups who plan to spend their days in the outdoors and to have most their meals at outside the apartment.
On the upper level there is one family room (one double bed & two singles) with an en-suite bathroom (bath/shower/WC) and balcony.
The rest of the of the apartment is on the lower level with an open plan lounge / kitchen / hallway that gives access to the upper floor by a spiral staircase.

The beds and bedding were very comfortable and we loved the views. We enjoyed opening the windows in the evening to hear the river as we went to sleep. It was very peaceful and quiet. The apartment easily accommodated our group of 8 people. The layout of the upstairs family room was perfect for our 4 boys and the view from their room was amazing. The two downstairs bedrooms were both very well laid out and each had beautiful views. In the evening after skiing, we used the large sofa and kitchen chairs and had plenty of room to talk, play games and watch TV. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed and even had some extra spices that came in handy! Management was very helpful and available to help with suggestions and information. In particular, I was very grateful to John for helping us to get in our apartment on the first day when I had forgotten the code to get the key."

Sölden is one of the highest holiday resorts in Europe with a long winter season and a blooming summer season. The place has 145 km of slopes and is known for the "BIG3", three peaks over 3,000 m. Obergurgl is particularly popular with the British with 110 km of slopes. Both places also offer many hiking and biking trails. Zwieselstein itself is a small, picturesque town with 3 restaurants that are easily accessible on foot. Regular buses connect Zwieselstein with Sölden and Obergurgl.

A delightful sunny apartment situated on the first floor with imposing mountain views from the south facing Lounge and Balcony.

The House is situated in the alpine village of Zwieselstein (1.472 m), in the Ötztal Valley, arguably the prettiest in the Tirol. ‘Residenz Zwieselstein’ is 3km to the South of Sölden in the heart of the Ötztal Alps. A beautiful south facing, bright apartment surrounded by tree lined mountains. Ideal for high altitude Skiing in winter & Walking and Cycling in the summer, the apartment is a 10 minute drive from two world class ski resorts of Sölden and Gurgl. Both host annual FIS World Cup competitions, with Sölden featured in James Bond Spectre.
The apartment is warm, cosy and quiet, with two kingsized bedrooms, ample storage space, two bathrooms and an open plan living/kitchen area.

The space
The two bedroom south facing apartment is bright and benefits from a large balcony, ideal for relaxing on warm spring, summer and autumn days.
It has a well equipped kitchen, including oven & hob, microwave, dishwasher.
The two bedrooms are furnished to a high standard with kingsized beds and split mattresses, the main bedroom benefits from having an en-suite shower room, the second bathroom is adjacent to the second bedroom.

Guest access
In the basement of the building can be found a communal ski boot and ski store room with heated ski boot racks. There is also a communal washing machine and tumble dryer.

Other things to note
Guests are required to complete local tourist tax forms upon arrival, the tax payable is currently included in the rental cost.

Between the resorts of Obergurgl and Sölden Apartment 5 Residenz Zwieselstein is perfectly set up for a fabulous skiing or summer holiday in the Tyrol. Also great for longer rentals (28+ days) with additional discounts. Situated on the ground floor the apartment has a double and a twin room, each with its own luxury shower room. There is a good-sized communal ski/boot room with bootwarmers and communal washing machines.

The space
Residenz Zwieselstein is set in the picturesque village of Zwieselstein in the Ötztal valley between the famous ski resorts of Obergurgl and Sölden. The apartment is less than 200m from the ski bus stop with regular connections to neighbouring resorts. The main lift in Sölden is 5 minutes away by bus. In Summer, the peaceful village is a good starting point for beautiful walks. The Ötztal valley hosts many sporting opportunities including white water rafting, climbing, tennis and access to numerous pools including the luxury natural thermal spa: the Aqua Dome.

Guest access
There is an extensive supply of crockery, kitchen and dining utensils. Storage space is available for smaller items. Stairs or lift access down to the boot / ski room.

Other things to note
Although arrivals on a Sunday are our preference, in general guests can arrive any day of the week. An advantage of Sunday departures is much less transfer traffic on the roads compared to a Saturday in the Tirol. Also the ski slopes are much emptier on the Saturday which can enhance the last day of your holiday!
