The space
The "Apart Rauch" currently awarded with 4 Edelweiss is located in the beautiful and snow-sure village of Obergurgl at 1905 meters only 5 minutes walk from the center.
This small and cosy village, also called the "Diamond of the Alps", has less than 400 inhabitants and is located at the extreme end of the Tyrolean Ötztal.
The fact that the place is already at an altitude of 1930 m above sea level is one of the factors why Obergurgl is one of the most snow-assured places and ski resorts in Europe.

Other things to note
In total, the Gurgl ski area has 120 kilometres of ski slopes, of which 95 kilometres are equipped with snow-making systems. The snowmaking systems ensure that you always have enough snow under your skis, even in busy areas, and that the season is guaranteed from mid-November to early-May.
