- "I recently stayed at Locanda Del Benaco for a girls weekend away, well couldn’t have asked for a better location with views overlooking Lake Garda. On arrival the lady on reception was welcoming and showed us to our rooms, which were next door. They were modern and clean and far better than many 4 star hotels I have stayed at. Bed was really comfortable and loved the shower. Breakfast was mainly continental but they offer choice of eggs and great to set you up for the day, we didn’t eat in the restaurant during I visit but now really wished we had. I plan to visit Salo again with my husband and will definitely stay there again."

The pool was clean with plenty of sunbeds, and covered awnings if you wanted shade. The food was good and one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had! The restaurant was good and always busy with local people. Rooms were clean and functional. We had a balcony but it was beside the busy road so didn’t go out there. One thing that was slightly weird was a repeated banging noise every night for about 1 minute at around 4am. It happened every night that we were there but couldn’t work out if it was inside the hotel or outside. One small thing about the room that would have made it perfect and that is tea and coffee facilities in the room. There weren’t any however it was available at all times down in the restaurant. "
