Absolutely recommended and we would certainly stay again. " - "This is a small hotel that is very close to most of the main attractions in old Havana. It is clean and quiet, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I think it is a family running the place. It is completely walkable to everywhere I wanted to go. The only things I could find to mention that were less than perfect was the wifi access, though that seems to be a problem throughout the country, so I certainly can not blame the hotel for that. And there was internet, it is just slow and a bit glitchy, but certainly workable so long as you are patient. Also, the restaurant on site seems nice, though I thought it was a bit expensive, so I chose to eat in the other places near by. Havana has no shortage of restaurants, and good food costs good money, but it was just a bit more than I was hoping to spend on this trip. That is not a criticism, just an observation. If I was back in Havana in the future I would not hesitate to stay here again."

- "My husband and I were here for our anniversary. Also our first visit to Cuba! The house is not located in Havana which was fine with me! The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They will take great care of you. Shout out to Adrian, Ivan, and Jennifer! A/C in room and we had the king room with shower too. Breakfast is good if you’re a morning eater. They will literally take your order each day. Go to Pazillo for cocktails, food, and music that you can walk to. Also visit As Cafe for local food. If you are in Havana go to Maximo. We ate there many times. Get the shrimp in garlic sauce. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it! We didn’t get to experience the rooftop bar because we were out so next time. "

The lady of the house was incredible,she made me feel so important. The gentleman who was the night watchman was a sweet,friendly older man. - "The apartment is located in the heart of Habana Vieja, walking distance to all important sights. It felt quite safe since there are always many people on the street. The view is just wonderful, it is the top floor of one of the tallest buildings and you can see over the whole city center and over to the lighthouse. The hosts very super nice and helped with everything needed. We were a bit surprised about the way of preparing breakfast (im the apartment and then waiting to be able to wash dishes after) or cleaning, but I'm sure other arrangements can be made if needed. On the other hand it is the perfect opportunity to practice your Spanish:) If you are looking for a place which is in the middle of everything and still quiet, this is the perfect choice."

The area is actually in the Habana Centro, not Vieja, so it is quite run down, although surprisedly clean. We like having access to a kitchen and laundry machines during our week there. We had problems checking in, as we did not get any communication from the host prior to arrival, no instructions to access the apartment. The neighbor had let us in the outside door and called Raul, the host, but we ended up sitting on the steps for about an hour until someone arrived to let us in. Raul arrived a while later to do the paperwork, it turned out they had to go to the airport to pickup someone. It would've been nice to have prior communication prior so we could have a smooth checkin process. And there's no wifi as advertised on Expedia. Everything else went well. "

- "This property is amazing! Mary is a wonderful host. She lives in the apartment next door. I was a little worried when booking because I didn't see any reviews for this property however my worries we're quickly alleviated. As soon as I booked, I received a message from the property. Mary kept in constant contact with me and was always available. This apartment is a completely separate unit (which is a bonus because typically 'Casa's' are a shared house with the owner). It has a full kitchen, two bathrooms, and a front common room as well as two bedrooms. I quickly learned to never judge anything in Cuba by the exterior. Especially in historical areas as the government has control over the facades of the buildins. The location of this Casa is perfect. Everything is within walking distance. I stayed here with my Dad and he is 70 and uses a cane and we got around just fine."

- "Everything " - "Everything was amazing! The casa I stayed in is different than the one in the picture, and let me tell you, it is even better and beautiful! It was clean and fresh, the AC was so cool, and it was quiet in my room. Yai was very friendly and helpful. She allowed me to check in early because I arrived in Havana before check in time. She loaned me a Cuban sim card to get internet data, she recommended places to eat. etc. and even offered to call and make reservations for me. I couldn't get through to my hotel in Colombia where I was going to stay next and she called and messaged them for me, because there was some check in instructions that I needed. She got a taxi to take me to the beach and to the airport etc. She gave me directions on where to go. She went above and beyond!
