Literally the only thing that let me down was the fact the listing states they speak Spanish and English. Which is perfect cos sadly I don't speak Spanish. However this wasn't so useful. I was checked in and greeted by two staff, the one that showed me the room spoke to me in Spanish despite me saying I didn't know it, understandably she doesn't speak English. So I've no idea what she was saying about the room or anything. She was trying to get me to go in the bathroom and was very insistent but I don't know what she wanted me to do. As this was my first visit to Cuba I didn't know where anything was, the staff member I spoke to in the morning had a better grasp of English but not much better. Noone seemed to know Havana from a tourist perspective so couldn't answer any of my questions. I was trying to book a train to travel across the island and noone there knew how to do this or where to go. That was the case for all the enquiries I had as a tourist. Also I couldn't get my head around the conversion of money in Cuba and the staff member got quite impatient with me about that. "

This is Havana and I’m sure building codes were different from the US. In all I loved the area. It was quiet and save and very close to the Malecón. I enjoyed taking daily walks there. "
