Our bedding had small stains reliably after every change although I am sure they were clean. Location is beautifully serene but extremely isolated, so not even a shop to purchase amenities or snacks. We had a younger German family with two very young children 6months and 2 the grounds were perfect and they had plenty of room and safe. Dusita is very well located and caters for all your requirements motorbike hire, kayak hire etc and there are a few really good restaurants situated within 5-10 minutes outside the ground recommend the corner drink and food. Staff excellent!"

For instance, there is a charge for ice and food to take away. If you break a glass 200 thb. Also the kayaks were at a cost ok no problem (even though I read they were free) but the paddleboards were expensive and they were in a pretty bad state…actually good for the bin as they were missing chunks and really not safe for use. - "Totally amazing experience. At this resort I would come back again and again and again." - "We had a great time. The beach is one of the most beautiful on the island with less influence of the tides and less crowded than other beaches. The nature and the environment were amazingly beautiful with a lot of palm trees and flowers. Moreover one can rent a Kayak for free every day for one hour and go snorkeling nearby to check out the amazing sea life in the rocks at a beach only a few 100 meters away. We did not stay in the bungalows but took an appartment in the building which is a 3 minutes walk to the reception and maybe 6 minutes to the beach. Even for this small distance a golf cart shuttle was abailable. The service is good, the staff friendly and they make your appartment every day if you wish so. The beds are very comfortable. Partly it could have been a little cleaner but it was still ok/good enough. Lastly one can rent a scooter for 300 Baht (125ccm) or 400 Baht (160ccm) per day which is a good service."

- "We had a fabulous 5 night stay at Wendy. It’s a boutique resort on stunning beach and a wonderful place to relax as a family or a couple. The rooms were lovely and actually bigger than expected - the high ceilings are nice too. Walking out to your deck and into a massive pool is great. The restaurant right on the beach has a small but delicious menu. We particularly loved their the mango, coconut, and pineapple shakes. The breakfast buffet was always good with lots of variety. The staff are friendly and eager to help. As it’s a small resort they personally know all the guests quickly. Not all the staff know much English but this was never a problem and if there is an issue one of the two managers will quickly be able to assist. The beach is simply spectacular. Powdery sand, clear warm water that is sometimes as still as a pool. Never too crowded. It’s a short walk to the main road where there are a few other cafes, restaurants and simple shops. There are two ATM’s on the main road. If you’ve never been too Koh Kood, it’s a quiet island and not to place to go for nightlife. Getting around will require a rented scooter or hiring a private taxi through the hotel. "

There is also a local restaurant behind the hotel that serve local food too at half the price of the hotel for those looking to eat good food for less money. We travelled with our 16month old baby and one of the nights he was quite ill with a cough. the hotel organised a car for us to go to the hospital within 10 minutes of asking. we saw a doctor at the local hospital whils the driver waited with us and took us back. Luckily all was good with baby. We stayed in one of the delux villas which was amazing, spacious and more importantly, spotless and clean. Beach is lovely with the river flowing to the side of hotel which is crystal clear water as is the sea. Beautiful spot. We loved it here the 5 nights we stayed and would recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and be looked after. Can’t wait to return."

- "Our apartment was very large with a balcony including a hammock. The resort is located up a little hill, but you can reach the „main road“ within 5 mins. It’s a very quiet place and a breeze cooks down the room so we never had to use the aircondition, but only the fan. Mr. Peak, the manager, is a very helpful and friendly person. The only thing I didn't like was that the room got very bright in the morning so it made me wake up very early. Such a family hotel. The rooms are large, there are designer paintings and furniture in the room. Bathroom the room is also big, the water was always. Cleaned every day. Orthopedic mattresses and as much as 6 soft pillows, very comfortable to sleep. Hotel owner Jay is a kind and helpful person. He will always solve all your questions on vacation. He will tell where you can go and what's interesting to see on the island. Where you can have breakfast and lunch. You can rent a scooter from him without any collateral, or use the free by bicycle. He has a bandage to close the wound and you can order a cheap beer, it will be delivered directly to you in fridge. He even tells you where to go in Bangkok. He knows everything! Bravo Jay! - "We loved A La Koh Kood. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Robert was amazing. The food at the resort was so good. We loved th chicken cashew nut and the shrimp tempura. The room was clean and spacious. We used the main sitting area in our bungalow every night. The beach was stunning. The only negative would be the access road coming into the resort. It was a 10 min very bumpy uneven road. This is not the resorts fault though...the government is responsible for the road and doesnt fix it."

- "The experience was mixed as we had problems with check-in. The staff was not immediately present at reception (we were obviously the only guests in the hotel). After we were given a room, the bed sheets were not clean so the room had to be changed. Otherwise the room including bathroom was clean though. We were given a better (newer) small bungalow, which was fine but the whole hassle with check-in spoiled our impression. There is no minibar in the room, only two bottles of water were provided in the fridge."
