- "Our apartment was very large with a balcony including a hammock. The resort is located up a little hill, but you can reach the „main road“ within 5 mins. It’s a very quiet place and a breeze cooks down the room so we never had to use the aircondition, but only the fan. Mr. Peak, the manager, is a very helpful and friendly person. You always get fresh coffee (from Chian Mai) for only 30 Baht. He also rents scooters. " - "I had a great stay at Good Time Sports Village on Koh Mak. The Jungle View room was much better than expected, comfy and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The staff were super friendly, especially the porter, who was very helpful (maybe a bit too helpful—he kept offering rides, but I rented a scooter instead). The German lady in charge was really kind and welcoming. I was a bit nervous because of some mixed reviews, but my experience was really positive. Compared to pricier options on nearby islands like Koh Kood and Koh Chang, this place felt affordable, though it could be slightly cheaper. The gym, pool, and yoga classes were nice, but don’t expect a full-on sports complex. If you’re into fitness, check out the nearby Elite Fight Club Muay Thai camp—it’s awesome and underrated. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re traveling solo or as a couple. It’s a great base to explore the island, relax, and do some activities. Definitely recommend! The only thing I didn't like was that the room got very bright in the morning so it made me wake up very early. Also there were alot of birds or something bouncing around on the roof which kept me awake. So sleep quality could have been better."

- "We had a very good stay at the Sea View Resort until the end. We booked the boat for our next destination Koh Kood with the owner of the resort, two days in advance. On the day itself we just sat and waited at the resort for three hours before someone was suppose to pick us up at the resort and bring us to the boat (everything arranged by the owner). But when the taxi was 10 minutes to late we were starting to worry, our boat was suppose to leave in 5 minutes. The owner told us not to worry since he never heard the boat arriving at the pier.. so ten minutes later someone picked us up and on the way we heard that the boat already left. The owner followed us and told us the problem again and when we got angry he sad but it's not my fault, I can't do anything about it. His only solution was we could stay one night for free, but of course we didn't want to stay longer on Koh Mak. It his responsibility but he didn't want to help us. He left angry, what kind of hospitality is that?! Ooh and the food is pretty expensive if you compare it to other places with Thai food."
