Room had an elevated bed with a bench at the end. As a person going into their sixties with a knee problem i would have preferred a regular height bed with a couch at the end. The staff were awesome. They had massages at the poolside that we took everyday. Professional well trained and very reasonably priced. A great value. We did one hour oil massage for 450 baht every day. The resort was nicely kept and was so peaceful. We came from a busier beach tye week before and loved it but this was a special kind of relaxation. We dod not do alot everyday just ate a beautiful breakfast, swam, massage relaxed but the pool and completely chilled out. It was such a relaxing hotel. We arranged through them a full day snorkeling tour of 4 locations and that was a highlight. The have a nice buffet breakfast but it tends to get a bit boring after a few days. They have tiny pre-made omelets, sunny side eggs, ham and chicken hotdogs mainly for western items and varied Thai dishes as well as salad, bread, etc. The main changes are to the Thai breakfast dishes so my suggestion is to make changes to the western food items a well. - "When I chose Aana through Expedia, I had surveyed locations around the area by reading and researching. Aana delivered on all its promises. The setting is very rustic as the individual rooms are nestled among well established trees and shrubbery. There are flowers and flowering plants along with a variety of birds to complete the tropical feel. The design of this sprawling resort offers comfort, coziness, and isolation among closely located units. We choose a unit with its own plunge pool/jacuzzi. This is a wonderful treat. The intimacy and privacy offered with this amenity is well worth the additional price point. If you want a much larger version of a pool, there is one on the property. I mentioned the rustic feeling of the setting, and that is evident by the stressed wood that is used to build decking, walkways, etc. Aana is a hidden gem with a charm all its own. There are nooks and crannies within the resort that are wonderful to discover. The daily breakfast buffet offered an outstanding variety of fresh fruits, local and international dishes, and egg and local treats cooking stations. The staff throughout the facility was always friendly, helpful, and extremely courteous. Overall, Aana is clean and comfortable, if a bit slightly worn (our bed). Transportation in and around the facility is provided by local taxis (arranged by the front desk) into town, while a motorized flat or platform boat shuttles you to and from the nearby beach. We plan to return!"

- "We rented the Honeymoon Villa for our 43rd anniversary splurge. Right on the beach. Sand at my fingertips. I loved it. It was a dream come true. The villa itself tho, is dated and dark. It is a beautiful wooden interior, and that needs to be saved, but a few bright lamps would help. There is a loud, nighttime, beach side, bar in the evening. It's really fun!! 😀 The staff there are awesome. And always acknowledged us, thank you! Overall, I really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was good. Nice buffet of Eastern and Western food. Good fresh veg and fruit. "

Our first impression of this place was disappointing, but we soon warmed up to it. The staff were so nice, the location was excellent, the beach was 20 steps from our room, the food at the restaurant was sooooo good (except instant coffee at breakfast) and it was not on the main street so it was very quiet. The resort is a bit run down but we soon found that most of the resorts are. The pandemic has been hard on them all. A few things that we didn’t like (mostly first world problems): the room is so basic there’s not even a chair inside, no extras like hair conditioner or hair dryer, and no safe (so we used the lockers in the office). These are all things we could live with. The one thing that we really didn’t like is all the clutter and junk on the property. There are piles of old nets, broken chairs, rusty freezers and general clutter piled around. It really takes away from the quaintness of the property. For the price it’s a good stay. The pool was nice, the rooms were very clean, the restaurant was very simple but the cook was amazing (honestly had our best Thai dishes here), we could sit on beach chairs all day and not have to pay (but we did have to fight for shade in the afternoon). The sunsets were awesome and there were lots of choices for food or drinks within a short walk (either on the beach or on the street). Some resorts were by noisy bars but this place was so quiet…except for the sound of the surf. "
