- "Loved it here, staff was so wonderful! " - "This property is stunning and so well designed. It’s quaint and classy. The food in the restaurant is delicious, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the common area is well set up. I had the junior suite with a private pool and it was amazing. I really enjoyed my stay. The only downside is that it’s on a long dirt road off the main road and I didn’t feel comfortable walking down it (single female). I think if I was with another person I wouldn’t have felt that way. However you can order a tuktuk no problem and they will take you almost anywhere for 300 shn. Also the one morning when I was meeting a driver for some diving the security guard walked me along the road and was very nice about it. I absolutely loved my stay here and would highly recommend it. Nora, Daniel and their staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating. We had massage and manicure come to our room and it was so convenient (it was the best message we have had in our lives). Upon arrival, we were informed that because we hadn’t pre-booked breakfast, no meals would be available the following day—even if we wished to pay for them—due to an event taking place. We explained that we needed access to food due to health conditions, but no alternative solution was offered. Additionally, we were promised a water dispenser that never arrived. Later that evening, the air conditioner began leaking, creating a large puddle of water in our room. To make matters worse, there was no phone in the room to contact reception for assistance. You have to go to the lobby or poolside. Both times i stayed the air conditioning wasnt working in the room and i ended up having to move to another room. I had been traveling all day and already unpacked so it was an issue. Also there is only one air conditioner in the bedroom so the rest of the rooms stay very hot. There tend to be aot of monkeys and flies when eating."

- "Retro Boutique is a great, small hotel near Diani Beach. I stayed in the deluxe double room on the top floor, and I was amazed at how large my room was. Most if not all the rooms have a balcony, but my room had two balconies. One in the front of the room and one in the back of the room. The water pressure in the bathroom was good, the A/C was cold, and the wifi was fast. My bed also had a mosquito net, but I don't think it was necessary. Also, the breakfast was delicious and it was a hefty amount too. There is a smart TV in the room that is connected to the wifi, but there are no TV channels. Also, there was no in room safe. The staff was lovely, helpful, and I had no problems talking to them in english. I would stay here again. "

- "An absolute pearl on the Kenyan coast. The location is quite and beautiful, with professional and super friendly staff and management. The food was amazing and served in wonderful atmosphere. We stayed for five nights and enjoyed every second, either on the beach or in the pool, watching baby turtles crawl to the sea with the Tiwi Turtle Police or visiting the nearby star fish sanctuary and the African pool.
