I am not sure how much they can speak English. but many signs are both Japanese and English. plus there are many restaurants around the hotel! This is the super good deal! and one convenience store and one super market waiting 5 min walking distance. From Matsusaka station, about 10 min walk. oh one more thing, they offer free very tasty good coffee in front of the front desk from 3:00. This price w/this extra high quality!"

Service was good old Japanese style, though mentioning that no cleaning for the day but asking for coffee and new towels did not work.
