There is also a lazy pool near the rooms. Rooms are large and come with a mini fridge and hair dryer. No microwave. No iron. Microwave is in the common area on the floor below the front office. The resort serves an excellent buffet breakfast which is replenished regularly by the kind lady server. Front office is very kind, efficient and helpful. Check-in was a breeze. There is a bar near the pool that offers a choice of cocktails and alcohol. There is also a mini zoo in the resort which houses a peacock and peahens, fouls, geese, ducks, goats, ponies and other colorful birds. The beach is a 5 min drive away. Worth visiting Praia de Mira the beach. The town of Mira does not have too much to offer otherwise. People at Mira did not come across as friendly or helpful as compared to other parts of Portugal. Restaurants in the beach area and the other parts of town are pretty pricey. Very few good low cost dining options. The resort offers grand buffet dinner, but you need to pre-book. I would sure recommend the resort but not the town of Mira."

- "Perfect " - "We absolutely adored the Quinta da Lagoa. Two lovely pools, great staff, beautiful grounds, lots to do. Just a short drive to both Mira and Praia de Mira, which have great restaurants. About a 25 minute drive to Aveiro. The mattresses are not as hard as most other Portuguese hotels, thank goodness. The breakfast is as good as other Portuguese hotels we've been to: consider it a good continental breakfast, while recognizing that the hot portion isn't so... hot, lol. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. I had stayed here alone two years previously, and had been wanting to bring my wife since then. This time we both went, and she loved it as much as I did. We'll definitely be coming back!"
