- "Nice stay overall. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Located at train station (but did not hear trains for most part) so convenient and also easy walking access to shops and restaurants. Smallish rooms all three of ours had steps right at the entranceway which made it awkward for luggage. That said I noticed most of the other rooms did not appear to have this. We had two suitcases and two backpack and we could open one of them in the room each time we need to grab something from our luggages. This hotel is extremely expensive on the amenities they could offer to the guests."

- "Fabulous hotel. Think it had only just re-opened post a change of ownership and total refurbishment so was spotless. Rooms were very large for Japan with amazing views across the harbour to the sea. Lots of very helpful staff. Lovely rooftop bar (they gave us a voucher for a free drink when we checked in!) and breakfast was very tasty although traditional Japanese i.e. rice, miso, vegetables and rice. Walkable down to the town/harbour but it's a quite a big hill / lots of steps coming back! "

This is a new building with one of those room switches that turns off all power when you take your room key out of the slot. This power shutoff includes all climate control and the fridge. Fridge is an odd wall unit that will literally hold 3 bottles of beer, it is about 3 inches deep. Everything was clean and comfortable, good for the day we spent in Onomichi before starting bike ride over the islands the next day. 1 block walk from the covered market straet for food, etc. With 2 suitcases, one person has to be on a bed for the other person to move around. We had to open and close suitcases many times to function."
