A dramatic storm swept through during our visit, cutting off electricity and water for a night, but the resort graciously waived the charge for what was supposed to be a luxury evening. In the end, it only added to the unique charm and adventure of our stay. We loved the memory of a spooky castle setting and were blown away by the efforts made to put on an exquisite breakfast buffet, regardless of the storm. We were upgraded to a luxury suite, a gesture that reflected the resort’s impeccable hospitality. The suite was an absolute dream. Dining was equally phenomenal, with farm-to-table ingredients and indulgent truffle dishes and phenomenal service and wine selection. What made our stay extra special was connecting with the staff, some of whom hail from the same countries my partner and I had visited together. We also enjoyed walks into the surrounding woods, taking full advantage of the occasional warm weather to immerse ourselves in the peaceful Tuscan countryside. Best resort and staff!"

The room was comfortable and breakfast was great, my wife is vegan and Stefano and Massimo made sure there was always plenty of options available. Thanks Hotel Da Vinci!" - "Bed was very hard. I did ask for a mattress topper but it was so thin that it made no difference. Paper cups in the room were disappointing. Would have expected proper cups given that we had tea and coffee making facilities. Glasses for water were also plastic. Tea and coffee were not replenished each day. Nor was the water. Only allowed for one day of your stay! The balcony was different to the photo and also close to a busy road so not relaxing. The breakfast was good with plenty of variety. The set evening meal was in a different hotel across the road and very poor. No one eating in there says it all. The manager was however very apologetic and did not charge us. Hopefully they can put this right. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful."

Sadly the snow was lacking and by 2 o’clock the bottom slopes were slush and unskiable, however, this wasn’t the hotels fault and more global warming and the lack of snow throughout March. The Spa in the hotel I believe is worth it (20€) and you get 3 hours to chill out. The food was good although, a little pricey, 77€ for a starter and 2 mains washed down by a house glass of white and 1 local beer is a little steep. The staff spoke English and they had a Land Rover shuttle service to the slopes which was nice. It is a ski in and ski out hotel, but no snow made that impossible. Myself and the girlfriend will 100% be going back...though maybe a little earlier in the ski season."

We are located in the green of the Pistoian hills, 12 km from the city and 8 km from the Zoological Garden, with which we have an agreement. The area is panoramic and quiet, ideal for relaxation and walks. On the first and second floor, there are our rooms and those of the guests.
