- "The Hotel was a flat easy walk to the old town and Wenceslas Square. The room was bright, comfortable and clean. We only had a shower, but the water was always hot. Breakfast was great with a very good selection of continental style food, also hot British style served via a buffet. There were a couple of bars opposite the hotel which served food in the evening. Also a shopping centre just around the corner, with a Starbucks and other food options. Overall I would highly recommend the hotel and would visit again."

My third stay there and whenever I am in Prague, I will be there again. On the con side, the breakfast buffet is decent, not spectacular and the shower is terrible as it is a hand wand anchored to the lip of the utb you are in, not a great shower - if you are a bath person, you are, however, in for a treat. Nevertheless, the Iron Gate does not disappoint and it is my only choice in the most beautiful city in the world. Quick tip, when exiting the hotel, about 100 yards to the right is the Kavárna Kočičí Praha, a cat cafe. If you are a cat person, this place will make your day, call ahead and make reservations as it is hard to get into this place. "
