That means there will be other guests on the property at the same time as you, and our innkeepers will be nearby, in the guest house, if you need anything during your stay. They will also check you in, give you the lay of the land, and answer any questions you may have.

The Suite can be rented with the James Hannah Suite for adjoining room access.

The house itself holds the public spaces on the ground floor including the entryway and powder bath, the library, the drawing room, dining room, kitchen, butler's pantry, and laundry room. There are 4 porches off the ground floor and the large pool and spa are steps away, just outside the drawing room. Upstairs you will find all five bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and two of which have a terrace overlooking the pool and gardens. There is parking onsite for up to 4 vehicles, as well as unlimited street parking out front.

While built in 1886, the house remains very original, as we are only the 4th owners. Throughout you will see original wallpaper, flooring, lighting, and a variety of handcrafted Victorian details. We do have modern bathrooms, a large gas stove, a dishwasher, laundry machines, and a music system but (as noted above) there are no TVs in the house. We invite you to relax and enjoy a simpler way of life, without a screen in front of you. We are only a short walk from the historic downtown Main Street where you will find many great restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, retail boutiques, and the tourist center. Its also about a 25 minute drive to the entrance to Sequoia National Park from our front door.

While the house is not fragile, we do ask that you use common sense while staying here. That means, no wet swimsuits on the furniture, take your shoes off when you're upstairs, and be gentle with all of the historic items throughout the house- they are here for your enjoyment and we want to keep them around for future generations as well. Our kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you would need to cook a large meal. We have a spacious refrigerator and a commercial ice maker at the back porch.
