- "I would give the Imperial Hotel and its staff 10 stars if I could. It is true that it is in a perfect location, the rooms are beautiful and well-appointed and the hotel, overall, is just majestic. For me, however, it was the compassionate care that the staff showed me. Due to a sudden illness of my father, I had to leave Ireland immediately, and the front desk - both day and evening - did everything they could to ensure that I left Cork safely, off to Dublin and then back to NYC as soon as I could and they took care of me, while I grieved. They also refunded my last night, even though I had paid in full - the care they showed me is more than anything I could have asked for and I will be only staying at The Imperial when in Cork. I hope to go back and thank the front desk in person. Thank you to you all - I am so grateful."

Had dinner in The Grill Room, food was very good , presentation excellent and staff attentive but not overbearing - Just as it should be in a good restaurant. Room was large and had everything you could want/need. Plenty of towels, lots of lovely high quality (The White Company) toiletries, hairdryer, tea/coffee, safe and the largest TV I’ve ever seen in a hotel bedroom. Beds super comfy too. Check out easy and staff happy to order a taxi for us to the airport which turned up within minutes and also provided us with a free eco friendly carton of water each for the journey. Highly recommend The River Lee and will definitely stay there again."

- "The Kingsley is now going to be our go to hotel when staying in Cork City. It is such a beautiful hotel from the moment you walk through the main entrance all the way to the guest rooms. We checked-in late in the evening and the young woman at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a "King Room" which was nicer than most high end five star hotels we've stayed in. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we've ever had. The room had full air conditioning, a dining table, separate small office area with a work desk, the most beautiful bathroom with full bath, twin sinks and a very nice shower. The bathroom also had complimentary Rituals shower gels, soaps, shampoos etc. Also in the room were a proper hairdryer, iron & ironing board, coffee maker, tea kettle, robes and slippers and a really fantastic TV with access to a secured private chromecast system so you can use your own favourite streaming services on the big screen if you wish or need to keep little ones entertained. To top off the guest experience the room also has the most fantastic "Virtual Concierge" system via a tablet device. On this you are able to order room service, dinner reservations check out hotel amenities etc and it was just a revelation to use. No more waiting on busy phones to be answered or searching through inch think binders looking for a hotel service. The space
The shepherd hut is a warm one room wooden building. It is based on the old movable huts that shepherds used during the lambing season to stay in the meadow with their sheep. Somewhat more luxurious, this lovely stylish off grid hut is built with eco materials and sustainability at its heart. It was hand built by the family on this farm, using much of their own wood and insulated with their own sheep wool. The lovely interior utilises, many upcycled pieces and hand built furniture. It has a comfy standard double bed, a thoughtfully designed cooking area with a gas stove, sink and fresh running spring water. A wood burning stove with a complimentary supply of kindling and firewood.

The hut has a separate cabin in the garden area, with a snazy composting loo and a gas powered shower with piping hot spring water, gravity fed from the mountain. lighting for both the hut and cabin is provided by LED lights and lanterns. As it is 'off grid' there is no electricity or wifi, however most network's have good reception typically 4/5G. A recharging power charger is available in the hut to charge your phones, laptop etc.

The hut has a lovely private garden area with private hot tub, seating area and fire pit a small woodland area and lawn with views overlooking the meadow.
