- "Even before we arrived we had had a phone call from Susan regarding arrival time, how to find property, etc. Susan went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ensure every single thing had been taken care of. The tea and homemade lemon drizzle, my husbands favourite, offered to us on arrival was such a lovely gesture. The house is in a beautiful setting and is spotlessly clean and so comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for Susan and the breakfast was fantastic, she even went to the trouble of getting Clonakilty sausages for the second morning as we had said they were our favourite. Bright, cozy garden chalet set in the heart of West Cork. Walking distance to the golf course and within 3km of Skibbereen centre. The fishing village of Baltimore with its many fine restaurants and the European heritage centre of Loch Hyne just minutes away.

The space
The chalet is a self contained unit and has been finished to a very high standard. We have provided as many of the comforts of home as possible. As well as TV and internet, we have provided music, books as well as information on local attractions for your interest. The kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment you may need. There are some basic food supplies provided for each of our guest visits as a welcome package including fresh bread, milk, local organic farm eggs, fruit and chocolate. The food cupboard is well stocked with some basics “just in case!”
The washing machine is built in to the kitchen and if you need drying there is a clothes line in the garden or you may use the dryer in the main house (small fee).
Although we advertise for two people only, we can accommodate infants (under 2 years old at no extra charge) and up to 2 children (2-12 years old at a small extra fee)
In the main living area is a sofa bed which is of high quality and very comfortable. Bedding for this is within easy access in a blanket chest.
There is a separate bathroom in the Chalet with a step in shower and hot water on demand. We provide fresh towels for your convenience as well as soap and shampoo.
The main bedroom has a large double bed with wardrobe and drawers. The bedroom is completely separate and has French doors with a beautiful view beyond.
There are views from both sides of the chalet overlooking the garden to the south and hills beyond, as well as the tranquility of miles of unspoilt farmland to the north. If you just want to get away from it all for a little peace and quiet, but be close to the bustling market town of Skibbereen, the chalet at Coolmoreen Cottage has it all to offer

The chalet at Coolmoreen Cottage backs onto a very spacious garden. Guests are most welcome to access the garden and weather permitting relax in one of one of our sun chairs. Children are most welcome to play in the garden. We even have a swings and some garden toys. There is also a BBQ which guests may use for their convenience at any time. We have provided an outside table and chairs for comfort. Parking is free and accessible and guests even have their own designated space.

Our cabin is a great place to stay. It is newly decorated, bright and airy in a picturesque setting with lovely views and a great location. Kinsale is "the jewel of Ireland" offering everything you would want in a holiday from fab restaurants to great beaches and fun filled activities.

The Cabin is a lovely space, newly decorated to complement its seaside setting. It has a spacious living/dining area with an outside deck and sea views. The master bed also enjoys a great aspect, allowing you look over the boat masts of the nearby boat yard to the sea and rolling hills of the surrounding countryside, all from your bed. There is a sweet and well appointed bunk bed room, a shower room with lashings of hot water and a well equipped kitchenette for those who like to cook. There is also a large comfortable sofa bed in the living area which allows for 2 more guest. This accommodation is ideal for 4 people but 6 are welcome, if you don't mind a bit of a tight squeeze!

Directly from the Cabin you have access to some lovely walking. There is a great circular coastal walk which goes right past our front door. We are a 15/20 minute walk to the local pub, the award winning Bulman, or a 3 minute drive. There is a nice little pebbly beach at Lower Cove that is a couple of minutes away (again easy to reach by foot) and the historical Charles Fort is just up the road. Our cabin is a 5/10 minute drive from the centre of Kinsale which offers fab food, great little shops and interesting galleries, all in the lovely setting of the active port side town.

Heir Island is one of Ireland's smallest inhabited islands. The island boasts with beauty, with a plethora of beaches, water sports, day trips and our own jagged coastline where you can take in the best of the Wild Atlantic.

The island is only accessible by boat or ferry, cost is €6 return for adults and the ferry runs every 2 hours in the summer from Cunnamore Pier.
