Our Cabin and Lodge is located on the Property of Camp Winston a non profit camp for Neurodiverse children. By staying with us you are contributing to our ongoing ability to provide an incredible experience for our campers. We have the Cabin with three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, as well as the Lodge with 5 bunkbed rooms and 2 large Bathrooms on the main floor, a Games room, Kitchen and Living/Dining room, all contained in one building. The hot tub is steps away from the cabin with a great view of the lake. Any other question feel free to ask

Guest access
The Cabin/Lodge is off to the side of the property and has a great view of the lake from the cabin and hot tub. We would ask you stay in that designated area of the camp and refrain from exploring the main camp for safety reasons. Feel free to hike the private road as it provides a tranquil feeling of being surrounded by the trees and rock of Muskoka. We also ask you to stay away from the lake in the winter months as we are located next to the mouth of the river and the ice is not safe. If you are bringing snowmobiles it's a short ride to Franklin Park with easy access to the lake.

NO PARTIES OR EVENTS:
There are noise monitors installed in the property at the back deck patio area. The noise monitors do NOT record conversations. It only monitors audio level on the property. Noise complaints resulting from guests violating the excessive noise bylaws will be fined $1500.

There is also an outdoor security camera at the front of the property.

GARBAGE:
Guests can use the animal proof bin at the front of the cottage near the main door. At the end of the stay, guests are required to take their garbage with them upon departure. There's a waste disposal site called Beiers Road Landfill Site that's only a 15-minute drive away, and on-route to the GTA. Failure to do so will result in a charge of $100 per bag.

WATER SAFETY:
- This is a waterfront property, so guests are responsible for ensuring water safety. Children should always be supervised as the water can be deep.

- The hottub may not be suitable for those with certain health risks such as high blood pressure, heart conditions and skin sensitivity. Please enjoy the hottub at your own risk and ensure to follow the instructions provided.

Guest can use kayaks, Hydrobike or any other water equipment at their own risk.

SEPTIC SYSTEM:
The property uses a fragile septic tank system. Please DO NOT flush anything other than small amounts of toilet papers. If it's determined that a septic tank failure was caused by guest negligence, a charge of $1500 will be applied for the repairs of the system.

There’s something about enjoying an idyllic lakefront cottage experience yet being only 15 minutes from a vibrant waterside town that makes a vacation memorable. This luxury cottage rental offers all that and more.

The first and largest of a four-lake chain surrounding the town of Huntsville, Lake Vernon is renowned for great boating, fishing and watersports.

The space
Bring your boat and motor into town for an ice cream or to enjoy the Wednesday concert on the dock, or just paddle around the bay in the kayaks – the sparkling water awaits!

The garden slopes from the cottage down to the water and the large dock which is ideal for sitting out with a coffee in the morning or an aperitif at sunset. There’s a firepit for sitting out under the stars and plenty of lawn for just taking in the view.

The cottage has lots of space for two families sharing with two bedrooms on each floor. The main level has a living and dining area with gorgeous views, comfortable furniture and sliding doors to the deck – and a propane stove for the cooler evenings.

Downstairs you’ll find a family room with TV, table tennis and darts and board games with sliding doors to the lakefront.

Rounding out this super cottage rental package is a large screened sunroom and deck with barbecue.

While you may just want to stay around the cottage, dock and water most of your time, there’s plenty to do in the area. Huntsville is a great town with brew pubs, waterside restaurants, bakeries, and a great farmers' market on a Thursday morning (a 10 minute drive away). Take a drive out to Arrowhead Provincial Park and get some hiking in, or to Algonquin for a day of canoeing. Visit the pretty village of Rosseau on market day and have lunch in one of the great local restaurants.

The hot tub is a highlight year round! The campfire is overlooking the water's edge with 9 Muskoka chairs and is a beautiful spot to relax. We also have an electric fireplace on the upper deck for your morning coffee or cozy night drinks overlooking the lake. We even supply towels/beach towels for all.

The cottage has stunning views, with various natural light windows, a fireplace for cooler nights, and 4 generously sized bedrooms with comfortable mattresses and white bedding throughout. There is a Queen sized self-inflating blow up mattress on property and extra pull out bed-couch, with 4 large couches for extra guests. Situated on the largest of the smaller lakes (3 Mile Lake) in the hub of Muskoka, located 20 minutes to both Port Carling & Bracebridge. This vacation Muskoka paradise is the perfect spot to paddle-board, fish, kayak, swim, relax, have some laughs on the dock.. making some Muskoka memories and traditions. The swimming is spectacular, with a sandy beach with shallow entry leading to deeper water; perfect for small children. We are located on the deepest part of the lake, ideal for fishing off the end of the dock. Boats can be tied to our dock as well.

This entire cottage is for guest use. A digital access code will be given to you upon entry. We are the last cottage on our street, assuring peacefulness and privacy. The water toys are operational in the warmer months and the hot tub & electric upper deck fireplace is operational year round.

We kindly ask all guests take their garbage and recycling with them as there is no garbage pick up at the lake in the winter months (October to February).
