Welcome to this lovely 3 bedroom 2 bath brick row house located in a quiet neighborhood in one of the best locations in the North Shore area. The house is fully appointed with all the modern amenities, blending historic charm with contemporary comfort. Enjoy spacious living areas, a well-equipped kitchen, and beautifully preserved architectural details.

This beautiful 100 plus years old charmer has been renovated for modern conveniences. It still has some of that 100 year old charm and by this I mean the upstairs steps which can creak and are on the steeper side. This house is not wheelchair or handicap accessible. The upstairs full bath is accessed through the upstairs bedroom. First floor bedroom has a queen bed and a work space. Other two bedrooms, a King and queen bed each, are on the second level. The lower floor has a hangout area with TV and beverage center as well as full bath with shower. The lower level has a low clearance, so be careful until you acclimate to the lower clearance. Laundry room is located in the lower level. This prime location offers a short walk to local pubs, restaurants, and stadiums, making it perfect for those who appreciate both tranquility and convenience.

House is accessed through back side door where you will find the electronic key pad.

Other things to note:
3 day parking permit for street parking will be issued for one vehicle before arrival by providing vehicle information to the host prior to your arrival. The permit will be an electronic permit. Other street parking is available at the end of the street without needing a permit. The parking authority is very strict about this, especially on game days or when events are being held at the local stadiums.

There a 2 ring cameras on the outside premises, one at each door for your and the properties security.

My kids are averse, so we drove, but parking is relatively cheap (we parked at the aviary and walked the 2 blocks to the children's museum... $5 gets you parking all day). My only other advice would be to avoid the Giant Eagle on the other side of the Children's Museum... I went in, just to buy some coffee creamer and a couple other items and there were six registers open and each was about 5 carts deep with no self-checkout options, so i turned around and left. But, no complaints about the home itself and the agents were extremely responsive."

Our spacious two-bedroom apartment is located in Allegheny West, on Pittsburgh's Northside.

Officially the smallest neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Allegheny West is home to 19th century architecture characteristic of the gilded industrial era.

Originally named Allegheny City, the neighborhood was considered the gold coast of the region, and stood among the wealthiest in the world before annexation by Pittsburgh in 1907.

Built in the 1870s, our townhouse is part of a historic row house district. Many of the original floor beams, as well as exposed brick, were preserved during the renovation.

Ceilings were restored to their 12 foot height throughout the living room and kitchen, while lofted ceilings were constructed in the bedrooms.

The neighborhood is home to a mix of eclectic businesses and historic sites, including a local bookstore, bars, an excellent Thai restaurant, Peppi's legendary cheese steaks ("home of the RoethlisBurger"), the Jones Mansion, and the birthplace of writer and poet Gertrude Stein on Beech Street.

Nearby is Allegheny Commons, a beautiful and peaceful city park. We hope you enjoy the setting as much as we do!

Guest Access: our second floor apartment is accessible through the rear door of the building (private entrance). Keypad code is provided upon booking for convenient access.

Free guest parking permit is included in rental (for parking on back street, Beech St). Plus, inexpensive metered street parking is available in front (on Western Ave, the street in front of our building).

Our free parking permit works great for Steelers game day, Pirates games, and stadium events (including concerts). We are located within a short walking distance of stadiums— so close that the parking lot across the street is used for fans and charges $45-65 to park on game day, making the free parking parking pass that is included in this rental a huge plus!

Getting Around: Our apartment is centrally located within walking distance to bus and light-rail lines, as well as a city-sponsored bike rental station (1 block from our place).

The apartment is conveniently located less than a half mile to Heinz Field, Rivers Casino, Stage AE, and other venues.

Enjoy our cozy space, two mounted Roku Tvs, and fully stocked kitchen (with kitchen supplies, coffee, not food). Get comfy living room or bedroom and watch your favorite Netflix shows! The Internet is provided and secure. This space could be an overnight stay or for an extended stay. Truly appreciate and enjoy the overall best Pittsburgh stay!

The Neighborhood:
It is a short walk to coffee shops and food. The Park is at the end of our block! The stadiums (a half a mile away), less than a mile walk or bike ride to downtown. It is close to PNC Park, Heinz Field, Andy Warhol Museum, the Three Rivers Casino, National Aviary, plenty top-notch restaurants and much more! Very centrally located.

Getting Around:
The T (our subway system to downtown) is right by us, less than a half-mile! I recommend uber since it is available 24/7.

There are scooter and bike rentals around the corner as well for easy transportation. Bus stops nearby as well.

Other Things to Note:
PARKING: To get a Pittsburgh Parking Authority Visitors Pass, there is a 15 dollar processing fee that is good for your entire stay. It comes with One on street parking pass out front (we will need the cars details), then there is additional free on parking, first come first served as shown/highlighted in the the listing photos. - "On the positive side, the neighborhood is quiet, and the street is pleasant and relatively attractive. The building in which this apartment is located is handsome and relatively well-kept, as far as we could see, except for a shattered window and broken window frame outside this unit's kitchen window. Communication with the owners by email and text is fairly easy, except I am still waiting for a promised refund for 2 nights out of our 3. I am considering requesting a refund for all 3 nights, because the apartment was so filthy and disgusting. When we entered the apartment, the first thing we noted was the smell of grease/fried food. Opening windows and turning on the stovetop fan did nothing to get rid of it. It permeated the entire apartment. Then we noticed the floors were greasy, oily, and sticky. We purchased a Swiffer at the closest Rite Aid. I used 7-8 wet pads and what each of them looked like after mopping was disgusting. My Swiffering helped, but they still were not spotless -- clearly they'd not been well-cleaned in a long time. The kitchen was sticky and dirty. Little hairs were stuck on to baseboards, cabinets, and many other surfaces. The kitchen was barely stocked. It was virtually impossible to cook anything. The dish drainer for clean dishes had hair in it. Then I opened the dishwasher and it was backed up with rancid and mildewy water. The smell was overpowering and the dirty water began to leak all over the kitchen floor. We used towels and most of a roll of paper towels to try to stop the water flow, but it was still seeping out the next morning. (Thankfully we brought our own roll of paper towels.) The bathroom wasn't too bad, but there was a stain that looked like bodily fluid on the mattress. I kept waking up during the night smelling the greasy/fried smell. In short, the apartment clearly had not been deep-cleaned in a very long time. We checked out the next morning and were promised a refund for the next 2 nights, though I have yet to receive it. They did reach back out to tell me the dishwasher had been repaired. Hopefully the also restocked detergent pods, because there were none in stock. I plan to file another complaint with VRBO. Unless someone is desperate or doesn't care if a place is clean, I would avoid this property."

“The Penthouse,” our newest addition to our Airbnb collection. The highlights of this loft are a skyline view of downtown Pittsburgh, a kitchen that would delight even the most serious of cooks, gorgeous original artworks and a industrial glam vibe! The loft has a recycle reuse feel with a antique wooden diving board as a countertop. The space is located inside a warehouse that use to manufacture flashlights. Near a historic district with easy access to the stadiums, casino, and five museums.

There is a fabulous park a block from the building with wonderful walking thru the park and beautiful neighborhoods. If you dream of loft living it doesn’t get any better than this!
