3. Note, we do have a security camera at the home and it is recording 24/7, 365 days a year. It is facing the exterior of the home. There are no cameras inside the home.

4. Quiet hours for the property are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Please keep the noise levels down over this time.

For all you hunting enthusiast, the cabin is located within walking distance to 1700 acres of Sproul State Forest. A nice walking trail into the heart of this land makes it easy access for all ages. The Pine Creek is an easy 15 minute drive for a great fishing experience.

Dancing Bear Lodge was created as a place for healing and renewal. Whether you are traveling through Central Pennsylvania, or plan to stay her for a while, you will feel embraced by the beauty of this place. From the hand planed cherry flooring to the original art that adorns the walls, you will feel the resonance of natural materials crafted with love.

Dancing Bear Lodge is on the edge of the Pennsylvania Wilds just a few miles from Interstate 80 making it easy to find. The Pennsylvania Wilds offer a large expanse of forested ridges and valleys, where you can flush a flock of wild turkeys or be startled by a deer snorting at you. Trails abound nearby inviting you to soak in the peaceful sounds of mountain streams or whispering wind.

Nearby communities including Lewisburg, Lock Haven, Millheim and Williamsport have entertainment to offer including live music, micro-breweries, wineries, theater and cinema. State College, home of the Nittany Lions is about 45 minutes from the lodge.

Dancing Bear Lodge is located in a high mountain valley with a significant population of old-order Amish who sell crafts, furnishings and produce and are willing to host you for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is about six miles from two State Parks, R.B.Winter and Ravensburg. R.B. Winter has a small lake where you can swim or paddle. Both parks have well marked trails and fishing in season.

The first floor of the lodge includes a spacious great room which has tables and chairs for as many as 16 people if you want to throw a party or serve a Holiday feast. There are two main sitting areas: one with a couch, a double futon, a rocking chair and two wing back chairs, the second sitting area faces a glass fronted wood stove and includes a sofa and two chairs. A TV with a DVD player is placed in the area with the most seating.

The kitchen adjoins the great room and faces the back porch and deck. There is a bar with seating between the great room and the kitchen. The back porch, accessible from the kitchen through French doors, has a futon and two Adirondack chairs. It adjoins a large partly shaded deck with a full size picnic table. There is a handi-capped accessible ramp from the deck to the ground.

Both of the sleeping lofts at Dancing Bear Lodge have queen sized beds. One of the lofts has a half-bath on suite. There is an additional half bath and a handicap accessible bathroom with a shower on the first floor. To enhance privacy, each loft is furnished with multiple soshi screens. A queen sofa bed and a double futon are available on the first floor. There are two additional single futon mattresses and a folding cot that can be used for children or additional guests.

If you are planning a larger family gathering, or are traveling with someone who snores, ask the owner about other nearby accomodations.

While the owner would rather you be gazing at the stars from the back deck, she has provided WiFi for guests who feel compelled to stay in touch with the rest of the world. There is also a DVD player, a smart TV, and DishNetwork.

Dancing Bear Lodge can be a great base camp for your outdoor adventures in Central PA. If you are reasonably fit, the neighboring Bald Eagle State Forest is a great place to hike, mountain bike or cross country ski in season. The West Branch of the Susquehanna River is nearby if you prefer to paddle. Stocked and unstocked trout streams abound in the area if casting a line in a pristine brook catches your fancy.

If you would like to learn more about nature the owner is available to take you on a guided bird or wildflower walk. She is also a avid gardener and would be happy to share whatever is growing in the vegetable, herb or flower gardens.

Our rustic cabin is nestled in the town of Waterville within walking distance to everything the town has to offer. The cabin is bordered by the stocked trout waters of the Little Pine Creek in the back and the beautiful Pine Creek Rail Trail on the side. Views of both the creek and the rail trail bridge are enjoyed from the back deck. We provide propane, a gas grill, a gas Blackstone griddle, and a stocked pile of firewood to enjoy the fire pit in the backyard. 6 Adirondack chairs are available for use on the deck, around the fire, or sitting by (or in!) the creek.

Fishing, kayaking, and tubing can be enjoyed on the Little Pine, or you may take the short walk down the street and use the public easement to access the Pine Creek.

Walking from the cabin you can easily get to the Historic Waterville Hotel, McConnells General Store and the beautiful Waterville community park.

Little Pine State Park and the Haneyville ATV Trails are both just a short drive from Waterville, as well as the numerous access points along the Pine Creek for fishing, kayaking & tubing.

This cabin is rustic in feel however it does have running water as well as a full bathroom. We also provide reliable high speed internet and a streaming TV complete with a Youtube TV subscription in the living room. You will also enjoy the peace of mind provided by our automatic whole-house generator for any power outages.

The location of the cabin is also great for attending Penn State home games if you're looking for an affordable stay outside of state college. Beaver Stadium is 55 miles away and easily accessed by Route 220/I-80. We are happy to help with any Penn State questions regarding tickets, parking, tailgating etc!

Cell phone service varies depending on carrier and is very spotty. The convenient location of the property also means that it is close to Route 44, so if vehicle noise is a problem for you please be aware of that.

Security cameras are located outside the house due to the remote nature of the location. They will not be monitored unless there is an issue.

Hop down the stairs to the creek and take a dip in the swimming hole, or try your hand at fishing or catching crayfish. Feeling less adventurous? One of our favorite past times is simply pulling up a chair and watching people cruise down the creek each day in their kayaks. When dinner time rolls around, sip a cocktail and prepare dinner in the kitchen, or grill some steaks on our gas grill. Eat right outside at the picnic table, enjoying the priceless view. Don't feel like cooking? Try out some of the delicious local eateries, including our favorite--Santino's Italian Cuisine, located a short walk up the driveway. Take advantage of our 1-acre property in the evening by playing some of the many lawn games available at the cabin, including cornhole and ladder golf. When evening rolls around, it's time to get the campfire going, and pull up a chair around the fire pit. We provide the firewood, and have plenty of equipment for making smores, mountain pies, or roasting weenies. Stargazing is also a highlight, and if the sky is clear, you will be certain to spot some shooting stars. The evening is the perfect time to enjoy a beer and conversation while looking down over the creek and roasting a s'mores. After a busy day, the perfect ending is dozing off with the mountain breeze coming through the windows, and the sound of the babbling creek below. On a rainy day, take some time to check out the books and board games around the house, or journey to one of the neighboring towns to do some wine tasting or to explore the world-renowned Little League World Series Museum in South Williamsport. **Our cabin was purchased as a retreat to enjoy time with family and friends, and to slow down and unwind. Good communication and nice on the phone. The inside of the actual unit was clean with a modern vibe. There was a minor issue with check in but it was the real estate agent style lock and not the owner. She corrected it really quick. The tiny little AC unit had no chance of cooling the unit in August. The unit has 3 original 6'x8' windows with sheer curtains. The AC unit ran the entire time I was there and the lowest the temp got was 77 degrees and that was in the middle of the night or early morning. Most of the time the temps in the room were in the 80s. The room is fully lit with sunlight the second the sun rises. The shower 'area' has no seat nor shelving. There is body gel, shampoo, and conditioner provided but for the ladies that want a seat to shave their legs or a shelf to place their own products, no luck. The parking lot does have countless potholes so drive carefully. As you can see from the pictures, the building is a former factory with little to no work/renovation being done on the outside. I saw the pictures and knew what to expect in that regard when I arrived. However, I was not aware the ground floor where you enter is essentially a former storage area that has never been cleaned out. Also, there are multiple businesses in the building including the 3rd floor. This includes a massage business that is open until 10pm. The smell of weed was pretty prevalent in the evening. Didn't really bother me but noting it for others. The morning of checkout I took my suit case out to my car and attempted to go back in to get my remaining items only to find out that I was locked out of the building. Luckily a full time tenant walked out behind me and she also got locked out. Apparently if the latch gets flipped it will lock the door and the there is no key to the outside door included on the key ring provided by the owner. The full time tenant was able to call her daughter and have her bring over a key to the outside door to get us back inside. There was also a barking dog down the hall one morning but that did not start until about 8am. Querida is great and this is probably a good fit for the younger crowd but I would not stay there again."

The property is located in the village of English Center, along Little Pine Creek. This 120 yr old stone house sits along approx. 300 yards of creek frontage and includes 3+ acres. The home has been completely renovated and is extremely clean. However, because it's age, it does have uneven floors and other characters of 100+ yr old property. It includes a massive yard and lots of area to play games and activities. Plus, there is an area to enjoy evenings around the large fire pit. With this house being located along the creek, you will have instant access to fishing, floating, kayaking, swimming, and relaxing. Because the home is located near other properties in this quiet village, we do prohibit parties and loud music at the property. Additionally, we ask all guest to respect quiet hours after 11pm.
