We both loved our time there and look forward to booking this xabin again in the future." - "Cute little cabin close to Cherry Springs state park. About a 15 minutes drive to the star gazing area with several pull offs to see the views of the mountains." - "The bed was very comfortable, location easy to find, the kitchen large, the location close to hiking and stargazing. The cabin was clean and had a nice backyard with deck. Very clean. There was an A/C unit which was helpful. Could use a few more drinking glasses and ice cube trays, but other than those small things, I highly recommend staying here."

- "Wish we had more than just the weekend to explore the area. So much to do close by that we didnt have time for. But our daughter got a wonderful picture of the milkyway taken from the platform in the field, so she was thrilled. The cabin was nice. Would stay again." - "Great location for ATV’ing. House was clean and spacious." - "Fun hikes, friendly (though very few) people and a beautiful peaceful setting. We were a little bummed to not get to stay in the original house we booked, with an observation tower (we were switched to the owners farmhouse because the original property needed repairs), but with smoke from Canadian fires and nearly full moons (novice stargazer here) it was very hard to stargaze anyways. My kids especially enjoyed the backyard fire pit and making s’mores. Remember to bring towels for all different purposes: we remembered bath towels but forgot dish towels, small towels to dry our hands in the bathrooms and washcloths. Woops! In any case, we had a great stay!!"

A "Little Bit" of God's Country is a small one floor cabin that is ideal for one person or a couple. The cabin is a one bedroom featuring a queen size bed. We named our cabin A "Little Bit" of God's Country because we want to share just a little bit on the glorious mountain that our little cabin sits on. We have enjoyed coming to the mountains to get away for over 30 years and made so many amazing memories. I hope your experience is just as amazing. The cabin is located 100 feet from the ATV and snowmobile trails, the Pennsylvania Rail Trail, near hiking trails, and a short drive from many state parks. There are many great eating establishments close by. We offer an well equipped kitchen or the opportunity to cook over an open fire.
- "This a great little play very inviting. The cabin was very clean and had most everything you would need. If your coming here for peace and quiet it's not for you. The only downfall was it was just off of a 2 lane road which was very noisy over the weekend. There's an ATV trail real close to cabin so you had the noise from the ATV's plus the vehicle noise. Overall it was a very nice place to stay. Thank you!" - "The Little Bit cabin was absolutely perfect. Lovely location, well maintained, & stocked with everything needed for a "just like home" stay. We were very pleased with our accommodations and would recommend it to anyone looking for a private setting for their vacation stay. The Mountain Top Provisions Restaurant just down the road is an excellent eatery too!"

She even left us a gift to add to our enjoyment. The place is always clean and there is always some firewood for us to use. It is so quiet and peaceful. Such a beautiful place to go to get away from the Hussle and bussle." - "Excellent communication with the host prior to our stay. Everything was as listed. - "The owners took an old building in an old town in a beautiful area and turned it into a place you want to move into immediately. Their attention to detail and guests' comfort was amazing. Everything was fully outfitted and the color palette was soothing. This is not a place that was quickly thrown together as a rental. The owners took great care to make sure their guests comfort was in the forefront of their minds. I could go on and on...but I will DEFINITELY stay their again."

- "WOW was this place wonderful. Words can’t explain this place. Overall the place was amazing. The house has everything you need and then some. The view off the deck is breathtaking. The fireplace outside is great for a fire and to count stars at night. The trails on the property were mine and my dog’s favorite My family will definitely be back. Thank You Terry for everything." - "The homeowner, Terry, is very pleasant and genuinely enjoys being a host. Prior to the trip, he provided excellent information about the local area and detailed directions to the cabin for the best route to travel. He even worked out a military discount for us since my husband and I are both veterans. The well-stocked cabin is situated in a beautiful private wooded area surrounded by deer and other wildlife. Terry had lots of indoor activities available for the times we were stuck in the cabin on rainy days and there were plenty of large rooms to spread out when we needed space. The new HVAC system heated the cabin nicely since it was still cool in early May, to us Floridians. This would definitely be an ideal location for a relaxing getaway when the weather is perfect for sitting outside on one of the covered porches enjoying a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate. There was a fireplace outside that would have been perfect for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. The timing and purpose of our trip was not for a vacation, unfortunately, but why not be comfortable while fulfilling a family obligation? Thank you, Terry, for allowing us to stay in your lovely cabin!"

I was a bit uncomfortable with the living room furniture. My buddy and i had no idea how to get the morning news on tv. My son figured it out on the second day. A bit primitive with a porta John and no running water but hey... that's camping! The property is beautiful and spacious. We were there for the Kettle Creek music festival (which was very enjoyable), hauled our Harley in and got a ride in to the Grand Canyon, beautiful scenery. We put quite a few things on our to do list for our next stay at this Sweet Ham Camp. Thank you Cherie, it was a pleasure meeting you at the festival and staying at your camp."

The owners were great as well and extremely organized and dedicated to their customer- they even mowed the golf courses again at 7 am just to make sure it was perfect before my group started playing. I cannot recommend this place enough! Also, cute little town nearby with everything you need (big Walmart in town). Rent this place, you won’t regret it!"

Vintage canned ham.. 1970 Fan Style Liner (Fannie). Step back in time and visit the almost original Fannie she sits on 2 acres ,where the Susquehanna river and Kettle Creek meet. There is a restaurant within walking distance, great food. Bush dam and Kettle Creek park are about 10 miles with alot of walking trails and atv whiskey springs trail about 1 mile and Hyner Park lookout where gliders launch and walking trails to get back to nature. Cherry Springs is approximately 25 miles . If you hit some of the off roads you maybe see some elk(maps in Fannie) or just hang out at camp and you may see one... Take a day to relax by the fire or go fishing, kayaking, tubing, swimming or wading in the water the river and creek are just a short walk down the property line to a wide path. There are some other camps close by so if people are around please respect the neighbors. THERE IS A OUTHOUSE along with hot water shower with a small changing area. (checkout the photos).. just cleaned up a old Farmhouse now the yard is even bigger. My listing is also on other platforms where you can check my reviews from previous guests. I blocked this listing for almost a year as there was a issue with it not showing up in searches but now it has been fixed.. so bring your clothes and food and stay, ALMOST everything else provided plus more not mentioned in listing.. I have tubes for floating in the creek or river and kayaks for use for no extra charge, let me know so I can get them out and ready for you.. I have done improvements over the last year and more to come.. I hope you decide to come and stay and make some great memories... please feel free to contact me with any questions..
- "this camper is cute, clean, affordable, and we had all the privacy while we were here. This was all we needed as a base camp to explore the area, kettle creek state park is not far at all, and they rent kayaks, there are dark skies around, the town is okay and safe, but the property is anyways a bit cut-off from it. The host also had some board games, firewood, kitchen stuff etc. the property had great reviews on other websites. All in all - my 5 stars on everything"

The next night we saw the Milky Way from a pull off 3.5 miles from the cabin.the view from the cabin was great too but the Milky Way was a little hidden. SPECTACULAR!!!! A quaint and cozy secluded cabin for two! The Doll House offers it’s guests a “wilderness” setting in a chestnut log rustic cabin that was built in the 1800’s. It is a romantic, charming, cozy cabin situated on over 200 acres of mountain woodland. Features a 9 hole executive golf course and a 1/2 mile asphalt runway for guests that prefer to arrive by plane. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings while sitting by a campfire on a lighted patio, kayak on the pond or gaze at the amazing stars on a clear dark night with no light pollution. Plenty to see and do – the cabin is also located near “Pine Creek Valley” which offers canoeing, rafting and 75 miles of bicycle rails-to-trails. The cabin is also close to ATV and snowmobile trails.

-Comfortable beds with Organic bedding
-Fully stocked kitchen with French Press, Drip Coffee Pot and Hot Water Kettle
-Covered deck with Blackstone Griddle, lounge seating and outdoor dining
-55” Roku TV & Starlink Internet & DVD player with movies
-5 miles to Pine Creek Trail access in Waterville
My husband and I grew up coming to this area of Pennsylvania and have fallen in love with the beauty of the outdoors that this area boasts. Our family loves kayaking, tubing, canoeing and fishing the Pine Creek, walking and biking on the 62 mile Pine Creek Trail, visiting McConnell’s Country Store for soft serve ice cream, subs and sandwiches, t-shirts and fishing tackle, going to the Mountaintop Provisions for the meal with the best smoked meat around and more. There is so much to do to fill your time in this area, but it is also the perfect place to sit back, unwind and relax if you need some time to slow down. Most of the folks who live in this area, live here because of the peaceful beauty of the outdoors and for the privacy of being away from people. Please respect our neighbors desire for privacy and avoid trespassing onto their land.
The best time for boating / kayaking the pine creek is March - May. Water levels tend to be lower in the summer making it more difficult to float.
This stylish 2 bedroom getaway has been fully renovated and professionally decorated. We took an old trailer and transformed it into a cozy stay near the Pine Creek Gorge, one of our favorite areas to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Just 20 miles north of Lock Haven, this location is a peaceful retreat with an unforgettable view. During your stay, there is a high chance of encountering wildlife of some kind when sitting on the covered back deck.
With nearby access to ATV and Snowmobile trails, the Pine Creek Gorge and Pine Creek Trail you’ll have plenty of options for activities no matter what season you choose. While we love the area and the activities available, we can also appreciate a quiet weekend in without the need to go on any adventures. This is why we’ve fully stocked the cabin with plenty of games, books, a 55” Roku TV with a DVD player and tons of classic movies, Starlink Internet access, a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of comfortable seating.
The bedrooms are on either end of the cabin with the living room, dining room and kitchen in the center. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking & dining, including plenty of coffee mugs to enjoy your morning cup of coffee out on the covered deck or inside on the couch watching the snow fall over the mountain.
Between both living room areas, there are three couches, providing plenty of options for where to sit to enjoy a cup of tea and read a book, or to watch old movies all weekend. One of the couches is a Koala Queen Sofa Bed that unfolds and can sleep two. This is a perfect bed for kids!
Both of the bedrooms have comfortable beds with Organic bedding from Quince and Threshold - because we sincerely believe that even a cabin in the middle of nowhere should have good bedding.
There are two full baths, one in the hallway off the living room and one en suite off of the master bedroom. The hallway bathroom has a tub/shower combo and the master bathroom has a handicap accessible shower.
There are two sliding glass doors in the main living area leading out onto a covered deck with lounge seating and an outdoor dining table. There is a Blackstone Griddle for outdoor cooking. The deck overlooks a beautiful view of the mountain.
Cell Service can be limited depending on your carrier. - please plan accordingly for your navigation to the cabin. We do have WiFi at the cabin. We are able to stream with the WiFi, but it occasionally cuts in and out - a reality of WiFi in the woods. While there is a wood stove in the living room, we unfortunately do not allow guests to use it for liability reasons. However, we have a fire pit area outside which is perfect for campfires and s’mores!
Please note that this house is surrounded by woods and nature, which means that bugs are very normal and in most cases harmless. We work hard to keep the cabin clean, but we would be naive to think that bugs won't make it inside with people coming and going throughout their stay. Keeping the doors closed will help to keep the bugs out, but we want guests to understand that when you stay in the mountains surrounded by woods, bugs and wildlife are inevitable.

My cabin is close to Sproul and Susquehanna State Forest, Great Trout fishing at nearby Kettle Creek and Great Bass fishing Susquehanna River, Hyner View and Park, hour drive to Benezette, lots of hiking trails and fishing nearby. You’ll love my place because of Lots of space, with a great view of the valley and a creek running along the property that can be seen from the cabin. My place is good for families (with kids) and big groups. We are a family place, not a party place.
The space
This peaceful property is perfect for viewing nature and letting the hustle and bustle of life be forgotten
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cabin. This includes the kitchen great room, all bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, wrap around porch and the ten acres of property. Property has stream access, large meadow and wrap around porch.
Other things to note
There is no Wifi on site. I get limited access with my verizon phone. Don't plan on internet service at all. We have running water, hot water, and electric. There is no Air Conditioning.
I will email driving directions, but I suggest printing out a copy due to limited internet access.
I'm only looking to host others that have previous positive reviews from others. Its also expected that others will respect nature and take care of things.
This haven is the perfect place to watch beavers in the river or deer graze the yard. You might be lucky enough to see elk, bear, or a bald eagle soaring overhead. Float the river and stargaze with your closest friends at this home on the river. There are 3 kayaks, several tubes/floaties, and life vests, available for your wild, wet adventures. There are outdoor games including cornhole, frisbee golf, and bocce ball. The screened porch is perfect for your BBQ and evening games.
The space
The kitchen is fully stocked for your cooking needs. The dining table seats 4. The living area is a great place to catch up with family and friends or watch the game. The master bedroom is straight up the stairs and has a gorgeous river view and a queen bed. The second bedroom (to the left) has a queen bed. The third bedroom (to the right) has a single bed and a double bed. The futon in the office/play room can sleep one or two more in the case you need more sleeping space.

-Parking...please stay on the Cabin side of Davenport Road. Park from the left end of the Cabin towards the fire pit. The septic system is to the left and you can see the breath pipe exiting the ground. Any heavy weight could collapse the septic system.
- There are plenty of movies on the bookshelves for viewing. Please bring any you may want to view. There is a "RED BOX" down at the Dollar General.
- Bottled Drinking water and jugs of water for coffee maker... Cabin water is off a well can taste funny to us city folks. Fine to drink; probably safer that the water we normally drink but can have that well water smell.
- Bedding, sleeping bags, towels, toiletries, pillows are on the bed and blankets are in the dressers. No air conditioning but there are plenty of fans. Have Joe show you how to turn on the large ceiling fan above couches.
- High boots for walking and wading the streams...say out of the brush because of the ticks.

- Garbage....Large garbage bags are under the counter next to the sink. Use the trash can on the porch for over-flow. Let Joe know you have excessive garbage. Keep the garbage sealed tight and keep the lid tight on the porch garbage can. The Bears will come through the screens and get whatever they can smell and carry off ......They won't leave the way they came in so the screened porch will be in shambles as well as any gear you may have stored out there.
- Make sure you stay up late and have a fire and view the sky...the stars are amazing.
- You can reach the creek by walking straight back for the cabin...follow the orange streamers attached to the trees.
- There are fishing poles down in the basement. I would suggest that you get a license online before traveling. A short-term license if you're from out of state. You will also need some bait (worms, etc.) You can get worms at the hardware store in Renovo. Please don't use the fly rods on display in the Cabin.
