This lovely lakeside home features three bedrooms and sleeps seven comfortably. There is a large open living room overlooking the lake with a parlor propane stove in the corner and a dining area leading out to the upper deck. The spacious kitchen has a gas stove top, an electric oven, a microwave, a free-standing island, and is fully loaded with all the cooking equipment you'll need. The master bedroom on the first floor sports a king-sized bed and a direct entry to the upper deck. The master bath is newly-renovated, with a tub/shower combination. Upstairs are two more bedrooms containing two queen-size beds and a single, with another bathroom between them.

This home comes with air conditioning (yes, occasionally even desired in Maine!), cable, and wi-fi. The upper deck just outside the dining area connects to a lower deck, which is practically on the water. From there it's a few steps to the dock, where you can jump in or launch the two kayaks provided.

Many people think of a "pond" as being a small swimming hole. But Taylor Pond is a pristine Maine lake about a mile and a half long and three quarters of a mile wide. It's big enough for swimming, boating and fishing, but small enough to be not crowded with large motor boats or jet skis. Although you'll feel like you're "away from it all" here, you are only 10 minutes away from local shopping, cinema, golf and mini-golf. This location is perfect for a special family vacation from where you can explore many different attractions in Maine - from the coast to the mountains to the city. This is also a perfect spot for families visiting colleges, including Bates (10 minutes), Bowdoin (45 minutes) and Colby (1 hour). All 4 seasons are spectacular. For young families looking for a learn-to-ski vacation, Lost Valley Ski Resort is 5 minutes away. Sunday River and Sugarloaf are also accessible for the more serious skiers.
In the main house, there's a first floor master suite with huge walk-in closet, and it's own patio through sliding doors overlooking the lake. This room has a King size bed with Dream Cloud mattress and plenty of room for a blow up mattress or travel cot. On the second floor are two large bedrooms, both with Queen size beds and Green Tea Memory Foam Mattresses. There is also a lovely bathroom on the second floor, with large walk in shower. The massive media room is on the second floor with a pull out Full Size sofa bed as part of the sectional sofa. This room contains a very large projector screen for those fun movie nights, and is equipped with Apple TV.
Back on the first floor you will be wowed by the vaulted living room and massive stone fireplace, open dining room and gourmet level kitchen, with granite countertops, Viking stove, Bosch dishwasher and SubZero refrigerator. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, and all items you need for a comfortable stay. There is a den off the kitchen with Queen size pullout sofa and flat screen TV, and a private office, powder room and laundry room with washer/dryer.
The separate guest house contains a studio apartment on the second floor with King size Bed and Dream Cloud mattress, Queen size pull out sofa, and lots of extra space for air mattresses if needed. The guest house contains its own modern bathroom with walk-in shower.

We offer a pack and play, some small games, gates, and a high chair. We have LOADS of games, so you’re covered on those rainy days AND the sunny ones. We’re in a residential neighborhood, so we ask that you keep the noise down at night, and move inside after dark. The bathroom has a claw-foot tub with a shower installed. We have a step and a seat for people to use to swing their feet in, but it is more difficult to get into than a traditional shower.

There is no smoking or vaping allowed in our home. If damage due to smoking is found, there will be a fee to cover costs, up to $1,500 to cover the cost of additional cleaning. If furniture must be replaced, we will use the damage insurance coverage required to book our home.

- "This unit was much bigger than it seemed in the photos. We had plenty of space for my family of 4. Everything was great about this unit. The location made it easy to get around, the grocery store around the corner, many restaurants in close proximity. Etc.. The very few negatives that I have, are the washer/ dryer are in a short creepy basement full of cobwebs. We ended up going to a laundromat nearby, if I'm going to pay to wash my clothes I'd rather not crouch down and dodge the spiders. There are no baking dishes available. We had to buy an aluminum pan to bake some fries, and then I don't think the oven is calibrated. It took twice as long to bake them, which may be why there's no baking dishes available. And lastly, I love a nice hot shower, but the water gets scalding hot. May need to turn the temp down just a bit. Other than those 3 things everything was great. Communicating with the host was simple, and any questions were answered promptly."

The Space:
A wide open view of Gulf Island dam nestled on the river bank - drive right up! See eagles and soaring osprey, enjoy the peace and solitude while you fish or kayak or just chill out. Includes camp kitchen, wood, grill and water. you only need to bring your food and unplug!

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.

Group Camping: We welcome campers with larger parties, but the standard Tentrr setup only includes the canvas tent plus the additional pop-up dome tent. You may need and are encouraged to bring additional camping gear of your own if you plan on camping with a large party.

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent.

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling
-Bedding and pillows
-Lanterns and lighting
-Firewood for the campfire
-Water

Pets are welcome, local leash laws are in effect.
Leave the campsite as tidy as you found it!

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, please reach out to Tentrr Customer Support. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf.
