- "Our family couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. This Beautiful home on Birch Island is spacious and has everything you could need. The lake views from the deck and seating area are spectacular. The water was pristine and we spent many hours each day swimming and jumping off the float on the north side of the property. The deck is spacious and allows you to spread out a bit and to find both sun and shade throughout the day. We were fortunate that we probably had the best weather of the summer with no rain throughout the 7 day stay. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family. Deron & Jen"

- "We had an amazing stay at this cute lake house. Rustic and quaint but had all the amenities you need. The host was amazing and anything we needed they took care of right away. Three bedrooms with plenty of sleeping space. Large living and dining room so we were never crowded. My favorite spot was the enclosed porch with table and chairs. We played lots of cards and games as a family and awesome view of the lake. The large deck outside was awesome. Large yard which our family enjoyed playing badminton. The only thing missing was a kayaks and stairs down off the dock to access the lake. We made due and borrowed a kayak from a friend. Plus really would of loved a fire pit, but I bet by next summer they will have one. We would def rent this place again."

Take the short path through the blueberry bushes over the boardwalk that leads to a small private island and dock with sandy swimming area on Upper Range Pond. Smores at the fire pit with family. Incredible Bass fishing right from the dock. Drop your boat in at the public ramp for water skiing and tubing. Relax on the large deck for dinner or sunny cocktails while overlooking the lake. Keep your eyes open for the resident bald eagle and fall asleep to the call of the loons. Paradise ! Please note 7 day, Saturday to Saturday stays only July and August.

- "We booked this site because of the lake, the location to Portland and golf courses, and the ability to bring our dogs. We were blessed that all 3 of our adult children got the time off, we were all together with my 90 year old Mom. The house was perfect, we loved spending the whole day in the lake, Peter supplies the paddle boards, canoes, kayaks, and a paddle boat. The setting was amazing, and our son proposed to his girlfriend on the dock in front of our family!!! It was a perfect week in the perfect spot, we will be coming back for sure!!!!! Thank You Peter for such an amazing location for our momentous event!!!"

- "Siblings and spouses spent a few days here and it was wonderful! The house and host's are great, the area is just beautiful! Had the greatest time!" - "My family and I looked all over the map of Maine for the perfect vacation spot! We have relatives in the area that we wanted to be near. We also wanted to have the ability to be near a lake or river. And lastly we needed enough space for 9 or 10 people for 4 days. This place had it all! We all had room and didn’t feel like we were intruding on anyone. The hosts, Denis and Lori, were absolutely incredible. They offered to take us on their boat to see Tripp Lake at sunset the day we arrived and it was so beautiful! The house had everything we needed to be comfortable no matter the weather or temperatures, which were in the 90’s on two days and in the 40’s the other two days. Lori communicated often to make sure we had what we needed or to ask if there was anything she could help with. Our kids loved swimming and using the canoe, kayak, and paddle boards. We all enjoyed the available board games, and the ping pong table on the rainy days. This place is just a short drive from Freeport and Portland, where we went for delicious Maine cuisine. If we ever come back from New Mexico and Texas, we will be staying here! Julieanne"

The location within the cove is ideal for kids swimming and play with a gradual shore drop into the deeper water of the cove. The shallow beachy area and large dock provide ample space for lounging in the sun, launching kayaks into the waters, enjoying the breathtaking sunset and star gazing into the pristine Maine sky.
The newly renovated, fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking up meals and mixing up cocktails to enjoy in the beautiful eat-in kitchen or just outside the sliding glass doors on the large wrap-around deck overlooking the calm cove of the lake.
An open, cathedral ceiling living room is a cozy space to relax while still being connected and near the rest of the home. Also on the main floor with the kitchen and living room, you will enjoy a comfortable master bedroom and full bathroom.

A separate bedroom including a queen sized bed and bunk bed, full bathroom, and two full-size futons in the entertainment area add more space for guests.
Just around the bend of the cove, Thompson Lake Marina offers boat and water sport rentals and a friendly neighborhood general store. Golf courses, adventure parks, ice cream shops, dining and entertainment - all located within a short drive.
Many new memories are ready to be made by your family and friends at this Maine Lake home.
- "For the last five years, my husband and I, our two daughters, and their families have stayed in the Sebago Lake area for one week. This is the fourth house we have stayed in, and it was absolutely the best. It was so spacious that we could all spread out and have some, quiet, alone time. But the large living room, and the kitchen/dining room were big enough so that we could all come together to enjoy meals, special activities, movies, etc. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the house was equipped with everything we needed. Lauren at the property management company was extremely responsive and quickly provided beach towels and dish towels when we found we didn’t have any. The deck, the chairs around the fire pit, and the dock all provided lovely spaces for being outside and relaxing. The only down side of our stay was that the little ones didn’t like the mucky bottom of the lake and the grasses that surrounded the dock. But that is hardly something under the owners’ control. Overall, our 8-year-old summed it up well: “This house is awesome!!”"

- "We had a wonderful time." - "Loved the sandy beach and the general area. The house itself has plenty of space for 4 adults and has all the modern touches you need to feel comfortable. Only minor complaint was that the beds and pillows weren't the most comfortable, but I'm quite picky about those!" - "Excellent time!" - "This camp met all our expectations: it is set up for you to enjoy yourself." - "Third time renting from Jim and I can’t express how accommodating he is to your every need. - "We've rented many houses on lakes in Maine and NH and this was one of the best all around. The house was large enough for our 3 families (9 people) with room and beds to spare. Thompson Lake is magnificent and clean. The property appeared to be new to the rental market so a few minor glitches, but nothing of concern. A "starter kit" of tp, a paper towel roll, a tiny dish soap is provided, but you will need to bring or buy more. No s&p or spices at all. Coffee maker takes ground coffee. A Hannaford market and dollar store are 10 minutes' drive. Also bring towels for the lake. We rented a pontoon boat and tube at the Thompson Lake Marina and had a blast. We enjoyed the two kayaks and the hot tub. For a change of pace you might want to visit Goss berry farm and the Mechanics Falls flea market. Best ever Maine whoopie pies at Kindred Farm Bakery & Market in Casco!"

- "Clean nice property on Thompson Lake. Very nice stay." - "This is a great place! We enjoyed walking down to the sandy beach. Our girls loved it, especially since we were there during a very hot period. The house does have AC, so that was a blessing! The house was very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked. It actually came stocked with some basic cooking needs such as spices, oil, butter, etc. We did have some needs while we where there, and Brad was promptly on those needs. One example is that we could only find child life vests for kayaking. We explained to him that we wanted to go out on the water with our girls and set a good example with the life vests. He promptly went out and purchased two adult life vests. Brad is still relatively new to the VRBO world with this property. That explains the low number of reviews. Trust me, this is a great place! Since it is tucked in on Thompson Lake, it takes 20-30 minutes to get just about everywhere, including the grocery store. That is typical for this area. "

First time on the rental market - come enjoy our happy place! We love spending time here to relax and reconnect, and we hope you do too! With over 75’ of private waterfront on beautiful Tripp Lake you can’t go wrong and will experience the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen. With all the comforts of home it is a perfect place to enjoy a summer, fall or winter getaway in Maine with family and friends.
Our home is located on beautiful 3 mile long Tripp lake, one of the cleanest and most serene lakes in Maine. It is a great spot for boating, kayaking, fishing or hanging out on the water. There is a small public beach on the opposite side of the lake, but you have access to the water from your own private dock with gradual entry into the water for young children. There are many clam shells, so lake shoes are recommended. The long dock is well lit, and you are welcome to use the provided canoe and kayak with life jackets (at your own risk). Bring your fishing rods for some early morning or evening casting. The large flat yard and private driveway are great, safe places to play for kids. We also have several bald eagles living around the lake as well as loons – so keep your eyes peeled!
A fall or winter getaway is just as lovely. You can enjoy the beautiful fall foliage, golf at the Poland Springs Inn, and in the winter there are several ski mountains accessible in under 60 minutes and easy access to snow shoeing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, tubing, sledding, and cross country skiing.
The house has all of the modern amenities of home including dishwasher and washer and dryer. The three bedrooms will comfortably sleep 8 people. The primary bedroom is huge, with new furniture including a king size bed, tv, desk, and sweeping views of the lake and the beautiful sunsets. The second bedroom features a queen size bed and tv, and the third bedroom includes two bunkbeds – suitable for a great time for the kids.
The kitchen features a breakfast bar, modern appliances, lots of counter space, and is fully stocked with all the essentials, including microwave, coffee maker, toaster, air fryer, pots/pans/dishes etc. Plus our large dining room seats 8+. The living room has a gas fireplace, Smart TV, games and a large sofa for the whole family to relax. There is also a bonus room for kids to hang out in the front of the house with views of the lake.
Tripp Lake is quieter and more family friendly than the busier Sebago and Long Lakes. If you’re looking for a livelier evening you can hop down to Bridgton, Casco, or Naples, they are all a short drive away and have fun restaurants, bars, and shops. If you like even more excitement, the Oxford Casino is a short 8 minute drive away. There is plenty of parking in the driveway, please do not park on the lawn.
What is provided: Upon your arrival, the house will be clean and stocked with some toilet paper and paper towels to get you started. Please bring your own bath towels and sheets for the bunk bed room. Sheets & towels will be provided for the King & Queen bedrooms. There is a Hannafords Supermarket less than 5 minutes away so it is a quick trip to get your groceries or any other needed supplies.
- "Great vacation spot! Very private as specified. The home was very clean and comfortable. The dock was very useful. Enjoyed using kayaks and a canoe. Also, we had a great time fishing and paddle boarding. A place we will definitely be revisiting." - "As a deviation from our normal beach vacations, we decided to "get away from it all" and head to Maine for a week of some much needed quiet recharging. This house is clean, comfy, and well supplied. The long dock was the site of morning coffee, and afternoon/evening drinks sipped in silence. The lake gets busy on the weekends, but the weekdays are calm, and everyone we met that week was friendly. We took a day trip into Portland (45 min away) and a day trip to Mt. Washington (1.5 hrs away) and loved that when we were done running around, we could come back to the house and just chill. The owners were very pro-active and wanted to make sure we enjoyed ourselves, which we most certainly did. A huge thank you to them!"
