This went on for about an hour and when I called the front desk they told me it was because someone had just checked in next to us. The next morning when I looked at the door, it wasn’t for a guest room. I asked one of the staff members what the room was and he said it’s for the hotel staff. I asked for a refund from hotels.com and they were able to get that back for me. We were able to find another hotel, which saved our trip. "

This slice of paradise is located inside Omni La Costa resort, Carlsbad with access to most amenities without the premium cost! You will stay in a 1 bedroom executive villa with 2 king beds and a pullout Queen sofa bed. Relax in the garden pools and hot tubs or enjoy the world acclaimed spa at the Omni Resort! You have access to the Restaurants at the resort as well as the Gym(for a fee) and Tennis and Pickle ball courts(for a fee). The villa itself is well anointed with a fully stocked kitchen, silverware and glassware for a family of 6. The villa sleeps 6 adults comfortably and has a balcony overlooking the Batiquitos lagoon. The bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower and a jacuzzi bath tub. The villa has a washer and dryer along with a microwave, toaster and a mini refrigerator.

When you book our Villa, you will check-in at the front desk of the Resort. You will also be sent a confirmation number of the Resort prior to your visit. You will be able to charge room service to the room, order movies, and charge restaurant/ bar bills to your room during your stay. Your credit card will be used to cover these charges when you check-out.

I asked that we be moved to a better location when we checked in but we were told that the resort was full, too bad so sad. I appreciated Cathy giving them a call but to no avail. Otherwise the Aviara is a knockout in stunning Carlsbad. I’m a bit nervous about booking in the future as I was told that owners will get priority locations. This may have been a one off unfortunate situation as owners we spoke with around the property said they really enjoy their residences. Overall a 4.5 but would have appreciated a better location for sure."

My townhome is a quiet paradise with a modern vibe. Close enough to the beach for ocean breezes, temperatures are moderate year round. Sun streams into the private garden courtyard for morning coffee. The private back patio, with sunset views, is perfect for evening BBQs. I have two masters with queens (could convert one to twins), plus a first floor 1/2 bath. Within the complex there's a pool with plenty of lounging space, tennis courts, and jacuzzi area with patio tables for sunset views over the Pacific.

South Carlsbad State Beach is exactly one mile from the front door. Legoland is 2 miles away. Beach communities of Carlsbad, Leucadia, and Encinitas, with their restaurants and entertainment, are only a few miles away. Downtown San Diego is a 40 minute drive south. Or catch the Coaster, less than 2 miles away, and ride the train to San Diego or north to Orange County and LA.
