Located just a few houses from the shoreline of the town's beautiful lake, you'll have the privilege of walking or riding your bike to swim or to grab a bite in town. This mountain town is full of charm at every turn.

Our cabin is located in the quaint village of Green Valley Lake at an altitude of 7,200 feet. Less than a 1 minute walk to the charming lake.

As you walk into this sweet cabin, you'll find an open living space with dining area, kitchen and wood burning fireplace (bring small pieces of wood under 10 inches). A sliding glass door opens to a huge private outdoor deck surrounded by majestic trees. You'll hear the creek and waterfalls in the serene setting that nature has provided during the snowy winter months. Enjoy your morning coffee on the inviting deck. Back inside - down 4 small steps - the main bedroom has a cozy queen sized bed. Second bedroom houses a full sized bed. Both rooms have TV, space heaters and table lamps with dual USB ports and touch control.

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, and dishware.

The entire home is heated by a wall furnace in the center of the cabin that keeps it comfortably cozy in the winter.

The cabin features a compact bathroom with a toilet snugly nestled next to the wall, which may be a bit tight for larger guests. The shower stall is also small, but has amazing water pressure and heats up quick. Despite its size, the bathroom is bright and airy, offering ample storage for your toiletries.

We have Wi-fi so can enjoy your endless streaming of Netflix etc.

Please note that we have two security cameras on the outside of our property. One points at the front door and one points at the back door. The purpose of these cameras is to help us to monitor weather/snow conditions and to ensure the security of the property. Well trained and fully potty-trained dogs may come along with prior approval and $25 pet fee.
PARKING: Please note that our property includes designated parking for ONE car directly in front of the house. If you are bringing more than one vehicle, you will need to find parking on the street. Street parking may be available, but it is not guaranteed, and guests are responsible for adhering to any local parking regulations.

There is hiking, skiing, fishing, and swimming during the summer months. The lake is regularly stocked. Don't forget that there is a fishing pass fee at the lake $25, but adults still need a CA fishing license.

**In the winter months it is required that you have snow chains for your vehicle! On your drive up the mountain, if you are required to put snow chains on your tires, you will be told when and where to put them on by the CHP. If you do not have chains, when required, the CHP will make you turn around and go back down the mountain.
Yes, even 4x4 Vehicles must have snow chains, most of the time you will only be required to carry your chains and show them to the CHP when requested!

A REMINDER TO OUR WINTER RENTERS
Green Valley Lake is located at 7,200 feet and therefore can be subject to various winter conditions. Please be advised of the following:
• If you cannot reach Green Valley Lake due to road closures you will not be charged.
• ALWAYS carry chains from October through April. IMPORTANT: we do not adjust our prices upwards during snowfall. If you are snowed in while you are staying and request a snow removal service - they will charge you anywhere from $40- 65. We also have shovels onsite if you prefer.

- "This place gets high marks in just about every category for anyone seeking a quiet, cozy, semi-rustic time. It's super clean and not musty (as some older places can be). But It also has the comforting feel of being lived-in. (unlike so many corporate owned places). It has a good mixture of vibey lighting and natural window light. The deck really does feel like an extra room and even in the fall we found ourselves sitting out there a lot. The pictures don't do the view from the deck justice. You're basically on the edge of a beautiful, deep, rocky valley with trees all around. We even saw a couple deer climbing through it. The only cautionary note I would add is that the coziness might be felt as cramped by some people who are considerably tall or large. And while it can sleep 4 comfortably, the space is probably most ideal for 2 adults and maybe a small child or two. The lake is as close as you can get without being right on the actual water. There are a couple shops and places down the street to get a bottle of wine or some coffee and a few groceries. It was a peaceful energy but we came in the fall so high season is probably a bit more lively. And a special note for any Canadian ex-pats: This place captures that quaint cottage experience we all grew up with and have learned is extremely hard to find in southern California. We plan on returning! "

Welcome to our quaint little town surrounded by the National Forest! Where there is a lot to do or nothing to do at all! A place you can truly get back to whats important and let your mind settle! We are Located in a picturesque town set at 7200 ft of elevation the highest peek of the mountain with a lovely stocked lake May-October! Although fishing is year round! The mountains surrounding our little town are majestic and always changing!Welcome to our rustic get away, where our family gets away in just a short drive! We would love to share our cabin with you and hope you enjoy it and its surroundings as much as we do! The Cabin is 864 sq ft, with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. One bedroom has a queen while the 2nd bedroom has 4 twin beds with beautifully handmade log bunkbeds. The living room also has a queen sofa sleeper if needed. The great room is open, roomy and cozy! The cabin is entirely single story with no stairs inside. However there are a few stairs coming up to the front door and also a few short steps to access the home in the rear and is not fenced. Parking is plenty and were one of the few with an easy access parking with a pull through driveway. There is adventure waiting right out the front door within a minute walk you step right into the national forest with whatever fancies you. A wonderful sled Meadow near by! Miles and miles of trails! We are also about a 10 minute walk to the lake and town! Our cabin comes equipped with Wifi and TV equipped to handle all your Netflix and HULU, bluetooth speaker to listen to your cabin tunes, and a good library of movies, reading and games!

You are only 200 steps to the lake and can see the beach from Our Cabin @ The Lake. We are located on a cul-de-sac in the "Hidden Gem" known as Green Valley Lake (elevation 7200').

Your stay at Our Cabin is walking distance (200 steps/2 minutes) to the beautiful lake.

Green Valley Lake is a small town in between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear.
The space
Quaint cabin. Cozy living room with a large couch and a TV with streaming capability. Well stocked kitchen with an eat-in dining area. Nice deck off of the kitchen with a barbecue and umbrella for the summer. Two bedrooms upstairs, each with a queen bed.

Winter info:

Every year is unique, but snow season can be from October - May. When there is rain, ice, or snow it may cause decks, patios, porches, stairs, walkways and roads to become icy and slippery. Please be cautious when walking or driving under these conditions. They frequently plow the main roads and chains are mandatory for driving in these conditions. Four wheel drive is recommended.

During severe winter storms, there can be downed tree limbs, road closures, and power outages. Be advised that it can take time to restore power and clear roads. It is also beyond our control if the power company turns off the electricity when there's a high risk of fire.

You will be responsible for clearing the snow and ice from the steps on and around your cars during your stay with a provided snow shovel. If you get snowed in, we provide contacts for local plowers that you can hire at your discretion.
Guest access
It is a short walk to the lake and town from the cabin. There is a beautiful walking path around the lake and plenty of nearby hiking and off road trails.

There is plenty of parking on the property. Please no parking on the street. During the winter months, the streets are maintained by snow plows.

Please be respectful of surrounding neighbors properties.
Other things to note
Seasonal fishing, a beautiful walking trail around the lake, summer boat rentals/beach access and plenty of local trails. Please visit (gvlfishing dot com) for more information.

October through May can bring snow and winter storms. We advise you to check the weather and road conditions before you head up the mountain. Please make sure to bring tire chains and be prepared for snow storms during these months.

There is NO SMOKING of any kind allow inside the cabin.

Please do not use the upper deck--for emergency exit only.

There is a fireplace but no wood is provided (please bring your own wood if you would like to use the fireplace). PLEASE MAKE SURE THE FLUE (OPENING INSIDE THE FIREPLACE TO LET OUT THE SMOKE) IS OPEN BEFORE STARTING THE FIRE. Also, please do not turn off the gas valve to the heater by the fireplace as this will extinguish the pilot light and turn off the heater. The thermostat for this heater is on the wall near the restroom. There is also another heater back by the washer and dryer.

Please make sure to turn off the propane (turn valve counterclockwise to open and clockwise to close gas on tank) after using the barbecue on the back porch. Contact us if you run out of propane. We have a replacement tank nearby.

When you leave:
*Please turn off the main water (valve by front door)
*Please leave both heaters at 60 degrees in the winter (turn or keep off in summer)
*Make sure the heaters are off upstairs
*Place leave all towels in the bathroom and dirty linens on the bed when you leave

The kitchen is nice has everything you need and enough room to cook and set things around you. The little living room if you like to call it that has a rocking chairs to watch the TV or a huge bean bag where me and my girlfriend sat with a blanket to watch the TV. The bed upstairs is a bit tall and personally the bed itself was uncomfortable, but everything was clean there was many board games for kids or friends another TV upstairs where we watched HP with hot chocolate. The bathrooms are very nice and also hot water! The cabin overall was awesome and cozy would definitely go back to this cabin in the future."

In keeping with the tradition of A-frames, the home’s main level features vaulted ceilings with floor to ceiling windows on the rear side. The wood burning fireplace and smart tv are central to the room, framed on either side by sliding glass doors which open onto the back deck. Reaching out into the trees, the deck feels reminiscent of a tree house with comfortable seating, outdoor dining, natural gas firepit, and grill.

Back inside, the fully equipped kitchen has all the appliances and homeware needed for cozy meals and drinks at home. In addition to the outdoor dining space, and indoor table seats 6 guests for shared meals.

We loved the loft! It was a great place to read in the morning and enjoy the view. The record player and vintage records in the living room was an extra treat! We had fun roasting marshmallows and making s’mores on the deck. The 2 bedrooms are perfect size, each with your own bathroom! Water pressure was great with dual shower heads. Our stay was comfy and relaxing. The driveway is a bit steep, but much easier to back in then pull in forward. I got the hang of it! Martin was helpful and checking in was very easy."

- "We had a great time and the cabin was perfect for us. I gifted the trip to my Fiance' for his Birthday. We wanted to get away and do a little fishing. However, Green Valley Lake is quite cute but small and they wanted $25 a person to fish and it didn't seem worth it to us. The area is beautiful, the cabin was so great. Lots of Steps, if you take a hike save energy to walk up the steps lol! We used the kitchen, it was stocked with everything you could need to cook. We read another review and made sure we brought everything food and drink wise that you would need, because stores were far. There is a small market in town. The only issue I would have with this cabin is the other bedroom is quite far from the Master Bedroom, if I were to bring my Grandchildren I would not want them that far, from us while sleeping, but they could sleep on couches or under stair nook. We would definitely stay here again it was really cozy, clean and well stocked."
