Located just a few houses from the shoreline of the town's beautiful lake, you'll have the privilege of walking or riding your bike to swim or to grab a bite in town. This mountain town is full of charm at every turn.

Our cabin is located in the quaint village of Green Valley Lake at an altitude of 7,200 feet. Less than a 1 minute walk to the charming lake.

As you walk into this sweet cabin, you'll find an open living space with dining area, kitchen and wood burning fireplace (bring small pieces of wood under 10 inches). A sliding glass door opens to a huge private outdoor deck surrounded by majestic trees. You'll hear the creek and waterfalls in the serene setting that nature has provided during the snowy winter months. Enjoy your morning coffee on the inviting deck. Back inside - down 4 small steps - the main bedroom has a cozy queen sized bed. Second bedroom houses a full sized bed. Both rooms have TV, space heaters and table lamps with dual USB ports and touch control.

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, and dishware.

The entire home is heated by a wall furnace in the center of the cabin that keeps it comfortably cozy in the winter.

The cabin features a compact bathroom with a toilet snugly nestled next to the wall, which may be a bit tight for larger guests. The shower stall is also small, but has amazing water pressure and heats up quick. Despite its size, the bathroom is bright and airy, offering ample storage for your toiletries.

We have Wi-fi so can enjoy your endless streaming of Netflix etc.

Please note that we have two security cameras on the outside of our property. One points at the front door and one points at the back door. The purpose of these cameras is to help us to monitor weather/snow conditions and to ensure the security of the property. Well trained and fully potty-trained dogs may come along with prior approval and $25 pet fee.
PARKING: Please note that our property includes designated parking for ONE car directly in front of the house. If you are bringing more than one vehicle, you will need to find parking on the street. Street parking may be available, but it is not guaranteed, and guests are responsible for adhering to any local parking regulations.

There is hiking, skiing, fishing, and swimming during the summer months. The lake is regularly stocked. Don't forget that there is a fishing pass fee at the lake $25, but adults still need a CA fishing license.

**In the winter months it is required that you have snow chains for your vehicle! On your drive up the mountain, if you are required to put snow chains on your tires, you will be told when and where to put them on by the CHP. If you do not have chains, when required, the CHP will make you turn around and go back down the mountain.
Yes, even 4x4 Vehicles must have snow chains, most of the time you will only be required to carry your chains and show them to the CHP when requested!

A REMINDER TO OUR WINTER RENTERS
Green Valley Lake is located at 7,200 feet and therefore can be subject to various winter conditions. Please be advised of the following:
• If you cannot reach Green Valley Lake due to road closures you will not be charged.
• ALWAYS carry chains from October through April. IMPORTANT: we do not adjust our prices upwards during snowfall. If you are snowed in while you are staying and request a snow removal service - they will charge you anywhere from $40- 65. We also have shovels onsite if you prefer.

- "This place gets high marks in just about every category for anyone seeking a quiet, cozy, semi-rustic time. It's super clean and not musty (as some older places can be). But It also has the comforting feel of being lived-in. (unlike so many corporate owned places). It has a good mixture of vibey lighting and natural window light. The deck really does feel like an extra room and even in the fall we found ourselves sitting out there a lot. The pictures don't do the view from the deck justice. You're basically on the edge of a beautiful, deep, rocky valley with trees all around. We even saw a couple deer climbing through it. The only cautionary note I would add is that the coziness might be felt as cramped by some people who are considerably tall or large. And while it can sleep 4 comfortably, the space is probably most ideal for 2 adults and maybe a small child or two. The lake is as close as you can get without being right on the actual water. There are a couple shops and places down the street to get a bottle of wine or some coffee and a few groceries. It was a peaceful energy but we came in the fall so high season is probably a bit more lively. And a special note for any Canadian ex-pats: This place captures that quaint cottage experience we all grew up with and have learned is extremely hard to find in southern California. We plan on returning! "

Welcome to our quaint little town surrounded by the National Forest! Where there is a lot to do or nothing to do at all! A place you can truly get back to whats important and let your mind settle! We are Located in a picturesque town set at 7200 ft of elevation the highest peek of the mountain with a lovely stocked lake May-October! Although fishing is year round! The mountains surrounding our little town are majestic and always changing!Welcome to our rustic get away, where our family gets away in just a short drive! We would love to share our cabin with you and hope you enjoy it and its surroundings as much as we do! The Cabin is 864 sq ft, with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. One bedroom has a queen while the 2nd bedroom has 4 twin beds with beautifully handmade log bunkbeds. The living room also has a queen sofa sleeper if needed. The great room is open, roomy and cozy! The cabin is entirely single story with no stairs inside. However there are a few stairs coming up to the front door and also a few short steps to access the home in the rear and is not fenced. Parking is plenty and were one of the few with an easy access parking with a pull through driveway. There is adventure waiting right out the front door within a minute walk you step right into the national forest with whatever fancies you. A wonderful sled Meadow near by! Miles and miles of trails! We are also about a 10 minute walk to the lake and town! Our cabin comes equipped with Wifi and TV equipped to handle all your Netflix and HULU, bluetooth speaker to listen to your cabin tunes, and a good library of movies, reading and games!

We prefer to rent to people who share a little about themselves and the nature of their stay. This cabin is very special to our family and we consider each guest as if they were visiting friends. You are only 200 steps to the lake and can see the beach from Our Cabin @ The Lake. We are located on a cul-de-sac in the "Hidden Gem" known as Green Valley Lake (elevation 7200').

Your stay at Our Cabin is walking distance (200 steps/2 minutes) to the beautiful lake.

Green Valley Lake is a small town in between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear.
The space
Quaint cabin. Cozy living room with a large couch and a TV with streaming capability. Well stocked kitchen with an eat-in dining area. Nice deck off of the kitchen with a barbecue and umbrella for the summer. Two bedrooms upstairs, each with a queen bed.

Winter info:

Every year is unique, but snow season can be from October - May. When there is rain, ice, or snow it may cause decks, patios, porches, stairs, walkways and roads to become icy and slippery. Please be cautious when walking or driving under these conditions. They frequently plow the main roads and chains are mandatory for driving in these conditions. Four wheel drive is recommended.

During severe winter storms, there can be downed tree limbs, road closures, and power outages. Be advised that it can take time to restore power and clear roads. It is also beyond our control if the power company turns off the electricity when there's a high risk of fire.

You will be responsible for clearing the snow and ice from the steps on and around your cars during your stay with a provided snow shovel. If you get snowed in, we provide contacts for local plowers that you can hire at your discretion.
Guest access
It is a short walk to the lake and town from the cabin. There is a beautiful walking path around the lake and plenty of nearby hiking and off road trails.

There is plenty of parking on the property. Please no parking on the street. During the winter months, the streets are maintained by snow plows.

Please be respectful of surrounding neighbors properties.
Other things to note
Seasonal fishing, a beautiful walking trail around the lake, summer boat rentals/beach access and plenty of local trails. Please visit (gvlfishing dot com) for more information.

October through May can bring snow and winter storms. We advise you to check the weather and road conditions before you head up the mountain. Please make sure to bring tire chains and be prepared for snow storms during these months.

There is NO SMOKING of any kind allow inside the cabin.

Please do not use the upper deck--for emergency exit only.

There is a fireplace but no wood is provided (please bring your own wood if you would like to use the fireplace). PLEASE MAKE SURE THE FLUE (OPENING INSIDE THE FIREPLACE TO LET OUT THE SMOKE) IS OPEN BEFORE STARTING THE FIRE. Also, please do not turn off the gas valve to the heater by the fireplace as this will extinguish the pilot light and turn off the heater. The thermostat for this heater is on the wall near the restroom. There is also another heater back by the washer and dryer.

Please make sure to turn off the propane (turn valve counterclockwise to open and clockwise to close gas on tank) after using the barbecue on the back porch. Contact us if you run out of propane. We have a replacement tank nearby.

When you leave:
*Please turn off the main water (valve by front door)
*Please leave both heaters at 60 degrees in the winter (turn or keep off in summer)
*Make sure the heaters are off upstairs
*Place leave all towels in the bathroom and dirty linens on the bed when you leave
*Please lock and close all windows and doors

The bed upstairs is a bit tall and personally the bed itself was uncomfortable, but everything was clean there was many board games for kids or friends another TV upstairs where we watched HP with hot chocolate. In keeping with the tradition of A-frames, the home’s main level features vaulted ceilings with floor to ceiling windows on the rear side. The wood burning fireplace and smart tv are central to the room, framed on either side by sliding glass doors which open onto the back deck. Reaching out into the trees, the deck feels reminiscent of a tree house with comfortable seating, outdoor dining, natural gas firepit, and grill.

Back inside, the fully equipped kitchen has all the appliances and homeware needed for cozy meals and drinks at home. In addition to the outdoor dining space, and indoor table seats 6 guests for shared meals.

We had fun roasting marshmallows and making s’mores on the deck. The 2 bedrooms are perfect size, each with your own bathroom! Water pressure was great with dual shower heads. Our stay was comfy and relaxing. The driveway is a bit steep, but much easier to back in then pull in forward. I got the hang of it! Martin was helpful and checking in was very easy."

- "We had a great time and the cabin was perfect for us. I gifted the trip to my Fiance' for his Birthday. We wanted to get away and do a little fishing. However, Green Valley Lake is quite cute but small and they wanted $25 a person to fish and it didn't seem worth it to us. The area is beautiful, the cabin was so great. Lots of Steps, if you take a hike save energy to walk up the steps lol! We used the kitchen, it was stocked with everything you could need to cook. We read another review and made sure we brought everything food and drink wise that you would need, because stores were far. There is a small market in town. The only issue I would have with this cabin is the other bedroom is quite far from the Master Bedroom, if I were to bring my Grandchildren I would not want them that far, from us while sleeping, but they could sleep on couches or under stair nook. We would definitely stay here again it was really cozy, clean and well stocked."

- "The property is better than advertised! The house is clean, well equipped and the beds are comfy! Plenty of games to play while enjoying the fireplace. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare any kind of meal, eating on the patio enjoying the wilderness view was great. It’s a very short walk to the lake." - "The cabin looks small from the outside but inside was very spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean and more than adequately stocked with dishes, utensils, bedding, and lots of extras like toiletries, spices, cleaning supplies, games, books, VHS tapes...just so much more than we expected. The host responded to all my questions immediately. Unfortunately we had one issue. We were counting on a sofa bed, as listed online in the description of the property, but the couch that was actually in the cabin did not convert to a bed. - "Everything about this experience exceeded our expectations. Communication with the owners was straightforward and clear, everything was well cleaned and presentable, almost everything you could need was provided (e.g. soap, towels, kitchenware, coffee filters, water purifier carafes, etc), and instructions on how to use the televisions, fireplace, thermostat, etc. were labelled and easy to follow. It's also dead quiet at night (except for the sounds of the frogs echoing up from the lake) which was exactly what we were looking for in a wilderness retreat! The only downsides that we ran into were since this is in the mountains there wasn't much for a yard, which made pottying our dogs difficult. Our options were only dirt and gravel, both of which had nasty thorny plants that left burrs on both of our pets every time they had to go out. We were able to remedy this problem by buying some fake grass from a hardware store in Big Bear, but even then it took them some considerable getting accustomed to. Just something for other pet owners to consider prior to their stay. Parking was also unexpectedly on the street at the bottom of a downhill curve. Fortunately our SUV wasn't hit at any point however. I would recommend this property based on our experience."

About this space
Get away from city life and enjoy a peaceful escape. Take an easy 10 minute walk to the lake and town where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. We are between Lake Arrowhead & Big Bear. Hiking and off-road trails are everywhere & we're close to Snow Valley Ski Resort & Snow Summit skiing. We have a game room with a pool table and air hockey table in the garage along with puzzles and board games in the main living area. There are stairs in this cabin and 3 total levels.

THE SPACE
We do have a steep incline driveway. Guests are only allowed to park on the paved driveway on the left closest to the cabin and not on our neighbors driveway. You will be asked to move your car if parked on neighbors side.

The main living area which is the middle level is where the kitchen, living room with fire place, tv, dining table and bathroom are. Enjoy indoor and outdoor dining on our deck with a great view of surrounding nature. Bottom level is the master suite with a King size bed, futon bed and bathroom. Top bedroom loft on third level has a full size bed, twin size bed and a second twin size bed in the upper loft. There is also a work/study desk area on your way up to the third level.

Other things to note
There are stairs in this cabin going up to the main living area and bedrooms. You do need to access the primary bedroom to enter the garage.

Disclaimer: We have 3 actively recording cameras on the property. One device is above the front door overlooking the front door and part of the driveway. One device is by the driveway, above the garage. One device is on the deck. All devices are on the exterior of the property.

During winter months, we require all guests have vehicles with AWD/4x4 and chains to ensure vehicle gets up and down the driveway safely. Prior to your stay, driveway is plowed, however, if snow is covering driveway during your stay, guests are responsible for shoveling. Shovels provided by host in the garage. This ensures guests vacate property at the time of check-out of 10:00am or guest will be charged $100 each hour past stay.

- "I took my daughter and grandkids for a snow day. Cute cabin with plenty of room. It was a little tricky with the 14 month old, but I did not expect it to be baby proof anyway. Older kids loved it. I know renting a whole house is not cheap, but I would like to make it a good value for what you get. I’m always available, and have several things I can control for you remotely. I’ll have the house heated when you arrive.

Primary room is furnished with a new queen bed, Wi-Fi television with all the current streams. Also, a rollaway bed is available that fits in the room. Carpeted private patio through the sliding door with lounge furniture equipped.
Secondary room has a full bed, with a twin above, and a separate twin bed adjacent. Rollaway bed also can fit in the room. 32 inch TV with all standard streams included.

Guests will be given their individual pin codes for front door access. Pin codes can be made custom for whatever pin code. You want it to be guest have access to the whole house minus the locked door to the basement and also the garage will remain locked.

Whether this will be your first time in Green Valley Lake or one of many visits, it's without a doubt that you'll continue to fall in love with this small mountain town. Our cabin, The Wanderlust Retreat, was built in 1969 and we did our best to keep the original rustic charm for that true cabin feel. Our 2 story cabin with 2 bedrooms and one and half baths is located on a paved road, with 2 car parking and comfortably accommodates seven people. It's truly a perfect getaway for families and friends.
Inside you’ll find a comfortable living room where you can start up a fire in the wood burning fireplace. The TV is set up with a fire-stick so you can enjoy your favorite streaming apps. You'll find an assortment of board games, cards, puzzles and an array of books to borrow during your stay. We made sure to fully stock the kitchen with everything you'll need to prepare your meals and enjoy on the spacious dining table. To start off your mornings, you'll find coffee and tea in the kitchen pantry. Enjoy the unfenced backyard and get ready to snap some pictures of the biggest bushy tail squirrels! Located mid-way between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear, Green Valley Lake is the perfect place to truly feel above the clouds.

PETS: We will consider 1 dog only on a case-by-case basis with a $50 pet fee. Please do not leave dogs unattended/unsupervised.

TRASH REMOVAL: Trash is picked up Monday mornings, so please place the trash cans on the curb before you leave.

SMOKE-FREE ZONE: Our cabin maintains a smoke-free environment to ensure the comfort and well-being of all guests.

CELL COVERAGE: Cell phone reception may be limited, with Verizon working best. Feel free to login to our WiFi.

WEATHER: Weather is tricky, especially when it comes with storms, rain, wind and snow. During the winter months, you will be required to carry chains. Please ensure to check CalTrans for road closures and driving restrictions. No refunds due to weather.

SNOW TIPS: Make sure your brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition and fill your gas tank before entering chain control areas.
Check your antifreeze and be ready for colder temperatures.
Check your tires. Make sure they are properly inflated and the tread is in good condition. A minimum tread depth of 6/32” is recommended for driving in snow.
Always carry chains and make sure they are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. Practice installing chains before you encounter snowy highway conditions.
It is also a good idea to take along water, food, warm blankets and extra clothing for unanticipated travel delays.
During winter months, motorists may encounter chain controls in mountain areas.

BEARS, BOBCATS AND OTHER WILDLIFE OH MY: The cabin is surrounded by the National Forest so do not leave food unattended outside.

POWER-OUTAGES: At times, the power may go out in Green Valley Lake to prevent fires. We have placed flashlights and lanterns for your use. No refunds due to power outages.

SNOW PLOW: If arriving during the winter season, we’ll ensure the drive way is plowed but you’ll be responsible for removing snow from the steps and front door, and any snow from the driveway once your stay has begun.

VIDEO SURVEILANCE: For security and safety, the cabin has a Ring-Doorbell. *Please note, nearest restaurants are within a 10 minute drive on State Highway 18.

Green Valley Lake is the hidden jem of the mountain.
We are a 10 minute walk to the lake, park and town. Lots of fishing and fun!! You’ll love the ambiance, the beauty of the outdoors space, & the cleanliness . We are between Lake Arrowhead & Big Bear. Hiking trails abound & we're close to Snow Valley Ski Resort & Snow Summit. There are stairs in this house but it gives you a great tree top view. Sip some hot chocolate, watch the stars and get away from it all . NO PETS/NO SMOKING/ALLERGIES

The space
Come make memories in this well kept cabin in the mountains. Climb the stairs for a view of the tree tops and relax on the patio deck and unwind with a cup of hot cocoa and cool mountain breezes.
This 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom cabin will accommodate 5 people . Two people can sleep on the queen bed in the bedroom --2 people on the sofa bed in the living room --and another couch that can sleep 1 person on top of the couch.
There are stairs up to the home and also stairs inside up to the living area and decking. The bedroom and large bathroom are on the first floor and the kitchen, dining area and living area are on the 2nd floor. This gives you the relaxing tree top view from the whole upstairs. The deck off of the living room has it's own table and chairs for enjoying outdoor dining or your coffee in the morning.( Be aware that the door to the deck and the back door can be opened from inside but will be locked on the outside. Be careful to switch the lock on the handle and unlock it from the inside. ) There is a BBQ on the deck if you chose to use it but be aware that you might have to clean it before use. My housekeeper will not be taking the time to clean it.
If its too cold to go outdoors for dinner then you can view the outdoors from the large windows in the living room and dining area.
There is a smart TV at the cabin so be sure to bring your family code to watch Netflix or Hulu. We have forced air heating but also have a wood burning stove surrounded by rock for your enjoyment.
Please bring your own wood for the wood burning stove if you plan to use it. Do not use lighter fluid in the wood burning stove. That is for outdoor charcoal BBQ. If you do not know how to light a fire , we ask that you do not use the woodburning stove. There is a metal trash can to put any ashes in. The larger wood burning stove by the door to the deck is for decoration only . It has no flue so please do not try to light a fire in that stove.
Green Valley Lake is at about 7200 feet so in the winter we get the most snow of any town on the mountain. Make sure to bring warm clothes and snow boots in the winter months as it can be slippery in the ice and snow. The driveway can be steep so in snowy conditions we advise parking at the bottom of the driveway or across the street.

There is parking up on the driveway except in snowy conditions. In snowy conditions you must park at the bottom of the driveway or across the street.
In the winter there can be heavy snow. If snowplowing is needed, We will set up a company to snow plow a place for your to park. You, the guest, pay for the snow plowing. We have no control over the price of snow plowing. Whatever the company charges is what we charge you. We do not make money on the snow plowing. You will pay for the snow plowing on Airbnb's resolution center. It is usually about $60

Other things to note
There are stairs up to the front door and then stairs inside which lead up to the living area and views from the deck. When you arrive you will need to open the water lines by a turn of a "T" rod outside in order to receive water into the house. Green Valley Lake is very careful to make sure that all vacation rentals turn the water on when arriving and turn the water off when leaving. Follow the instructions that you have been given in your airbnb messages. You can also find the instructions on the refrigerator. The rod to turn the water on and off is outside the house on the right side. Use the red "T" rod to make a 1/4 counter clockwise turn to release the water into the house. Then to turn the water off, you will need to make a 1/4 clockwise turn with the red "T" rod when you vacate. And in freezing conditions you must then go back into the house and flush the toilet to release the water out of the lines. Then pour 1/4 cup of antifreeze ( which is under the bathroom sink) into the toilet, sinks (bathroom and kitchen) and shower drains. (takes about 5 minutes to do ) There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and a queen size sofa bed in the living room and an extra couch for the 5th person. There are sheets and extra blankets in the bedroom closet and pillows in the closet in the bathroom. Since you are at 7200 feet elevation there will be plenty of snow in the winter for your enjoyment but make sure that you come prepared with snow chains so your car doesn't get stuck and be sure to put antifreeze in your radiator in freezing conditions. Be sure to wear appropriate shoes and clothing for your comfort and to avoid injury. Cell phone reception is limited in Green Valley Lake so we have WiFi for your convenience. Verizon is the best for reception on the mountain. The password is on the back of the WIFI box by the TV and I will also send it to you in my messages. You may be able to get cell reception (if you have Verizon) on my upstairs deck in the corner by the BBQ but the WiFi should make it not a problem. Make sure that you have the directions to get to the Lake House and the directions for turning the water on and off written down in case you do not have phone reception. The best reception that I have found in the Lake House is outside on the deck upstairs in the corner by the BBQ. It gets very cold at night in Green Valley Lake in the winter. We have forced air heating (the thermostat is on the wall at the landing on the stairs.) We also have a wood burning stove so if you wish to have a fire, be sure to bring firewood. We cannot assure that we will have firewood so be sure to bring your own. We have a STRICT NO SMOKING POLICY! This means cigarettes or marijuana. My husband is allergic.

Come on up to Green Valley Lake! The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and bass, the weather is cool and we're surrounded by national forest full of beautiful hiking trails. Fun for all ages with a beach for the kids and a giant swan and yellow duck paddles boats to paddle around the lake (nominal fees). Bring your bicycles or go off-roading. Completely upgraded cabin in natural setting close to private lake, village and restaurant. You'll have so much fun you'll never want to go home!

The space
Our Little House borders on the San Bernardino National Forest. Completely upgraded with modern amenities yet retains its rustic 1940's charm. This is such a cute unique cabin, with an airy open space with living room and kitchen/dining area on the ground floor, and a spacious but warm and cozy bedroom upstairs.

Guests have total access to the entire cabin.

Other things to note
We allow one (1) dog under 25 pounds with prior approval of size, type, and breed. No cats or any other animals are permitted at the cabin. If the guest should bring an animal without approval they will be asked to leave the cabin immediately without a refund.

Maximum occupancy of 4 guests is strictly enforced per County regulations. Should the guest bring more guests than reserved or approved they will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

Self Check-out
Upon Departure, take the trash to the trash can outside. Make sure stove/oven, heaters, and lights are off. Close curtains and close and lock all the windows and doors. In the winter, instead of turning off the heater, please turn the heater down to prevent the pipes from freezing.

Cleaning fee
In order to keep the cleaning fee low, we ask that you please maintain tidiness within the home. This means: If you move furniture or decorations, please put them back to the positions that you found them; If you spill something, or make a mess, please clean it up and wash all your dishes. Should any extra cleaning be left behind an additional cleaning fee will be invoiced to you.

SNOW PLAY
For liability reasons, please do not sled on property. Please do not trespass on neighbor's property to sled or snow play. Here are 3 locations that permit sledding and snow playing:
1) Green Valley Lake Camp Ground. Drive to the dead end of Green Valley Lake Rd., and park in the turnabout.
2) The Old Ski Hill. From town, walk down Green Valley Lake Road towards the community garden, make a sharp left on Angeles Road. The Old Ski Hill is on your right. DO NOT park on Angeles or Falling Leaf as parking is prohibited. Park in town and walk to the ski hill.
3) San Bernardino Mountains Land Trust Property. This property is located between Green Valley Lake and Highway 18 across the street from Camp Pondo.

Remember you are at 7,200' in elevation, so don’t overdo it at this altitude. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Leave word with a friend and avoid hiking alone.

Winterfell Lodge-
The perfect place for a needed getaway. My place was designed with two things in mind: relaxation and fun. The lake is a short 10 minute walk away. The large deck is ideal for entertaining with lounging, games and bbq'ing in the shade for nearly all of the day. The cabin is stocked with many board games as well as giant Connect 4, giant Jenga and Cornhole. Great location for skiing, hiking, biking, and off-roading.

The space
Winterfell Lodge is ideal for a couple's weekend or an adventure with a small-medium group. The cabin was originally built in the 40's and fully remodeled in 2008. It kept it's rustic feel with all of the modern amenities. You won't have to worry about running out of hot water or a non working stove. A gas heater and wood burning stove will keep you warm during the winter. The centerpiece of the cabin is the large and inviting deck. Two full size pine trees just behind the deck keep it shaded for almost all of the day. Enjoy gravity chairs for lounging during the day and star gazing at night. There is a large picnic table with two benches that is perfect for any meal. Giant size Jenga, giant Connect 4, Corn Hole and many board games will keep you entertained for hours. Wifi is available for those who need to stay connected. Plenty of options for TV and Movies with a FireTV loaded with Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime as well as old school DVD's and even older school VHS!
When you're ready to venture out, the lake is a short 10 minute walk away. As of 5/24/21, the lake is open for fishing and boat rentals (kayaks/pedal boats). The beach/swim area is open as well. Tons of hiking trails to explore with some amazing spots to watch the sunset/sunrise. Two private parking spots directly in front of the cabin. Roads are plowed during the winter.

Guests have access to the entire cabin. The first floor houses the living room, bathroom, kitchen and opens up to the large inviting deck. The second floor is the sleeping area with a King bed and two twin size beds. A storage area underneath the cabin is locked and not accessible for guests.

-My driveway can accommodate a maximum of two cars

Located just a few houses from the shoreline of the town's beautiful lake, you'll have the privledge of walking or riding your bike to swim or to grab a bite in town. This mountain town is full of charm at every turn.

The space
Our cabin is located in the quaint village of Green Valley Lake at an altitude of 7,200 feet. Less than a 1 minute walk to the charming lake.

As you walk into this sweet cabin, you'll find an open living space with dining area, kitchen and wood burning fireplace (bring small pieces of wood under 10 inches). A sliding glass door opens to a huge private outdoor deck surrounded by majestic trees hovering over a deep canyon. You'll hear the creek and waterfalls in the serene setting that nature has provided during the snowy winter months. Enjoy your morning coffee on the inviting deck. Back inside - down 4 small steps - the main bedroom has a cozy queen sized bed. Open the window to watch the trees sway and hear the creek rushing outside. Second bedroom houses a full sized bed. Both rooms have TV, space heaters and table lamps with dual USB ports and touch control.

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, and dishware.

The entire home is heated by a wall furnace in the center of the cabin that keeps it super comfortable in the winter.

Please note that our cozy cabin features a compact bathroom with a toilet snugly nestled next to the wall, which may be a bit tight for larger guests. The shower stall is also small, but has amazing water pressure and heats up quick. Despite its size, the bathroom is bright and airy, offering ample storage for your toiletries.

Step onto our expansive deck enveloped by lush trees, where charming outdoor lights create a magical ambiance. Perfect for relaxing evenings or enjoying breakfast surrounded by nature's tranquility.

We have Wi-fi so you can enjoy endless streaming of Netflix etc.

Well trained and fully potty-trained dogs may come along with prior approval and $25 pet fee.

Visit our guidebook for fabulous food and atmosphere. Skypark is fabulous for families - visit Santa's Village during the holidays. There is hiking, skiing, fishing, and swimming during the summer months. The lake is regularly stocked. Don't forget that there is a fishing pass fee at the lake $25, but adults still need a CA fishing license.

Please note that we have two security cameras on the outside of our property. One points at the front door and one points at the back door. The purpose of these cameras is to help us to monitor weather/snow conditions and to ensure the security of the property.

PARKING: Please note that our property includes designated parking for ONE car directly in front of the house. If you are bringing more than one vehicle, you will need to find parking on the street. Street parking may be available, but it is not guaranteed, and guests are responsible for adhering to any local parking regulations.

You must be at least 25 years old to reserve our property.

Other things to note
Green Valley Lake is the highest elevation town in the mountains and gets more snow than any other area in the region.

**In the winter months it is required that you have snow chains for your vehicle. On your drive up the mountain, if you are required to put snow chains on your tires, you will be told when and where to put them on by the CHP. If you do not have chains, when required, the CHP will make you turn around and go back down the mountain.
Yes, even 4x4 Vehicles must have snow chains, most of the time you will only be required to carry your chains and show them to the CHP when requested.

A REMINDER TO OUR WINTER RENTERS

• If you cannot reach Green Valley Lake due to road closures you will not be charged.
• ALWAYS carry chains from October through April.

Your stay at Our Cabin is walking distance (200 steps/2 minutes) to the beautiful lake.

Green Valley Lake is a small town in between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear.

The space
Quaint cabin. Cozy living room with a large couch and a TV with streaming capability. Well stocked kitchen with an eat-in dining area. Nice deck off of the kitchen with a barbecue and umbrella for the summer. Two bedrooms upstairs, each with a queen bed.


Winter info:

Every year is unique, but snow season can be from October - May. When there is rain, ice, or snow it may cause decks, patios, porches, stairs, walkways and roads to become icy and slippery. Please be cautious when walking or driving under these conditions. They frequently plow the main roads and chains are mandatory for driving in these conditions. Four wheel drive is recommended.

During severe winter storms, there can be downed tree limbs, road closures, and power outages. Be advised that it can take time to restore power and clear roads. It is also beyond our control if the power company turns off the electricity when there's a high risk of fire.

You will be responsible for clearing the snow and ice from the steps on and around your cars during your stay with a provided snow shovel. If you get snowed in, we provide contacts for local plowers that you can hire at your discretion.

Guest access
It is a short walk to the lake and town from the cabin. There is a beautiful walking path around the lake and plenty of nearby hiking and off road trails.

There is plenty of parking on the property. Please no parking on the street. During the winter months, the streets are maintained by snow plows.

Please be respectful of surrounding neighbors properties.

October through May can bring snow and winter storms. We advise you to check the weather and road conditions before you head up the mountain. Please make sure to bring tire chains and be prepared for snow storms during these months.

This space is the transformation of an original 384 square foot, 1920's fishing cabin. Our goal was to maintain its original form but to emphasize the beauty of its natural surroundings and create a retreat-like setting.

The work itself is a labor of love from us: the design of the space, the live slab dining table, and the custom cabinetry - each was done with thought and purpose to create a space, a life, we enjoy and can share with our guests.

The space
This cabin is situated on the edge of the forest providing for a private and secluded getaway. It is allegedly the highest point of San Bernardino Mountains.

As you step inside the cabin, you will immerse yourself in nostalgia of 1950s America. Original Sears catalog 1949 white steel kitchen was the dream of any house. Gather together for a delicious meal at a beautiful wood family table conveniently located in the big open kitchen. Kitchen, dining area and a bathroom are located on the 1st level.

Living room and 2nd bedroom are located on 2nd floor. Living room has a wood burning fire place and super comfortable and soft deep seat coach - perfect to enjoy a good movie on a chill mountain night.

Master Bedroom is located on the 3rd floor of the cabin. The ceiling slopes, following the lines of the room and the room feels like a secluded hideaway.

Please note that each floor of this historic cabin is connected by narrow stairs - adding to the charm and character of the home.

If there is snow during your stay, we will ensure the driveway is plowed prior to your check-in. However, guests are responsible for any additional snow plowing required during their stay. Please bring your own firewood if you love enjoying the fireplace. Valero gas station sells wood for your convenience - we do not provide additional firewood.

The house is heated both with natural gas heater and portable electric heaters / flooring. We check our gas heater on a regular basis to ensure proper operation - please be aware that there may be some smell when the heater kicks up.

The space
At elevation of 7200 ft., Uniquely nestled the “Snowy Owl Cottage” is within the wooded National Forest of Green Valley Lake, Ca.
Across the street from the cottage front door located at the Fawnskin trail marker there is 1287 sq miles of wide open hiking/biking, equestrian, OHV and the best of cross country skiing in the winter months.

Our quaint GVL town has a small crystal clear lake that is well stocked with 5 varieties of fish. The lake offers fishing, motor-less boating and rentals, kayaking, paddle board, and swimming all within the flat walking distance of our cabin.
There is also a convenience market/hardware store, sandwich and ice cream shop, gift shop, and our local pub bar and grill across street from the lake which hosts live music on weekends year round.

This 2-story furnished cottage is handsomely solid, comfortable, and well kept with all new carpet and flooring throughout.

The space
The cabin has two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen size bed with a dresser and clothing hooks. The second bedroom has bunk beds. The room has a closet, dresser and clothing hooks.

The living room has a large screen television with DirectTV and a Blue Ray player. There is also a fireplace to keep everyone warm on the cold, winter nights. The sofa pulls out into a queen size bed and the steamer trunk holds a number of board games. There is also a washer/dryer for your convenience.

The kitchen is full size with a gas range, microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig coffee maker. There is also dishware, utensils, and cookware.

The deck off the back of the cabin is full-size with a gas bbq and gas fire pit to sit around in the evenings!

The entire cabin is at your disposal. The storage space underneath the cabin is inaccessible for safety reasons.

The space
OWelcome to our rustic get away, where our family gets away in just a short drive! Our Family Cabin is new and freshly remodeled. We would love to share our cabin with you and hope you enjoy it and its surroundings as much as we do! The Cabin is 864 sq ft, with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. One bedroom has a queen while the 2nd bedroom has 4 twin beds with beautifully handmade log bunkbeds. The great room is open, roomy and cozy! The cabin is entirely single story with no stairs inside. However there are a few stairs coming up to the front door and also a few short steps to access the home in the rear and is not fenced. Parking is plenty and were one of the few with an easy access parking with a pull through driveway. There is adventure waiting right out the front door within a minute walk you step right into the national forest with whatever fancies you. A wonderful sled Meadow near by! Miles and miles of trails! We are also about a 10 minute walk to the lake and town! Our cabin comes equipped with Wifi and TV equipped to handle all your Netflix and HULU, bluetooth speaker to listen to your cabin tunes, and a good library of movies, reading and games!

GVL is very private pack accordingly once here you really will not want to leave. Make sure you have packed all essentials needed, as the store is minimal. There is a store in Running Springs and also a stater bros in Lake Arrowhead.

The upstairs has an en-suite master bedroom and a den with a queen futon where you can play games and watch nostalgic VHS all time favorite videos. The den looks out through glass high ceiling windows where you can enjoy the falling snow during the winter. Not too many stairs to access the cabin. Many other cabins have too many stairs. You can explore the woods down the steps to the backyard or take your sled down during winter months. Also enjoy a 1 minute walk to charming Green Valley Lake.

The space
Need a place to get away and relax in the quiet clean mountain air.... then Green Valley Lake is the place for you and your family! Whether its our place or another local property, this peaceful and beautiful city is the right fit for you. We encourage you to come up and enjoy the community.

We have 3 bedrooms all with their own bathrooms. One bedroom has a bunk bed with a queen on the bottom. There is an extra mattress underneath in case you need it. Lots of extra blankets in the cabinets for when it gets a little chilly, but the heater works amazing! The master suite has an on room bathroom with a bathtub. The last one is downstairs with two single beds and a private room to watch TV and movies. There is also a Paw Patrol Toddler bed available and set up so the little ones have their own place to sleep if wanted. (while not noted in the bed / head count we do have a pull out couch you can use as a back up in case someone snores).

We also have the old fashion VCR / DVD combo downstairs with many classic movies. Obviously there is the modern internet TV things (i.e. Roku, Netflix, Amazon Prime?) that I don't fully understand, but sure does have a lot of options! We have Spectrum Wifi which is available to all guests.

The deck is huge compared to most and comes with a BBQ with Propane! Please have a seat and just enjoy the beauties surrounding you 😀

Another wonderful advantage to this property is the parking. We are set up to accommodate 4 vehicles which is a rare find! Access to the cabin from upstairs or downstairs. Keypad is on the upstairs to enter the cabin.

We are so close to Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead. Running Springs is just down the road. Green Valley Lake is the perfect middle ground to enjoy it all! We would love to share our beautiful cabin with you and your family!

Enjoy the house and back yard. Please be respectful of our neighbors. They are great folks that enjoy their cabins from time to time. Also please note the altitude! Sun hits you hard so wear sunscreen! You are at ~7,000 feet above sea level so there is that much less atmosphere between you and the sun! The other thing is it takes longer to cook food, and sound sure carries so be careful of how loud you are outside. Oh, and the wildlife (bears and such) will find trash so keep it stowed until you are ready to depart!

We have defaulted the check in & check out times to 10 am and 4 pm respectfully. This is simply due to the size of the home and the duration required to properly clean the house. If you would like an early check in or late check out due to your travel arrangements please don’t hesitate to ask. We are happy to accommodate as permitting.

The space
The Overlook is a 1300 square foot home nestled in the hillsides of the Green Valley Lake community. It is our home away from home and we stay there often. We have designed it for comfort, functionality, and fun for all (but NOT as a party house). The Overlook is not right next to any other houses, leaving open lots/mountain and hillside views giving you the privacy and quiet you need in escaping the chaos down below. All the furnishings have been recently purchased to create a cozy and inviting space – i.e. deep couches to sink into, soft throw blankets, new pillows of various firmness, charging stations for your i-Phone throughout the house, and new decor. We’ve installed all new lighting, sink fixtures, ceiling fans, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, lamps, shower curtains, bathroom vanity mirrors, black out curtains in the bedrooms, blackout window blinds in the window at the top of each staircase, storage cabinets, a Weber gas grill on the deck, and converted the living room fireplace to gas only. The house is professionally cleaned before any stay. We are neat and tidy people and keep things organized and clean.
Parking for 2 vehicles (only) is in front of the house, off of the road, and tandem along the retaining wall. From there, you go up a flight of stairs to enter the house on the 1st floor into the den/game room/office. This is where we have a brand-new queen sleeper sofa to sleep 2 guests. The room includes a desk (half standing desk / half sitting desk) and ergonomic office chair creating a nice office / work nook with an appropriate background for video calls and views of the hillside below as you work. You can take conference calls in this space undisturbed from the other guests upstairs. The other corner of the room is the game room complete with an Arcade 1UP video pinball machine and a second 3000 game arcade machine and a Star Wars arcade machine — as well as a foosball coffee table. In this room is a brand-new smart TV above a wall heater/fireplace for extra warmth during cold months – on top of the central heating in the house. Attached to the den is a full bath (shower, toilet and sink) for the guests that want to stay downstairs separate from anyone else. The 1st floor entry deck also includes a table and two chairs which is a great midday break spot in between conference calls or another morning coffee spot to take in the amazing hillside views.
Also on the 1st floor is the laundry/utility room complete with washer/dryer. We provide a few tide pods for your convenience as well as a drying rack for wet lake/snow clothes. There you will also find storage for lake towels for use during your stay and the table leaves to extend the dining table upstairs from 4 to 8 people. We also provide sleds to borrow in the wintertime.
Each staircase is equipped with baby gates at both the top and bottom of the stairs – keeping little ones (and dogs!) safe from the stairs.
Upstairs to the 2nd floor -- you have the living room, kitchen, dining table and dining bar/window seating (which is an alternate workspace as well, complete with a built in charging station). The gas fireplace is located in the living room and above it is a brand-new Smart TV and sound bar. There is also a half bath on this floor. A WiFi extender has been installed on the 2nd floor to make sure the internet is strong throughout the house. The storage cabinet in the living room includes board games, card games, DVD’s, toys, additional placemats, and outdoor tablecloth. The 2nd floor deck is off the living room making it convenient to take fresh cooked meals out on the deck to eat or grill on the brand-new Weber gas grill. We provide propane for typical weekend stays. The deck has plenty of lighting to enjoy before 10pm. The kitchen is stocked with: a Full size refrigerator and freezer (no ice maker but cube trays provided), gas oven and 4 burner stove, microwave, coffee maker and filters, air fryer, blender, toaster, waffle maker, crock pot, full set of cookware and cutlery, serving platters, flatware, and dishes, wine and cocktail glasses, kids plastic dishes and flatware, bottle warmer, wine and bottle openers, wine savers, cooking spray, olive oil, full spice rack, garlic salt, various seasonings (Lawry’s, Montreal, taco… just to name a few), and salt and pepper.
Up to the 3rd floor – with a portable air conditioner in each bedroom during summer months!! - you will find the two bedrooms – the master with a Cal King bed and the second bedroom with a twin over full bunk bed (perfect room for kids to sleep in). We like that the bunk room is close to the master but are two complete separate bedrooms for quiet. You can tuck in the kids at night and retreat down to the den/game room, or second floor living room/deck, for a movie or card game without disturbing anyone. The bunk room has toys and books as well as extra room to play or plenty of floor space to put your very little one in their travel crib (Sorry, we do not provide you with one). You can read in the oversized chair in the window nook as well. Each bedroom is equipped with a Smart TV and DVD player – and the Bunk Room also has an Amazon Fire Stick installed for Netflix, Prime, etc. We also have a Wii and games in this room.
This floor has the “master bath” – which includes a bathtub, toilet and sink. We also provide small travel size toiletries for both the 1st and 3rd floor bathrooms (shampoo, conditioner, bath wash, body lotion, and soap).
Each floor is equipped with a fire extinguisher stored in hand crafted boxes as well as smoke alarms in every room and a carbon monoxide detector on every floor.
Given the house is relatively new – its double paned windows and well-constructed walls/doors make the cabin easy to heat and keep cozy in cooler months. In warmer times, the location boasts for a great mountain breeze for natural A/C and we’ve installed ceiling fans in each room to make sure guests are comfortable. Recently we added a portable A/C in each bedroom upstairs for extra comfort.
Lastly – as mentioned above – this is NOT a party house. It is our second home where we spend a lot of time with our small children. We hope you will treat it as if it was your own.

The entire cabin is available to guests. Parking for two vehicles (only) is in front of the house, off the road, and tandem along the retaining wall. Walking is the best way to experience the area. However, if you want to go to the beach/lake for awhile with young kids, it may be best to take the few minute drive down to the lake for convenience as it is a hilly walk home.

We have a current permit with the county and are compliant with all county rules for a short-term rental.

We are only permitted for 6 guests (2 years old or older- infants don’t count towards this) and will not accommodate more guests. Groups that show up with more than this will be asked to leave.

Please include pet requests in your booking comments. As noted in the house rules - a fee of $50 PER STAY. We limit the size of small dogs to 50 pounds and under and a total number of two dogs in total per stay. Please confirm the number of dogs you would like to bring.

Fees for one-day or multi-day use swimming passes are posted on the GVL Recreation website and can be purchased at the GVL boathouse. The Lake is open for fishing until it freezes over again - make sure to get your fishing license. Fees for fishing access (one-day or multi-day) are posted on the GVL Recreation website. You can find water use rentals and fishing licenses at the GVL boathouse and the general store. Only homeowners can have their boats on the lake. Guests can rent row boats, pedal boards, kayaks, and SUP boards. The Lake generally opens for recreational use Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend.

The space
Tucked beneath towering pines, this authentic log cabin—built in 2010—offers the perfect blend of rustic mountain character and modern ease. With central heat and A/C, fast WiFi, a full kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, and newer furnishings, you’ll feel right at home from the moment you arrive.

Pull into the circular driveway with space for three cars—and even an EV charger for your convenience. Step inside and take in the vaulted wood-beam ceilings, open floor plan, and the warm glow of natural wood all around. A charming spiral staircase leads to a cozy loft, while the main living space invites you to curl up in a recliner and stream your favorite shows on the smart TV.

On the main level, two private bedrooms (one queen, one full) offer plush beds and soft linens for a restful night’s sleep. The master includes a second smart TV. Upstairs, the open loft doubles as a fun game room and extra sleeping space—with books, board games, and an electric piano that guests of all ages love.

Close to Big Bear, Snow Valley and Lake Arrowhead. This 1940's cabin offers modern amenities while maintaining a rustic ambiance. The perfect balance of rustic charm.

A short five minute stroll to the lake. You will find plenty of activities (fishing, swimming seasonal, hiking, etc.) to keep you busy or you can sit back, relax and enjoy nature.

Book now for the wonderful winter and fall weather. Come with your groceries and you wont have to leave. Fully stocked coffee bar cozy two bedroom cabin in the national forest picture perfect scenery. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the view on the deck. Only eight minute walk to beautiful Green Valley lake that offers fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, and boating in the summer. Plenty of parking for three cars in driveway no street parking.

The space
The family Cabin the perfect getaway for all the seasons. The cabin is two bedrooms one bath. One queen bed in the master room and two full beds in the second room. Kitchen and Livingroom are an open floor plan. Has a beautiful gas fireplace comfortable leather furniture, a fully stocked coffee bar, and plenty of board games for families or friends to enjoy. The outside has a lighted deck with a beautiful view, a full size propane barbeque, and propane firepit, with plenty of seating.

Guests have access to the entire cabin. The lake is open from Memorial weekend and closes October 31 depending on weather.

Other things to note
Please take all trash out and secure with straps in the trashcans provided outside.

The lake for swimming and boating is seasonal and is open from Memorial weekend through the end of October.
Winter months:
During winter months please drive and walk with caution deck, stairs, walkways, driveway and roads may be slippery.
We will have snow shovels and salt for you to use.
You are required to carry tire chains in your vehicle when traveling in mountain communities during winter months.
Please only park in our driveway if you block the road you may get a ticket or your vehicle towed.

Complimentary use of snowplay sleds and snowball maker. We will snowplow the driveway for your arrival. Check weather conditions and roads as chains or 4WD may be required.

Original 1960's mid century modern cabin with stunning redwood T&G siding inside and out. High ceilings and unique stacked windows.
Warm inviting living room with wood burning fireplace to relax by with a great book looking out at the Fir trees.
Smart TV's (living room and bedrooms) with Roku to stream Netflix, HBO max, Plex, Amazon Prime, Disney+
Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook. Bedrooms equipped with memory foam mattresses and cozy jersey sheets. Two queen sized beds, one bedroom has no window.
Central heating and air conditioning in the home works great along with the individual bedroom faux fire heaters. Fans available too.
Large deck to enjoy with outdoor dining and bbq.
BRING YOUR OWN DURA FLAME OR FIREWOOD during the colder months. It's also available at the GVL general store.

Other Rules:
No parties
No use of Deck after 10pm
No food in bedrooms
No flushing of paper towels or feminine products down toilets
Leave used towels in laundry
Leave beds used unmade so cleaner knows which sheets and cases to clean
Remove food from fridge
Remove your trash and recyclables to trash cans outside
Turn down thermostat to 50 degrees at check out and do not exceed 70 degrees during stay. Our electric bills sky rocket during the winter months.

Other things to note
GVL has the highest elevation out of the other mountains at 7000 ft so it does get snow! You may need a 4WD or snow chains!!!
There will be no special refund due to weather conditions.
We will snow plow the driveway for your arrival but then after that you are responsible. (can either shovel yourself or use our contact for $50)
Do not park on the street as you may be snow plowed in.
