There is something wild about this place. This is where Zane Gray may have written one of his books in the unique southwest. Vincent Van Gough may have chosen to paint the starry night & the cliffs in 7 different shades here if he had lived in America. Sunrises & sunsets from this private balcony, your living room, bedroom, bathroom will take your breath away! We want to share it with those who love art & writing.

The space
It is full of indigenous arts & collections (baskets, Navajo rugs. potteries, paintings, books, wood carvings, wall hangings, beaded necklaces, Etc.) from Native America, the pacific islands, and around the world. It is a bit of an art gallery! Don't worry- it is okay to pick up and touch.

It feels like it is in the middle of nowhere, and yet it is only a few short blocks to Downtown, Camp Verde, where you can visit the restaurants, coffee shops, antique stores, and museum Our Cliff View Home is near the Verde River and Clear Creek, which runs right through this green valley.

Montezuma Castle is only five miles away. There are hiking and mountain bike trails nearby. The red rocks of Sedona are only 27 miles away. There are ancient cliff cave dwellings just down the road less than 10 minutes from here.

You will pass an old unkempt house and an overgrown field before you get to our Cliff View Casita, but this is holistic - life is not perfect! I can not apologize for someone else's messy place or their fields. But, once you turn into our street, a stunning view will open before you!

Kids stay free. However, it may be best to book downstairs if you're concerned about many artifacts being handled by your kids or the high balcony.

Other things to note
Our home is close to Camp Verde downtown and Fort Verde State Park & the historic Hance house. You can easily walk around the town and visit this old cowboy town that dates back to 1870. Plus, we have the Yavapai Apache tribal headquarters and Cliff Castle Casino 3 miles away which periodically has cultural events.

Since Camp Verde sits right in the center of Arizona like a donut hole- you can drive to Sedona, Prescott, Jerome, Strawberry and Pine in about 30-45 minutes and the mountain town of Flagstaff or Payson in about an hour. The magnificent Grand Canyon is only about 2 hours north of us. The uniquely beautiful public library, farms and orchards are just down the hill where you can buy fresh corn, watermelons and other vegetables and fruit. (Please check out "Guidebook- there in "Millie's Guidebook"- you will see all my favorite places for you to visit.)

There is something "wild" about this place - such beauty and serenity here!

The space
This Casita has such an amazing view (I hope you think so too), overlooking mesquite trees and cliffs that stand over the Verde River valley. The views are visible from the bedroom window and through the French doors of your own living room and there's private outdoor seating on the veranda patio area, where you can enjoy cold drinks in summer or hot tea or hot chocolate in winter. Welcome nature lovers, perhaps you'll get a visit from the javelinas, a bunny rabbit, or a roadrunner!

This unit is all downstairs; we, as hosts, live upstairs. This Casita has a bedroom with a king size bed, a private bathroom, living room, a kitchenette (not a full kitchen- has a small refriger/ freezer, a rice maker, a coffee maker, microwave oven, convection oven, electric water heater, plates, bowls, utensils Etc. & Barbeque grill out on the patio. There's no sink to wash dishes except in the bathroom (dish rack and soap under sink). We are sorry that there's no sink for the dishes, but we know some guests really appreciate at least having the option to prepare simple meals with some basic cooking items. We have many who cook almost all the meals here or barbeque every night. If you don't want to wash dishes, you'd need to bring your own disposable plates & cups just like at a motel.

You may hear some noise from upstairs once in a while as we need to live and breathe. We really try to keep our noise down as much as possible. Most of our guests say it is very quiet here. But, if you think not, let's work together to make this a win-win situation! We don't mind if you call or text me, and I will also let you know if you may have music too loud or something. It is unrealistic to think that you will hear no sound at all.

Our central heating/ cooling is difficult because everyone is different, but most people have said the temperature was just right. when it is too warm down there, then it gets too hot upstairs. Yikes- it is not easy to try to please everyone.

- "This property is nicely tucked out of the way. It is cozy and well-decorated. It is a shame I didn't have more time just to hang out at the place. I will consider it my first choice when booking my next trip back to the Verde Valley." - "This is a cozy little place with a serene yet energetic view of the nearby cliffs. It is tucked away so it feels secluded. While it is not "updated", it is decorated well and has many amenities. The bed is super comfortable! It has a little "kitchen" area which is ok for reheating food or making simple dishes. As it says in the listing, there is no stove nor kitchen sink. Probably the most challenging part of the stay is washing dishes in the bathroom sink, but it is doable. The upstairs unit is also a rental (Millie and Tom live next door) and you do hear noise from the renters, so if you are looking for complete silence, this might not work for you. It didn't bother me. The price point is really unbeatable, especially on VRBO which doesn't have as high fees as it's competitors. Millie is very sweet and I wish that I had had more time to chat with her about her life. I would stay here again."

The newly renovated studio has a king size brand new Sealy mattress, shower bathroom. The kitchenette includes a full size refrigerator, sink, counter top stove, counter top oven, Keurig coffee maker and various utensils, dishes, glassware and cookware for guest use. Coffee, tea, sugar and stevia are provided.
Guest access
You'll have access to the studio with a completely autonomous entry and parking. There's a private seating area right up front, and a patio with a propane fireplace, shared with other guests.

Well behaved pets, under 20 lb, allowed only. Must agree to pet fee added to your stay at the time of check in. In case any extensive cleaning is needed additional charges will be applied via Airbnb.

Very charming old ranch house in Camp Verde AZ. Two bedrooms and two baths. Sleeper sofa and futon. On the front veranda you can set a spell and watch the grass grow. Wide open back patio with bar-b-que, smoker and fire pit - perfect place to talk about the day's adventures with your favorite libation. Games, books and magazines - Take time to relax. With the barn and pasture, you can bring your horses. Nearby trails. Roping arena just up the road. And there is soooo much to do nearby!

Our economy suites are intended to be a no frills, economical stay for those wanting to enjoy the Verde Valley, Sedona, and surrounding areas and do so with economy, safety, and comfort in mind. It is expected that guests will spend more time away from the accommodations enjoying the outdoor beauty that this area has to offer and return to a safe, comfortable, bed at the end of the day. Your comfort and joy are important to the owner. You can expect little interaction with the owner unless you have needs. There are 2 loving orange tabby cats on premise which are not allowed in the upstairs guest area. Below are some guidelines and information intended for you and other guests to maximize the joy of your stay:

Notification: Please call or text me at 480.258.0795 to let me know when you are 30 minutes from arrival.

Getting there: The address is 585 E. Calle De La Rosa in Camp Verde AZ 86322. We are about 15 minutes and 11 miles from the intersection of I-17 & SR260 or less if you are coming North on I17 an d Exit General Crook Road. Go East on SR260 past the first turn-about and past the first stop light at Finney Flats to the second right at Oasis-at this point you are about 4 miles away. Continue on Oasis as it wraps around to Salt Mine Road. Turn right and go anther 3 miles passing gorgeous horse properties just past East Vista Drive and look for a large white mailbox on the left-that Calle De La Rosa. Turn left and go to the end of the gravel road about 500 feet to Wine Country Oasis.

Parking: All parking is in the front area of the main home. There are 2 spaces on the West-the one on th right is reserved for the Main AirBnB guests (please do not park here) and so the one on the left looking West is for either Economy guest. Overflow would be parking in front just past the front entrance. Please park to the far right to allow use of the circle as possible and PLEASE STAY ON THE RED BRICK DRIVE SO AS NOT TO DAMAGE SPRINKLERS.

Door Access: All guest access is through the front door only. There is a keypad lock-I will text or mail the code combination before you arrive. I change it often for security purposes. To enter, type in the 4-digit code provided and turn the lock knob counterclockwise to unlock and press the thumb rekease. Upon entering and unloading your items please always lock the door for your security and everyone else’s and PLEASE do not let the cats out. We are located in a safe, country area and have never experienced any safety issues however safety first always! When exiting, please enter the 4 digit key code and turn the lock clockwise to lock and verify that the door is locked behind you. Please never leave the front door unlocked.

Fourier: I prefer that my guests all remove their shoes once in the house (unless you otherwise have a medical or safety concern). Please leave shoes and jackets at the racks provided at the front door. Guests are strictly limited to the Fourier and upstairs areas only. Guests are not allowed any other access in the owner’s areas of the house. Slippers and sweaters are recommend for cold weather months as everyone needs for temperature is different.

Cooking and food preparation: Wine Country Oasis Economy suites are not intended for guest cooking however, there is a small refrigerator, hot water kettle, blender, and toaster oven for light guest use. Please monitor carefully so as not to burn food causing smoke alarms or discomfort to other guests. Please, no noxious foods. There is no microwave. Please plan to enjoy your meals out with snacks in or light breakfasts using available items. Owner has provided disposable plates, cups, and cutlery if needed. Please be considerate of others and clean up after yourself at all times and do not leave your personal items in the common areas.

Washer and Dryer Use-no washer or dryer use is available for economy guests unless long term and by prior special arrangement.

Local Shopping and restaurants: Camp Verde has a Basha’s Grocery Store (on Finney Flats), nice restaurants and several chain restaurants, a few bars, Casino, Wineries (2 nearby), bakery, massage, barbers, etc. nearby. You can easily Google these or ask the owner for recommendations.

Hiking and Outdoor Fun: Camp Verde, Sedona, and the surrounding Verde Valley has a lot to offer in terms of outdoor fun from sightseeing, hiking, mountain biking, river kayaking, hot air ballon rides, wineries, art, Out-of Africa, Zip Lines, and more. Some if it is seasonal and some affected by covid so please do your own research to plan your trip for maximum joy.

Rules for Comfort and Enjoyment: Because the two upstairs private rooms are intended to be shared by more than one party at a time in a common living space, guests are asked to be courteous to others limiting sources of noise (phone ring tones, loud conversation, etc. Quiet times are 9PM to 6 AM. The owner works from home on premise and so can be expected to conduct virtual (ZOOM) business meetings anytime between 8 AM-5PM. Owner may also have personal guests over but will also observe the same quiet hour policy. Please do not adjust the temperature thermostat in the hallway-if adjustments are needed then let owner know . There are extra blankets in the hall closed as needed. Small area heaters can be provided as requested.

Common Bathroom Consideration: As the Private Rooms will share a full bath, please do not leave personal items in the bathroom and please keep this area very clean, neat, and fresh for consideration of others. Please be considerate of others when taking showers as it could take awhile to heat the water between users. The house in on a septic and water well systems and so please nothing in the toilets except TP (no feminine products please!). There are extra towels and TP in the hall closet.

Other Accessible Areas: Guests are allowed to use the front deck and barista table for relaxation, limited food, and wine with sunsets. I do have a mini-bbq for guest use if desired. If the guests would like use of the backyard please let the owner know and he will show you how to access.

Check-in and Check-out: As per the AirBnB advertisement, check-in is 5-9 PM and check-out is before 11 AM unless otherwise approved in advance by owner.

Guest access
Guests may access the upstairs loft area through the main front entrance and also have access to the backyard grassy area and the neighborhood for nice walks in the country, and the nearby Verde River.

During your stay
The owner is very sociable and is available as needed by guests but also respects the quiet and privacy needs of guests.

This “Cliff View Casita” is the kind of place where Zane Gray would have written one of his books in the unique Southwest. We have glorious cliff views with sunsets and sunrises, which will take your breath away. It is where Vincent Van Gogh may have chosen to paint the starry night and the wheat field in seven different shades if he had lived in America. There is something "wild" about this place - such beauty and serenity here!

The space
This Casita has such an amazing view (I hope you think so too), overlooking mesquite trees and cliffs that stand over the Verde River valley. The views are visible from the bedroom window and through the French doors of your own living room and there's private outdoor seating on the veranda patio area, where you can enjoy cold drinks in summer or hot tea or hot chocolate in winter. Welcome nature lovers, perhaps you'll get a visit from the javelinas, a bunny, a fox, rabbit, or a roadrunner!

You may hear some noise from upstairs once in a while as people need to live and breathe. Most of our guests are considerate & quiet. But, if you think not, let's work together to make this a win-win situation! We don't mind if you call or text me, and I will also let you know if you may have music too loud or something. It is unrealistic to think that you will hear no sound at all.

Our central heating/ cooling is difficult because everyone is different, but most people have said the temperature was just right. when it is too warm down there, then it gets too hot upstairs. Yikes- it is not easy to try to please everyone.

You will pass an old unkempt house and an overgrown field before you get to our Cliff View Casita, but this is holistic - life is not perfect!  I can not apologize for someone else's messy place or their fields. But, once you turn into our street, a stunning view will open before you!

The space
My home is just a 1/4 mile off of Main Street by Fort Verde State Park. Entering the home feels like a spacious open studio with a soft, harmonious flow. You will notice the amazing view of the garden through the large kitchen window with the most amazing views May-October.

After entering, the Goddess Suite is to your right. The dining room, living room and kitchen are central.

There are plenty of seating areas in the living space to relax. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, organic-oils, vinegars, herbs, spices, coffee, tea, dairy & non-dairy creamers and healthy sweeteners. I don’t provide a microwave, but there is a toaster & toaster oven. I also don’t provide a TV, but you can watch the nature channel out back featuring birds, hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, and dragonflies :)

The back patio is very spacious with plenty of room to sit in peace and take in the surrounding beauty and sounds of the garden.

Guest access
The Goddess Suite with its private bathroom, Kitchen, Living Room & Dining Rooms are accessible. The third bedroom is my Spa Treatment room. If you are interested in booking and enjoying a massage, natural facial treatment, or spa treatment during your stay, please don't hesitate to reach out in advance to book a treatment.

Other things to note
This is a shared stay with me and my 2 indoor 10 month old kittens, Jade & Jasmine. They share the common areas, and are always kept out of the Goddess Suite. They are extremely playful, sweet and affectionate.

Please be mindful by keeping noise to a minimum after 9pm to respect the quiet nature of the home & neighborhood.

I use only natural, chemical free products in and around the house. Please try to use natural products or what is available.

The washer/dryer is available for longer term stays (7 nights+)

Our little 2.5 acre farm is truly a slice of paradise in the heart of Arizona! We raise American Wagyu cattle for fresh beef and have free-range chickens for fresh eggs.
In addition to the chickens, you will see wild ducks roaming the property, waiting for their morning and evening treats. In the winter, you can witness large flocks of Canadian Geese landing on the pond next door!
Relax in the double-seated log swing next to the irrigation ditch and enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise or a cocktail in the evenings while watching the ducks and chickens.
Kayak drop-in is only 1 mile away at the Clear Creek Fishing Site and there are multiple hiking trails nearby!
A short 45 minute drive will take you to either Sedona or Jerome, or if you want to stay local, you can visit Montezuma's Castle, Out of Africa Wildlife Park or Cliff Castle Casino in Camp Verde. Mortimer Farm in Dewey is a quick 30 minute drive away! In the winter, you can drive an hour in three different directions to go play in the snow!
There are so many things to see and do! The Verde Valley is truly the most beautiful and perfect place to visit in Arizona!

The pod is equipped with a heated blanket during the colder season, but also recommend you bring a beanie and to dress appropriately.

The fire pit is shared amongst all of the guests as well as the tree circle. During the fire ban season, we do not allow the use of the fire pit.

If you need a package delivered during your stay, the closest Post Office is on Finnie Flat Rd by Walgreens. We do not allow guests to send packages and mail to our private address.

When not touring neighboring towns and attractions enjoy playing mini golf on our whimsical granite putting course, roast marshmallows at fire pit on cold evenings, take long walks or explore the neighborhood on bicycles. There is something wild about this place and yet so serene. This is where Zane Gray, Tony Hillerman, may have written one of their books in the unique southwest. Vincent Van Gough may have chosen to paint the starry night and the cliffs in 7 different shades here if he had lived in America. Sunrises & sunsets from every place - the balcony, living room, bedroom, and bathroom will take your breath away!
(This is only upstairs with your own balcony. Casita is another unit downstairs for others).

The space
It is full of indigenous arts & collections (baskets, Navajo rugs. potteries, paintings, books, wood carvings, wall hangings, beaded necklaces, Etc.) from Native America, the Pacific islands, and around the world. It is an art gallery! come and enjoy this beautiful space - it may be once in a lifetime dream. Don't worry - it is okay to pick up and touch.

This space is for a family or close friends who don't mind being seen in their pajamas if you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night - only 1 bathroom in the bedroom. This is no different than going to a motel with 2 beds, except much more beautiful!

It feels like it is in the middle of nowhere, and yet it is only a few short blocks to Downtown, Camp Verde, where you can visit the restaurants, coffee shops, antique stores, and museum. Cliff View Hacirnda is near the Verde River and Clear Creek, which runs right through this green valley.

Neighborhood
You will pass an old unkempt house and an overgrown field before you get to our Cliff View Casita, but this is holistic - life is not perfect!  I can not apologize for someone else's messy place or their fields. But, once you turn into our street, a stunning view will open before you!

Kids stay free. However, it may be best to book downstairs if you're concerned about many artifacts being handled by your kids or the high balcony.

Other things to note
Since Camp Verde sits right in the center of Arizona like a donut hole- you can drive to Sedona, Prescott, Jerome, Strawberry and Pine in about 30-45 minutes and the mountain town of Flagstaff or Payson in about an hour. The magnificent Grand Canyon is only about 2 hours north of us. The uniquely beautiful public library, farms and orchards are just down the hill where you can buy fresh corn, watermelons, and other vegetables and fruit. (Please check out "Guidebook- there in "Millie's Guidebook"- you will see all my favorite places for you to visit.)

Our home is close to Camp Verde downtown and Fort Verde State Park & the historic Hance house. You can easily walk around the town and visit this old cowboy town that dates back to 1870.

Montezuma Castle is only five miles away. There are hiking and mountain bike trails nearby. The red rocks of Sedona are only 27 miles away. There are ancient cliff cave dwellings just down the road less than 10 minutes from here.

Deer and coyotes roam freely. The White Hills are a short walk to the North where there are quite a few hiking trails. The Verde River, which supplies our abundant green, is also close by.

Cabin 94 is equip with a small pullout couch. The size is best for kids. You must request permission to use pullout for linens to be supplied and pay a small cleaning fee of $25. This beautiful home is a 3 Bedroom home located in a quiet neighborhood in Camp Verde. The house sits on the "Cliffs" of Camp Verde allowing the observer to enjoy spectacular views from the backyard. The neighborhood has walk-way paths to enjoy other scenic areas. The house, beddings, and backyard were designed as a comfortable and relaxing get away from a busy life. We are located minutes from Sedona, 1/2 mile from the Verde river, very close to Arizona's finest wineries.

The space
The home has three spacious bedrooms and a generous living room to relax. The master suite has a relaxing tub and shower and a large walk in closet. The second bedroom has a private bathroom next to the bedroom. The third bedroom has twin beds great for children. The kitchen has everything you need to make breakfast or dinner.

Classic 1950s ranch house located in the heart of Arizona. The property sits along the banks of Beaver Creek and The Verde River with access for water play or fishing. A walking trail meanders through Ash, Cottonwood, and Sycamores.
Begin your day with a cup of coffee and a sunrise from the backyard or screened porch. Then head out for your day of adventure; trail riding, hiking, sight seeing, antiquing, or visiting local farm stands. End your day with views of a sunset from the front porch.

The space
Guests will find a fun mix of old and new. The updated kitchen has the original mid-century metal cabinets. There you will find all the equipment you need to make a home cooked meal. Some basic spices and condiments are provided as well as a selection of teas and coffee. And if cooking is not your thing you are within walking distance to local dining.

Both spacious bedrooms have king size beds and their own adjustable heat/AC source. There is a sofa sleeper off the dining room that can be made semi-private with the use of a room divider. There is also a futon that can accommodate a smaller person. The larger of the two bathrooms is original retro pink and green complete with a Cinderella tub perfect for soaking in.

Other things to note
This is a great space for families but parents are strongly warned about the need for vigilant supervision, especially the little guys. Although the yard is fenced, not all fencing is tall and gates are easily opened. The water danger is high and therefore not recommended for children who can't swim. In addition this is an older house and not child proofed.

This property sits adjacent to a small and quiet RV park. The driveway and the areas along the waterway are shared.

The Guest House is part of a residence complex together with the main house, and another studio unit for guests.

The Guest House is a stand alone unit, recently updated. The Setup is an open concept with one room setup as a dedicated office space with a very nice desk and comfy chair. The other sleeping area with a King size bed shares the space with the full kitchen and dining table. There's a split unit and an electric fireplace - that has a "Heat and No Heat" Option for a cozy ambiance.

A 4k smart TV where you can connect to your streaming accounts.

All mattresses are brand new "Sealy", perfect for a good night sleep to recharge after a day of exploring.

The full kitchen has a refrigerator, stove with oven and Keurig coffee maker.

Full Bathroom has a shower/bathtub combination, sink and toilet.

You'll have full access to the Guest House. The patio includes seating area and propane fireplace. This space might be shared with other guests that might be staying at the studio (two guests maximum).

Guests will have access to the entire property starting at 4:00pm the day of check in. This area is a quiet, serene community in which only a small number of homes are rentals. Noise carries easily. We ask that you please be mindful of this and courteous to our neighbors. Quiet hours begin at 10pm. NO parties allowed.

Other things to note
While the exterior porch and furniture are cleaned after each stay, seasonal weather, native plants, and pollen may cause some natural debris. A broom and basic cleaning supplies are provided for your convenience.

Occupancy is limited to 6 guests
No parties or smoking in or around the property. Violations will result in fines and forfeiture of stay with no refund.
