It was so close to the Redwoods and we spent lots of time hiking, which we loved. The redwoods were just so beautiful- it was our first time seeing them. We got to walk to the beach numerous times, which is just up the street and less than a five minute walk. The views from the observation room were great-loved seeing the seals every morning and exploring the tide pools at low tide. Crescent City is a small town, but had everything we needed and the property was just great. We like cooking our own meals and the kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils, and even some spices and other things that you need. There were also some great restaurants in town. Beth was a great communicator and responded quickly to any questions I had throughout the whole process. She also had a really comprehensive set of resources on site of things to explore in the area. Instructions for check in and check out were very clearly communicated. We would definitely love to return at some point in the future. What a great location and a great experience!"

Our home is located on a quiet street surrounded by beautiful Redwood trees. There is access to the Coastal Redwood forest or our local beaches just 5 minutes from our home. For the fishing enthusiast there is world class Salmon and Steelhead fishing just 15 minutes away. (Salmon Oct-Dec) (Steelhead Dec-April)

The space
The room is located in the back of our home off of our little home gym. The bathroom is our guest bathroom, it is not connected directly to guest room. You will have to pass through the house to access the bathroom. (We typically only have one guest at a time)

The space
The downstairs Room 1 bedroom features a queen-size bed, and a Magnavox Smart TV. You have 2 windows that provide a great view of the ocean. The queen bed has cozy Belgian Linen or Cotton sheets. We launder our sheets and towels with Earth Breeze fragrance-free laundry sheets and clean with Young Living - Thieves Essential oil household cleaner. The pillows on the queen are "My Pillow" one medium, one firm, and we have a variety of extra sleeping pillows so please ask to get one that works for you. We want you to get a good night's sleep. The room also has an additional wall heater in case you get cold. Enjoy your meals while viewing the ocean waves and sunsets from the upstairs unobstructed view.

Guest access
You can access the upstairs balcony, full kitchen, dining, and living room. During the rainy season, the balcony will be wet so be cautious if you go out on the deck.

Private room in a new house I purchased 2 yrs ago. Right between Crescent City and Brookings. Perfect for traveling professionals being 15 minutes away from Sutter Hospital. 13 minutes from the prison. Perfect for fisherman, 10 minutes from 3 major rivers and 30 from a few more. Brookings is only 10 minutes away with convenient shopping, good restaurants, and no sales tax. This is a safe, clean, and quiet alternative to motels.

The space
I just bought a new house in Smith River and i occupy one of the rooms. There are 2 other rooms i rent to travelling professionals and they share a bathroom. I just bought a Dozier chair that folds out into a single bed. This room can accommodate people who need a separate sleeping space from their travel partner.The house is situated near the 101 highway between Brookings oregon and Crescent city California. 13 miles from the prison and excellently located for traveling professionals. The whole house. Kitchen, laundry, yard, bathroom. I am in the master with my chihuahuas. The other rooms are across the living room from me along with the shared bathroom. I have a semi circular driveway so we can all be out of each other's way with our cars.

During your stay
I am a retired veterinary technician. I just bought this brand new house 3 yrs ago.I am renting out two of the rooms in the house. I will be coming and going doing my usual day to day stuff but available if needed .

Other things to note
I am a first time host. Be gentle! I have spare blankets and new clean towels in each closet. In the kitchen, feel free to make coffee and cook yourself something. I have plates,bowls, cutlery, and a pot and frying pan. I ask that you not cook anything in grease as it gets in the air and settles in the carpet as a permanent smell. The beds and mattresses are brand new. If your pet sleeps with you .please use a blanket under them. All pet guests must be approved by me prior to booking. I have a 6 lb dog with an autoimmune disorder that cannot be around fleas or happy puppies pawing at him. So its a case by case basis but i can work with everyone and see to their pets needs as well in most cases. Each room has a lock and a key. There is a $50 charge for lost keys.
My cancelation policy is strict because I just bought this house and have a mortgage. When I get a long term booking I tend to make a house payment. That makes refunding difficult for me. Three months during the summer is when I tend to get bookings.

Getting here -- the road coming in is just a forestry road -- thousands use it ever year without mention. It's incidental. But you may notice some will comment about it being scary for them. It's in the mountains (1000 ft elevation to 1500 ft) so steep terrain, gravel roads. Any vehicle gets here fine (no 4wd needed). So if you're a city city person OR you might be scared of mountainous forestry roads, better to book a motel six in town.

Situated on an elevated bluff our home offers spectacular ocean views from every room in the house. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets and a very short walk to the beach to enjoy beach combing, bird watching, surf fishing, surfing, seasonal whale watching, and more. You will be able to fall asleep as you hear the background sound of the surf. Be sure to come upstairs to enjoy your favorite beverage and the million-dollar view!

The space
The downstairs 2nd bedroom features two queen-size beds and a Roku TV. You have 4 windows that provide a great view of the beach and ocean. The queen beds have cozy Belgian Linen or Cotton sheets. The pillows on the queen are "My Pillow" one medium, one firm, and we have a variety of extra sleeping pillows so please ask to get one that works for you. We want you to get a good night's sleep. We launder our sheets and towels with Earth Breeze fragrance-free laundry sheets and clean with Young Living - Thieves Essential oil household cleaner. The room also has an additional wall heater in case you get cold. Enjoy your meals while viewing the ocean waves and sunsets from the upstairs unobstructed view.

Guest access
Downstairs rooms share a bathroom with a shower. All rooms have smart TV's. You can access the upstairs balcony, full kitchen, dining, and living room. During the rainy season, the balcony will be wet so be cautious if you go out on the deck.

Nestled beside the main house on our peaceful 2-acre Fort Dick property, the camper offers morning coffee views of towering redwoods, giant old-growth stumps, and lush ferns. Just 4.6 miles to the beach, with Wi-Fi, smart TV, and private parking. Pets welcome — must be cat friendly.

The space
Step into a peaceful country retreat on our quiet 2-acre property in Fort Dick, just minutes from Redwood National and State Parks and the beach. Your cozy 19 ft glamping camper is nestled beside our main house, surrounded by towering redwood trees on neighboring land, lush ferns, and giant old-growth stumps that feel straight out of a fairytale.

Inside, you’ll find a queen-size memory foam bed plus a small fold-down single bed (for children up to 100 lbs). The kitchen is equipped with a stovetop, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, freezer, and dual sinks (oven not functional). Coffee, sugar, and creamer are provided.

A small full bathroom with an RV toilet and shower is included, stocked with fresh sanitized towels and linens between every guest. Please note the RV water heater provides 5–10 minutes of hot water.

Outside, relax on the covered patio or gather at the picnic area to soak up the forest atmosphere. Parking for two cars is available on-site.

Pet-friendly (pets must be cat-friendly). Smoking is allowed outdoors only, with trailer windows and doors closed.

We are actively improving the property through seasonal tree removal and landscaping projects during late winter/spring, so you may notice occasional daytime noise or see us tending the grounds.

Guest access
Guests have access to the trailer and area under carport, the cleared area directly behind the carport, and the gravel parking area to the right of the carport. Please do not explore the forest as you can cross into neighboring property. Please respect the privacy of our neighbors.

Best suited for 2 adults and 1 child.

During the winter months, we get A LOT of rain and wind. Please be aware that limbs and debris may fall from the redwoods and the power could go out for 1-6 hours during big storms. The redwoods can also fall during these storms. So please note that if a strong storm system is coming in we may ask that you cancel for a full refund for your safety. The host is not responsible for any damages due to weather. Will not refund for weather unless a weather event has a major impact on the area.

Toilet use instructions.
RV toilets do not operate like traditional home toilets. They use very little water and must be used differently to avoid clogs. Please follow these instructions to prevent a clog during your stay. ONLY flush small amounts of toilet paper at a time. No other toilet paper products can be flushed other than the toilet paper provided

Step 1- Press the foot pedal halfway to fill the bowl with some water (fill about halfway)

Step 2- do your potty business

Step 3- flush the toilet by holding the foot pedal ALL THE WAY DOWN for 5 seconds.

Our property boarders Pelican Bay State Prison. You can not see the prison but you can hear the yard speakers, range practice, and sometimes music. It’s mostly quiet, but you can hear it at times.
