The project was started by the home's original owner, an avid antique collector, and completed in 2024 by your hosts.

Inside, the combination bedroom and sitting room are highlighted by the enormous reclaimed farmhouse windows. A queen memory-foam mattress is set high, with storage draws under the frame, one for each occupant. A standing clothes is rack is available for your shirts and dresses.

Next is the kitchen, a large slop sink is perfect for artists needing to clean their brushes, the fridge includes a freezer for longer stays, and an induction cook eye is available for those meals that can't be prepared in the convection toaster/air fryer or microwave.

The bathroom includes towels and a walk-in shower. A small utility closet hides your full length mirror, and don't forget to flip the switch to enjoy your beautiful custom stained glass window!

Welcome to this well appointed and charming first floor 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit. Perfect for 2 people who want to be in a perfect location close to everything in Richmond. The unit features a full kitchen, private bathroom, personal entrance, shared laundry room with the unit above via locked door, covered porch with table and chairs for morning coffee, on street parking or off street parking accessed via alley, Keurig coffee maker (limited coffee supplied), heated pulsating foot massager, hair dryer, ironing board and iron, dishes, linens and towels, tv with basic cable, WIFI and a new queen mattress. Originally built in 1948 by a soldier for his family and Mother-in-law (this unit was for her) this home has been well kept and has an open yard. Westover Hills is an extremely active neighborhood with walkers and bikers passing by. You can walk or bike to Buttermilk Trail and James River Park where you have miles of off road and/or paths. Walk to local eateries and coffee shops. Just over the bridge to Maymont and Carytown. Minutes from downtown, VCU, U of R and the Museums. Lets not forget the Saturday morning South of the James farmers market! Not to be missed! No pets. Well behaved children welcome. No smoking on premises. Limited to 2 adults. There is a keypad for entry that will be programed per stay with no need to schedule a meeting or find a key. Come and go as you like. Very flexible with check in and out as long no there are no same day bookings.

The park pics I included are some of my favorite places in Forest Hill Park and the James River Park System. Forest Hill Park is about a mile away and The James River Park is about a half mile away and runs for miles.
