- "Cool area and awesome hosts! " - "This was our first stay in Buckroe and I was so happy to find a place close to the beach and near our family who were also staying in the area. It is the lower level of a renovated house so while there was someone above us we didn’t really notice. The condo was the perfect size for my family of four (two young kids, two adults). Two bedrooms ensured that everyone could have some privacy and their own bed vs being in a single hotel room, and each bedroom has its own TV as well as the living room. Everything is newly renovated so it looks clean and fresh. I recommend changing out the bunk beds. The ladders are a little hard to climb up/down, and the bottom bunks sit very low and might be tricky for anyone other than small children. There is also a sofa bed which we didn’t use, but that does give another sleeping option. This location is great for anyone who mostly wants to park their car and walk to the beach and other attractions including a good ice cream shop, playground and restaurants. The neighborhood is peaceful too and the owner was communicative and kind. I hope we’ll go back next summer!"

- Ice makers are an extra amenity and no refunds will be given if they are not functioning properly.

-If equipment is used that would make the utilities charge become excessive, that will be charged back to the renter.

- Any cleaning or maintenance issues must be addressed to the host. We must be able to attempt to fix the issue before offering refunds. If an issue is not addressed during the stay, no refunds will be provided.
-To maintain a fair and comfortable environment for all guests, we ask that utilities (electricity, gas, water, etc.) be used responsibly. If there is evidence of excessive utility consumption beyond normal use for the duration of your stay, we reserve the right to charge additional fees for the excess usage. These charges will be calculated based on actual costs incurred and will be billed to the guest.

- No paper towels or wipes (including flushable wipes) are allowed down the drains. If a plumber needs to fix an issue causes by the aforementioned items and reasons, the cost will be billed back to the guest.

- Guest agrees to complete a third party encrypted ID verification independent of the platform booked on for security purposes. If the guest does not complete the verification or the host is not comfortable with the screening results, host may cancel the reservation with full refund to the guest.

Welcome to our newly renovated small 835sqft 2-story beach bungalow. Our home now features a lawn fully equipped with grill, fire pit and outdoor dinning seatings for up to 4 people (we have extra chairs for seating if you have more than 4 people ) Thoughtfully designed with the highest Wi-Fi speed to stream up to 7 devices simultaneously, 55 inch smart TV in the living room, with 2 additional smart TV in all of the bedrooms. A cozy get away from home, with a 5 min beach walk. This home full bathroom is in the master bedroom and the .5 or half bathroom is in the second room upstairs. This vacation home was specifically designed for small families and couples, ( which explains why the full bathroom is in the first room /master bedroom.)but we welcome everyone to come experience what this home has to offer. The parking spot can fit two cars but maybe a little tight. If you have more than 2 cars please let me know and I will direct you to other places to park.

Parking spot description
The parking spot can fit two cars but may be a little too tight for 2 SUV’s or trucks to fit, but it can definitely fit 2 compact cars, or 1 SUV and a compact car. If you can’t fit in the 2 SUV you can park right in front of the house. If you have more than 2 cars or 2 bigger vehicles (Trucks/SUV’s) please let me know and I will direct you to other places to park.

- "Visited Hampton for a fishing/boating trip with my husband, sister, bro-in-law and our young hound Rosie. This house met all of our needs. We enjoyed having so much space, grilling out (there were two grills) and the oh so very comfy beds. Rosie loved the totally private and fenced yard, walks on the beach and around the neighborhood. There is nothing fancy about this house but it is full of lovingly curated treasures from all over the world - much of it vintage and retro but in a super comfy (and quirky fun) way! And I've already mentioned the beds - but really, they were the great - nice linens, too - I think some were vintage cotton. No "microfiber" anything here! House was super clean. Genevelyn was very helpful when I had (just a couple of) questions and texted me back immediately. Helpful hints for other travelers: - Don't wash the dishes when someone is showering (we learned this the hard way). It's torture to the person in the shower. - Bring phone chargers and USB plugs (and maybe an extension cord (also learned this the hard way bc we forgot that older homes don't have plugs and built in USBs every 3 feet). - Bring a bundle of firewood if you want to use the Solo Stove aka fire pit. - Eat at Fullers. Best poboys outside of Louisiana. - Drive and/or walk around Fort Monroe (so much cooler than expected)."

*The firepit in back is shared with the cottage that is located in the back. They have a walkway to the left of the home back to their cottage.

*There is limited parking. You may park on the right hand side of the driveway. The left hand side is reserved for the home behind this one.

*There are cameras on the exterior of the home. They are motion activated, records video and audio, and are active during reservations. There is also a decibel monitoring device located in the home. This is a smart device that measures decibel levels only and allows us to respond to extremely loud and sustained volumes. It does NOT record conversation, it only measures decibel levels. This helps us to avoid unauthorized parties. Our goal is for our guests and neighbors to both have an enjoyable experience!

*No smoking allowed (weed or cigarettes) - evidence will incur a $500 minimum fine. Please smoke away from the home away from windows or doors and dispose of cigarette butts properly.

*Any visitors must also be listed in the guest count. Minimum fine of $50 per person per night will apply for any undisclosed guests. The city is strict about maximum occupancy including visitors and we cannot allow more than the maximum guest count at any one time.

*Please observe a 9 p.m.- 8 a.m. quiet hour for our neighbors. They are our utmost priority to continue to operate short term rentals for years to come. Noise violations are taken seriously and will have one courtesy warning before removal without repayment for nights unspent.

*Our place is not for parties. $500 minimum fine for parties. A party is defined by any more than 4 occupants in the home at any one time. No refund will be given for nights unspent if we are forced to terminate the reservation due to a party. We want you to have a great time with up to 4 guests in the house maximum, including any visitors. This is a residential area and our neighbors rely on us not to disrupt the community. We want to continue to do short term rentals for a long time so please help us respect our neighbors.

*Please note while the home is cleaned very thoroughly between stays and air filters changed regularly, we do allow service dogs at the home. Those with severe allergies will need to consider our home’s suitability for their unique needs.

*No refunds will be given for COVID-19 or weather related cancellations including hurricanes. Please consider purchasing trip insurance that covers any unforeseen circumstances. Please note during hurricane season our area is prone to inclement weather.

*$75 per hour charge for not checking out on time. Please communicate if you need more time, if we can accommodate we will not charge a fee.

*If our property has a grill, please clean after use to avoid an extra $75 grill cleaning charge.

*Ice makers and fireplaces are an extra amenity and no refunds will be given if they are not functioning properly.

*To maintain a fair and comfortable environment for all guests, we ask that utilities (electricity, water, gas, etc.) be used responsibly. If there is evidence of excessive utility consumption beyond normal use for the duration of your stay, we reserve the right to charge additional fees for the excess usage. These charges will be calculated based on actual costs incurred and will be billed to the guest.

*No paper towels or wipes (including flushable wipes) are allowed down the drains. If a plumber needs to fix an issue caused by the aforementioned items and reasons, the cost will be billed back to the guest.

*Guest agrees to complete a third party encrypted ID verification independent of the platform booked on for security purposes. If the guest does not complete the verification or the host is not comfortable with the screening results, host may cancel the reservation with full refund to the guest.

*Any cleaning or maintenance issues must be addressed to the host. We must be able to attempt to fix the issue before offering refunds. If an issue is not addressed during the stay, no refunds will be provided.

*Please note lawn care and trash service may come on the premises during your stay. Days and times vary, please inquire if you need more specifics on when to expect these services to take place during your stay.

*Stays over 60 days will require a clean every 30 days included in your booking fee.

*An application, screening, signed lease and $1,000 deposit is required for 90+ day rentals-please inquire for more details. Bookings over 90 days are brokered by Sojourn Realty.

*Please note that we do not provide shoveling or snow removal. Use caution in case of these situations, as we are not to be held liable.

*This home is not pet friendly, any undisclosed pets on the property will incur a $300 fine plus any damages or extra cleaning charges. We do ask that service animals are disclosed and emotional support animals need to have valid documentation prior to the start of stay.

The City of Norfolk will begin a sand replacement project on Toler Place and Willoughby Beach (from 11th View St to the terminal groin) in response to significant erosion from recent high tides. Work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, beginning in late May 2025 and continuing through late July 2025. You will have to use the beach from 11th Bay and down to enjoy the beach.
Please be aware that the impacted section of the beach will be closed during work hours but will reopen in the evenings and on weekends. Alternate access to the beach is available via 11th View St and other nearby entry points.

Most of our residences are pet friendly and welcome your four-legged companions. Kindly inform us of any pets joining your stay so we may update your reservation accordingly. We do love furry companions, but we do have some properties that are not pet-friendly. There is a common entrance off the front of the house, however, the back of the house has separate entrances to each unit. Free parking is located in the back of the house. Supplies required over this amount will be the responsibility of the guests to purchase for their stay. There are several local stores very close to this property including Target and major grocery chains.

The 'Management Fee' listed in your booking was for a non-refundable damage waiver. The fee covers you for accidental damages up to $500. We ask that if anything does happen during your stay, please let us know immediately and send us a picture, so we can work on a remedy for the next guest. If something were to happen and the damages were to be over $500, you pay the difference over $500. Please keep in mind that this waiver does not apply to damages caused by animals, negligence, or results in excessive cleaning fees.

Beach Construction Notice:
The City of Norfolk will begin a sand replacement project on Toler Place and Willoughby Beach (from 11th View St to the terminal groin) in response to significant erosion from recent high tides. Work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, beginning in late May 2025 and continuing through late July 2025. You will have to use the beach from 11th Bay and down to enjoy the beach.
Please be aware that the impacted section of the beach will be closed during work hours but will reopen in the evenings and on weekends. Alternate access to the beach is available via 11th View St and other nearby entry points.

Sea Glass Cottage is a open concept cottage with two bedrooms. Right on the Willoughby Bay with wonderful views of the water from the house or in the large back yard. Come sit on the sunporch and enjoy the views.

One bath was plenty for two adults, but some might not want to share w/ a 2nd couple or children. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks."
