- "The house is very clean and the beds are comfortable. I slept very well and that is unusual when I am away from home. The property manager was very responsive to my request. As the restaurants in Mankato are not open for breakfast, it was very nice to be able to get a few grocery items and have breakfast in the house. There is a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster, so easy to make breakfast at the house. This was definitely more comfortable than staying at the motel. This will be my first choice the next time we visit Mankato."

Our relaxing country home is surrounded by some of the best hunting and fishing locations in the Mid-west. The sunset/sunrise views and peaceful location make for the perfect place to stay. The house is located only 10 miles from Lovewell State Park, 10 miles from the Jamestown Marsh Wildlife area, and 40 miles from Waconda Lake .
Also, Belleville, Beloit and Concordia are all within a 30 minute drive.
The space
You will have full access to the house and plenty of privacy. We have recently renovated the three bedrooms and have four double beds and one queen size bed for you and your company to enjoy a good night's rest.

Whether you are on a solo adventure or with friends for a weekend get-a-way this is the perfect place for you to stay.

Linens, sheets, blankets and coffee are provided. We have shampoo if you need some. You will also have access to our BBQ grill, as well as, the garage for your vehicle if needed.
Currently there is cable tv that streams through the Cunningham TVNow app and you can also stream many things on the 50 inch smart TV.
Other things to note
The house is located 5-15 minutes away from a grocery store, liquor store, hardware store, convenience store/gas, and restaurants. In the town of Formoso there is a bar-n-grill just up the road that is open everyday but Saturday.

Our family barn is over 100 years old and in 2013 our dad had to make the decision to either renovate or tear it down. He decided to renovate the entire barn, putting in living quarters for a rustic lodge in the hay loft. Located in the middle of the Kansas Countryside it is equipped with a full kitchen, living/dining area, top loft area with 6 sets of bunk beds and pull out couch, 1 bathroom upstairs and full bath/laundry room on the main floor. To go along with this is a deck off the north side that looks out over fields and trees. We hope to have you stay with us and enjoy it as much as our family does!

Block and a half from downtown, 5 minute walk to both city parks, 15 minutes to Lovewell lake, 1 block from the grocery store and couple blocks from several restaurants/bars. Perfect getaway for large families and hunters with off street parking for 1 car.

- "I was so happy with my experience at Richard and Kimma’s home. The hosts were friendly and responsive from the time of booking through the end of my stay. When I arrived, I was given a plate of homemade cookies along with the key and a tour of the house. I was spending the week at the Willa Cather conference in Red Cloud, which was a quick 20-25 min drive away, very easy to get to. I was mostly alone, though the hosts were very kind and let a friend whose hotel booking didn’t work out stay with me for a night at no penalty. As a woman traveling solo, it was nice to know that the hosts lived close by in case I needed anything, but I felt safe the whole time. There was plenty of room, and I loved their sense of style in the vintage decor. Everything was clean, comfortable.
