- "It is surrounded by beautiful nature. The communication was excellent. The beds are very comfortable. There was a lot of room for the 5 of us. We spent a lot of time outside. We saw that the only chairs outside by the kitchen were benches so we brought our own outdoor chairs. The house wasn’t as clean as we expected. We brought our own drinking water bc there was a sulfur smell coming from the faucet. With that said, none of those things are a deal breaker; just something to be aware of. I would like to stay again!"

My place is conveniently located on Lake Keesus, 9 miles or 15 minutes from the Erin Hills Golf Course and about 35 minutes from downtown Milwaukee. You’ll love my place because Lake Keesus is a calm 237 acres with 5 beautiful bays for families to explore. The home has just over 4000 sq ft of living space when you include the walkout lower level. The TV's have cable and the home has wireless high speed internet throughout. There are 5 bedrooms and two additional queen size blow up beds if needed.

Kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with stainless steal appliances, custom maple cabinets with black galaxy granite counter tops. All the essential equipment for cooking is available.

Main Level
Some of the features of the main level include a marble foyer, beamed great room with musical organ, formal dining, family room w/stone fireplace, and a guest bedroom with bath. The Lake Room has floor to ceiling windows and a balcony with views that tower several stories over the lake below.

Walkout Basement
The basement has a pool table, flat screen TV with a XBOX S for movies and entertainment. An exercise room has a treadmill and other small weights.

Two gas grills are available for use under a large covered area with seating overlooking the lake.

Lake Area
The shed has a fridge/freezer and stereo. Two piers are available to tie a boat or swim (No motorboats supplied). Paddle boat and 2 paddle boards are great ways to explore the lake's four bays which are included. Relax at night around the fire pit next to the waters edge. Piers are removed in early November and reinstalled in April.

The property has a maximum capacity of 13 guests. The state of WI, Section ATCP 72.16, requires all guests to register their true names and addresses before being assigned sleeping quarters for short term rentals. The day before arrival, guests will be required to provide names and addresses before access codes are released. A Rental Agreement PDF is sent after booking the property. Please read the Rental Agreement before arrival as it contains rules, policies, house information, and safety information. By accepting a booking and renting this house, all tenants accept without reservation all the terms included in the Rental Agreement including the Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk.

Anyone who is/has been involved in lake living, it's all about the location, frontage, and of course the lake itself of where you swim, boat, and play. 3 bedroom home on the "Gold Coast" (east side) of Big Cedar Lake. The property is very private and sits on a 2 acre lot. It was totally remodeled in 2018. The lake frontage/shoreline is 125 feet out the backdoor of the house. You'll always be warm and not chilled as this side of the lake has the afternoon sun, which is very important, unless of course it's a 100 degrees, but no worries if it is, we have you covered with shade and umbrellas, too.

The entire portion of the lake off the property has a wonderful hard/sandy bottom and depth from three to eight feet in all areas off the shoreline, where you would typically swim, etc. No weeds and very clear water (This area is considered one of the best shorelines on the lake.) Swimming, views, and sunsets are exceptional from the shoreline and/or deck on top of the boathouse. Very easy access to the lake as you are not high and very little stairs/incline to the shore. The Shoreline is very private and very easy access to get into the water.

Bring your camera as pictures will have backdrops to die for. Dry and updated boathouse and modern pier (For up to two boats) are fantastic along with included "lake toys" noodles, rafts, inner tubes, goggles, etc. Swimming raft anchored in water, 4 paddle boards, 2 kayaks, floats, games, corn hole (bags) , etc. all for your use. You can even sit in the boathouse for some shade and be just 5 feet from the water or if it rains/drizzles. (Change area, electric, refrigerator, etc. all in the nice and clean boathouse!)

Exceptional Biking and hiking trails are just a few miles away (Ice Age Trails) and great walking/running just off the property. It's a very spacious and It feels like you are "up north" as you enter the private drive and you will not be "crowded" due to size of the property. Neighbors on each side are 100-200 feet away on the shoreline and property. There is a 100 plus year old vacant cottage (Used for storage) next door to the property, which is really cool to see.

The home has a beautiful sun room that faces the lake and gives you the feeling of floating on the water! Kitchen has all new appliances and plenty of kitchenware. The living room, bedrooms, bathroom are in beautiful condition and "not lived in". There is no personal belongings in the house and it's cleaned by a professional maid service between renters with professional/commercial cleaning products. Central air, nice windows w/great breeze, ceiling fans, storage, etc. There are two smart TV's, WiFi, cable, movies, games, wireless speaker, etc. all included. Beautiful and comfortable outdoor furniture for the shoreline/pier and the deck on top of boathouse has very nice patio furniture for hanging out, "boat watching", meals, relaxing etc. Outdoor Gas Grill, too!

Bring your boat (Secluded private Launch is 2 miles away with no restrictions.) You can drop your boat and drive trailer back to the house. There is plenty of parking on the property for several cars and trailers. If you don't have a boat, you can rent a pontoon on the lake from House of Heileman's and/or from the Milwaukee area. House of Heileman rents pontoons from half days to a week. (The pier will be able to handle any size boat and also great area to fish and relax from. It's very high end and modern!)

Plenty of restaurants to choose from on the water if you stay on the lake or if you go into town, you're a 10 minute drive to West Bend with plenty of things to do including their highly rated Farmers Market, restaurants, golf, movies, shopping, etc. The award winning Timmer's restaurant is a 5 minute car ride, 15 minute walk, or a few minutes by boat! However, why go out, you have the best spot on the lake if you cook!

Welcome to the Pike Lake House located in Hartford WI with direct lake access to Pike Lake. Enjoy watching the sunrise, swimming, fishing and lazy days at our 100 years old historic cottage that comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests. The Pike Lake House features a lakeside patio with table, charcoal grill, pier, campfire pit and gorgeous lake views right from our relaxing panoramic sun room. Local kayak, paddle board, paddle boat, canoe boat rental available. Make memories and enjoy lake life on beautiful Pike Lake.
The space
Our remodeled historic Pike Lake cottage house features 2 bedrooms, a spacious bathroom with rain shower, comfortable sitting areas for relaxing and viewing the lake.

Lower bedroom #1 has a Full sized bed, living room area has a Futon bed, and upper bedroom #2 has a Queen sized bed.

Enjoy beautiful panoramic Pike Lake views while enjoying a morning cup of coffee at the dining table or while relaxing on the sectional sofa.

Fully stocked galley kitchen perfect for making a lakeside dinner.

Lovely patio with lakeside dining table and charcoal grill (charcoal not provided).

Campfire pit available on non windy days.

Pier for docking your personal boat, fishing, or swimming.

Fishing - small mouth bass, walleye, northern pike, pan fish and bluegills.

Cottage has window air conditioning units and fans to provide comfort but does not have central air.

Guests have access to entire cottage. Pier is a shared area.

Paddle board, kayak, paddle boat & canoe rental available on site. Contact host upon arrival for additional information and booking.
Boat rental on the Pike Lake is not available due to a city ordinance. However, if you bring your own you can use the public lunch area, and our pier.

Note:
First five feet of water front property is considered public access for lake residents by the County of Washington. It is normal to see residents passing along the shore. It happens rarely.

Allie, the property manager has a pontoon boat parked at the pier; unfortunately, renting that pontoon boat is not possible due to ordinance.

Views of the lake out of the giant picture windows are amazing especially in the early mornings. Private yard with a nice patio area. Hosts were very friendly and easy to communicate with. The backyard directly on the water is incredible! Gorgeous views from both inside the house's sunroom and from the yard itself.
