- "It is surrounded by beautiful nature. The communication was excellent. The beds are very comfortable. There was a lot of room for the 5 of us. We spent a lot of time outside. We saw that the only chairs outside by the kitchen were benches so we brought our own outdoor chairs. The house wasn’t as clean as we expected. We brought our own drinking water bc there was a sulfur smell coming from the faucet. With that said, none of those things are a deal breaker; just something to be aware of. My place is conveniently located on Lake Keesus, 9 miles or 15 minutes from the Erin Hills Golf Course and about 35 minutes from downtown Milwaukee. You’ll love my place because Lake Keesus is a calm 237 acres with 5 beautiful bays for families to explore. The home has just over 4000 sq ft of living space when you include the walkout lower level. The TV's have cable and the home has wireless high speed internet throughout. There are 5 bedrooms and two additional queen size blow up beds if needed.

Kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with stainless steal appliances, custom maple cabinets with black galaxy granite counter tops. All the essential equipment for cooking is available.

Main Level
Some of the features of the main level include a marble foyer, beamed great room with musical organ, formal dining, family room w/stone fireplace, and a guest bedroom with bath. The Lake Room has floor to ceiling windows and a balcony with views that tower several stories over the lake below.

Walkout Basement
The basement has a pool table, flat screen TV with a XBOX S for movies and entertainment. An exercise room has a treadmill and other small weights.

Two gas grills are available for use under a large covered area with seating overlooking the lake.

Lake Area
The shed has a fridge/freezer and stereo. Two piers are available to tie a boat or swim (No motorboats supplied). Paddle boat and 2 paddle boards are great ways to explore the lake's four bays which are included. Relax at night around the fire pit next to the waters edge. Piers are removed in early November and reinstalled in April.

The property has a maximum capacity of 13 guests. The state of WI, Section ATCP 72.16, requires all guests to register their true names and addresses before being assigned sleeping quarters for short term rentals. The day before arrival, guests will be required to provide names and addresses before access codes are released. A Rental Agreement PDF is sent after booking the property. Please read the Rental Agreement before arrival as it contains rules, policies, house information, and safety information. By accepting a booking and renting this house, all tenants accept without reservation all the terms included in the Rental Agreement including the Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk.

Anyone who is/has been involved in lake living, it's all about the location, frontage, and of course the lake itself of where you swim, boat, and play. 3 bedroom home on the "Gold Coast" (east side) of Big Cedar Lake. The property is very private and sits on a 2 acre lot. It was totally remodeled in 2018. The lake frontage/shoreline is 125 feet out the backdoor of the house. You'll always be warm and not chilled as this side of the lake has the afternoon sun, which is very important, unless of course it's a 100 degrees, but no worries if it is, we have you covered with shade and umbrellas, too.

The entire portion of the lake off the property has a wonderful hard/sandy bottom and depth from three to eight feet in all areas off the shoreline, where you would typically swim, etc. No weeds and very clear water (This area is considered one of the best shorelines on the lake.) Swimming, views, and sunsets are exceptional from the shoreline and/or deck on top of the boathouse. Very easy access to the lake as you are not high and very little stairs/incline to the shore. The Shoreline is very private and very easy access to get into the water.

Bring your camera as pictures will have backdrops to die for. Dry and updated boathouse and modern pier (For up to two boats) are fantastic along with included "lake toys" noodles, rafts, inner tubes, goggles, etc. Swimming raft anchored in water, 4 paddle boards, 2 kayaks, floats, games, corn hole (bags) , etc. all for your use. You can even sit in the boathouse for some shade and be just 5 feet from the water or if it rains/drizzles. (Change area, electric, refrigerator, etc. all in the nice and clean boathouse!)

Exceptional Biking and hiking trails are just a few miles away (Ice Age Trails) and great walking/running just off the property. It's a very spacious and It feels like you are "up north" as you enter the private drive and you will not be "crowded" due to size of the property. Neighbors on each side are 100-200 feet away on the shoreline and property. There is a 100 plus year old vacant cottage (Used for storage) next door to the property, which is really cool to see.

The home has a beautiful sun room that faces the lake and gives you the feeling of floating on the water! Kitchen has all new appliances and plenty of kitchenware. The living room, bedrooms, bathroom are in beautiful condition and "not lived in". There is no personal belongings in the house and it's cleaned by a professional maid service between renters with professional/commercial cleaning products. Central air, nice windows w/great breeze, ceiling fans, storage, etc. There are two smart TV's, WiFi, cable, movies, games, wireless speaker, etc. all included. Beautiful and comfortable outdoor furniture for the shoreline/pier and the deck on top of boathouse has very nice patio furniture for hanging out, "boat watching", meals, relaxing etc. Outdoor Gas Grill, too!

Bring your boat (Secluded private Launch is 2 miles away with no restrictions.) You can drop your boat and drive trailer back to the house. There is plenty of parking on the property for several cars and trailers. If you don't have a boat, you can rent a pontoon on the lake from House of Heileman's and/or from the Milwaukee area. House of Heileman rents pontoons from half days to a week. (The pier will be able to handle any size boat and also great area to fish and relax from. It's very high end and modern!)

Plenty of restaurants to choose from on the water if you stay on the lake or if you go into town, you're a 10 minute drive to West Bend with plenty of things to do including their highly rated Farmers Market, restaurants, golf, movies, shopping, etc. The award winning Timmer's restaurant is a 5 minute car ride, 15 minute walk, or a few minutes by boat! However, why go out, you have the best spot on the lake if you cook!

Our remodeled historic Pike Lake cottage house features 2 bedrooms, a spacious bathroom with rain shower, comfortable sitting areas for relaxing and viewing the lake.

Lower bedroom #1 has a Full sized bed, living room area has a Futon bed, and upper bedroom #2 has a Queen sized bed.

Enjoy beautiful panoramic Pike Lake views while enjoying a morning cup of coffee at the dining table or while relaxing on the sectional sofa.

First five feet of water front property is considered public access for lake residents by the County of Washington. It is normal to see residents passing along the shore. It happens rarely.

Allie, the property manager has a pontoon boat parked at the pier; unfortunately, renting that pontoon boat is not possible due to ordinance.

Master bedroom: queen size bed and attached upstairs patio. The second bedroom has queen bunk beds and a full. The third bedroom has queen bunk beds and a twin. Although the bedrooms are smaller, new beds, mattresses, and bedding ensure a cozy and relaxing night’s sleep.

The Lake: Big Cedar Lake is a fully recreational lake. 1.45 miles and reaches a maximum depth of 105 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a private boat landing. Known for its amazing beauty and great fishing, guests of all ages will enjoy reeling in Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Walleye. For those who enjoy going out on the lake and getting into the water, Big Cedar Lake is home to one of the most popular sand bars in the Midwest.

The property offers 100 feet of frontage, a pier, swimming in the lake, and family fun activities as well as nearby access to miles of biking and walking trails.

You will love the warm and cozy feel of our newly remodeled and sparkling clean lake house which incorporates shiplap and wood elements throughout. The adorable main living space features homey, traditional furnishings, and an open layout makes it easy to get comfortable with friends and family while you enjoy spectacular views of the lake.

There are plenty of your favorite classic board games, puzzles, and playing cards for some old school, unplugged fun as well. You will also find a large wall-mounted TV in the living room which includes Spectrum Cable and an interactive smart tv to sign into your favorite apps. We also offer FREE Wi-Fi to all of our guests.

When you enter the kitchen, you’ll be greeted by a warm ambient glow from our accent lighting. You will find it well stocked with all of the pots, pans, glassware, and serving utensils needed during your stay. In addition to the standard appliances, we also offer a blender, microwave, and Keurig for all of your caffeine needs. Speaking of coffee, there is nothing quite like watching the sunrise over the lake while you enjoy your hot cup of java on the deck.

For dinner, be sure to join us at Timmer's Resort / Restaurant, just up the lawn from the cottage. Serving the best cocktails and food on the lake, you can sit down to dine in the dining room or just join us in the bar. In the summer, the patio overlooking the lake is a perfect way to enjoy a summer meal, and Sunday brunch is always a hit.

To ensure a comfortable stay for all of our guests, we have installed new HVAC units for hot summer days and cold winter nights. We also have a washer and dryer in the mud room off the kitchen.

There is plenty of room in the spacious yard for outdoor games, and we provide 2 gas grills for outdoor cooking.

Finally, a vacation on the lake would not be complete without a fire pit under the stars. You’ll have ample room around the fire to enjoy incredible lake views, share stories with friends and family, tell spooky campfire stories, listen to some tunes, and of course cook up some classic and gooey s'mores. Supplies for s'mores are in the sunroom close to the doorway to the deck.

Located approximately 30 min north of Milwaukee, you will find the city of Hartford to be a safe, friendly, community oriented small town. The unit is within walking distance to historic downtown Hartford where you will find local shops, boutiques, antiques, restaurants, bars and Riverwalk. Situated close to several natural splendors such as Pike Lake State Park, Holy Hill, Erin Hills Golf Course and the Kettle Moraine State Forest.

Nestled along the Rubicon River and located within the rolling hills of the Kettle Moraine, the city of Hartford was established in the late 1800’s. The city has done a fabulous job in maintaining the historic old-world charm constructed by its original settlers. In addition to the local businesses, the downtown area is home to the performing art center, rec center (with gym and pool), library, summer outdoor concerts and river walk. The community hosts many events throughout the year including car shows, street fairs and farmers markets, all within walking distance to the apartment. Outdoor recreation is part of daily living for Hartford, the town is home to 20 well-equipped city parks and recreational opportunities.

The surrounding area has much to offer, some of which include:

Pike Lake State Park (4.4 miles) – Part of the Kettle Moraine State Forest and located in Hartford. This beautiful State Park offers opportunities for hiking, swimming, picnics and camping. Check out ‘Friends of Pike Lake’ page for up-to-date information on park and naturalist events like guided kayaking tours, sunset stand up paddle boarding, campfires, star gazing and nature hikes.

Holy Hill (7.6 miles) – The iconic Holy Hill Shrine with its twin towers that can be seen from several counties in all directions, it sits atop one of the tallest kames in this hilly terrain. Visitors can climb a 178-step observation tower to view the Milwaukee skyline, about thirty miles southeast. At approximately 1,350 feet above sea level, it is one of the highest points in southeastern Wisconsin. The property also hosts arts and craft fairs and flea markets at various times of the year. This is also the location of a 7-mile segment of the Ice Age National Trail.

Holy Hill Art Farm (9.5 mile) – Originally the Loosen Family Homestead, this 165-year-old – 80-acre farm is located in the heart of the Kettle Moraines of Holy Hill. The rustic property has been transformed into a unique destination of creativity offering several art and farm market events, concerts & dinners, wine walks and more

Automotive Museum (0.6 miles) – located in Hartford, is Wisconsin’s largest auto museum featuring an ever-growing display of 105 classic, vintage autos and automotive artifacts.

Schauer Art Center (0.6 miles) - Filled with culture and history, the Schauer Arts Center was transformed from a 1919 canning factory into an architectural award-winning, state-of-the-art performing and visual arts center. Soaring 14-foot loft ceilings, stunning natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows, and exposed beams showcase a blend of industrial charm and elegance

Chandelier Ballroom (0.5 miles) – Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1928, its unique architecture boasts an unobstructed, octagonal ballroom rising to a grand peak at the center, featuring a marvelous one ton, Art Deco German chandelier surrounded by 26 smaller chandeliers

Ice Age National Scenic Trail (locations vary) – Located entirely in Wisconsin, the route of the Trail generally follows the edges of the last continental glacier in North America, a time known as the Wisconsin glaciation. As a result, the footpath, which is an excellent opportunity for hiking and backpacking, highlights and preserves some of the finest glacial features on earth, as well as other scenic and natural resources. The Trail is made up of more than 100 segments, which vary in length from just over 1 mile to nearly 15 miles. The blazed, completed segments are joined together by connector routes (typically rural roads and highways) which make it possible to hike the entire 1,200-mile path. Nearby segments include Pike Lake (Hartford) Black Forest Nature Trail (Slinger), Holy Hill (Hubertus), Glacial Blue Hills (West Bend), Fox Hill Nature Preserve (West Bend) Big Cedar Lake (West Bend) Lapham Peak (Delafield) and more

Little Switzerland Ski Resort (6.2 miles) - Features 50 skiable acres with a 200-foot vertical drop. Eighteen runs are serviced by four doubles, one rope tow, and two handle tows and freestylers will find three terrain parks at the bottom of the hill to practice on. The chalet offers a full-service restaurant, bar, game room, snack bar and pro shop. Little Switzerland has a ski school that offers lessons of various group size, ability level, and duration for both skiing and snowboarding.

Slinger Super Speedway (6.3 miles) - a quarter-mile paved oval automobile racetrack with 33-degree banked corners. The track is billed as the "World's Fastest Quarter Mile Oval."

Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center (22 miles) - Horicon National Wildlife Refuge encompasses the northern two-thirds of the 32,000-acre Horicon Marsh (22,000 acres). Of that, about 17,000 acres is wetland habitat, 4,000 acres is upland grasslands and approximately 500 acres is woodland. Known as the largest freshwater marsh in the United States, it is home to more than 300 species of birds and a diversity of other wildlife species. Visitors enjoy many activities at Horicon National Wildlife Refuge including wildlife observation, photography, hiking, fishing, educational programs, guided tours, bicycling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and deer and upland game hunting. Trapping is also an approved use on the refuge. On-site large viewing area with spectacular views of the marsh.

Milwaukee – the largest city in the state of Wisconsin, Milwaukee attracts millions of visitors each year. Home to Summerfest Music Festival, Harley Davidson and the Milwaukee Art Museum, Milwaukee is a true regional hub that attracts millions of visitors each year. Getting from downtown Hartford to Milwaukee city center takes about 45 minutes by car. Once you make your way there, a great place to start exploring is the Riverwalk Way, a beautiful pedestrian promenade sitting along the banks of the Milwaukee River.

Erin Hills Golf Course (6.1 miles) – Located in Hartford - The site of the 2017 U.S. Open, Erin Hills provides championship gold in a grand, natural setting. On a rugged landscape formed by glacial action thousands of years ago, little earth was moved when forming the course, resulting in one of the most natural layouts to be found anywhere in the United States. Make no mistake, though, Erin Hills is golf on an epic scale, a big course in a vast landscape, where the overall length can vary from a modest 5,434 yards to a whopping 7,845 yards.

Hartford Golf Club (1.8 miles) – open to the public, The course at Hartford Golf Club features 6,500 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Founded in 1928 with a friendly atmosphere and high standards of quality service.

Kettle Hills Golf Course (13 miles) - a 45 hole championship golf course in Richfield, WI with two 18-hole courses and one 9-hole course. The bar and grill serves pub style food.

Washington County Golf Course (2.9 miles) - The par-72 golf course at Washington County Golf Course in Hartford, Wisconsin measures over 7000 yards from the back tees.
