The newly constructed (2016) Remington Ranch Lodge is a 2,200 sq ft facility designed for those looking for that hunter/outdoorsman living experience. We can book exclusively or accommodate several clients on a room by room basis. So if the calendar shows that we have guests, we still may be able to accommodate your needs. Please check with us for availability. The lodge is located just 5 minutes NE of beautiful Independence, Ks and sits over 1/4 mile off the road squarely in the middle of 114 acres. Upland hunt packages (Pheasant, Chukar, Quail) are available November 1st thru February 31st upon request or just simply relax with your fishing pole around our 3 acre lake just outside your door (Catch and Release Only).

Remington Ranch is also "Pet Friendly" and has kennels on the grounds. So don't hesitate to bring that special friend or hunting partner for that incredible upland hunt experience. Want to hunt but don't have a dog…??? No problem. We have on staff some of the best upland dogs in the country. We are a working Ranch and dog training facility. We do keep some client dogs on site. The dogs can be a little noisy at feeding time or if the coyotes come up at night but are generally not an issue with our guests.

What about deer and turkey hunting you ask…??? Remington Ranch is just minutes away from over 14,000 acres of Kansas State Public Hunting Areas. Much of this state owned public land is also some of the best waterfowl hunting in the state. In addition, there are also hundreds of acres of privately owned public access properties in this same area. Berry Hill Cabin rests on a 755-acre tract of land. The cabin is close to the center. The property roughly goes both a mile north and south from the cabin as well as half a mile to the east and west of it.

The cabin has 3 bedrooms(two downstairs and one upstairs) and one bathroom with two living rooms and multiple places to sit and enjoy the amazing views of the Kansas prairie. The cabin has all the comforts of home and none of the distractions. Although located in rural Kansas, fiber internet is available at the house and if you choose you can stay as connected as you would like.

We think the property has a little bit of everything to offer which makes it unique. Besides the cabin rental, it is a working cattle ranch. There are approximately 270 acres for the 45 head of momma cows and their babies that reside at the place. There are 50 acres of hay meadows to get the cattle through the winter. There is 80 acres on the very north end that was put into agriculture in 2023. Typically, it raises soybeans in the summer and wheat in the spring and fall. There are 17 ponds on the place. Lastly we are nature enthusiasts. The remainder of the property is dedicated to 350 acres of timber, valleys and miles of trails that make up the majority of Berry Hill. Berry Hill is one of the highest points in the county at an elevation of 1030 feet.

This is not your average Airbnb. Magnolia Blossom Inn is a 1905 historic mansion with 4,650 square feet on three floors. Oak woodwork; hardwood floors; stained glass windows; fireplaces; leaded glass windows; and octagonal tile floors and vintage tubs in each guest bath. A hot breakfast is served by your hosts in the dining room every morning on china and crystal. See our other Inn rooms listed on Airbnb if additional space is needed.

The space
The Sunflower Room is a large airy bedroom on the 3rd floor east with one queen bed and private full bath. Claw foot tub and shower, original octagon floor tile, original woodwork and hardwood floors. Ceiling fan, black out curtains, strong wi-fi, central air and heat.

Guest access
Besides the guest room, guests have access to the sitting room on the third floor with recliners and a dining table along with the large living area on the first floor with television and games. There is a large wrap-around front porch and a huge partially fenced in front yard.

Ice water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fruit available 24/7 in the dining room.

During your stay
We reside on site and are always available to assist you.

Other things to note
Our cat Henry resides in the house. We keep him out of the guest rooms, but those with severe cat allergies may be uncomfortable.
Our poodle puppy, Idgie is our newest family member.
