Located down the street from Indiana’s largest natural lake, Lake Wawasee, you will find everything you could possibly enjoy while you stay in Syracuse, IN at the Wawasee FROG house.

Upon entry, you will be met with a light and bright, freshly renovated interior. Our living room offers a comfortable space for you to cool off and relax after a nice long day at the lake. Newly added for the 2024 season is a pull out couch. Walking through, be sure to stop at our “Frog House” feature wall and snap a few photos for your social media with our greenery and LED lighted wall. From there, you can rock, paper, scissors, with your friends or family members for either the King bedroom or Queen bedroom with a shared bathroom located between the two. After you figure out where you are going to crash for the night, you will be met with our eat-in dining room and open kitchen concept with all the kitchen necessities you could think of. The kitchen was fully renovated the Spring of 2024. Off to the right you will notice a doorway with our stackable washer and dryer unit so you are able to travel home with clean clothes before you leave and it also has a half bathroom there as well. Continuing on from there (the kids probably already found it) you will find our double bunk room! Featuring 2 twin over full bunks, a fireplace and sliding glass door with access to our backyard oasis. Hang out on the patio at night by the propane fire pit and on the comfy sectional or play a game of putt putt in the alley located just off the side of the house. You can sit back and enjoy all the live music on the weekends that you can hear playing from the various local venues.

Not your typical rental, family owned and I enjoy sharing it the times I cant be there...
Located on the east side of Lake Wawasee on Morrison Island is my cute and completely updated cottage with a large deck over looking a wide open tranquil bay with a couple uninhabited islands with plenty of wild life. The cottage is a perfect place to park your boat for the duration of your stay. And the public access ramp is just a couple minutes drive away. Don't have a boat? No problem. Griffith's Wawasee Marina is just a couple minute walk away to service all your rental needs. Or bring the kayaks up and paddle around. My 14 ft Old town kayak as well as my 12 ft Perception are there for you to use as well.
For the times you don't want to be on the water, the green space on the island is perfect for family games or picnics. And since you'll be on an island, that means very low traffic so bring the bikes on up or your walking or running shoes and get a workout.
The towns nearby are Syracuse and North Webster and both have great places to eat, drink or shop. The Boutiques and antique stores are awesome.
Places to eat on the water? You have The Oakwood, The Channel Marker, and The Frog are all great places to go to after a day on Wawasee's sandbar.
So on to the house. Its 1000 sq ft of functionality. I've had the house for a number of years and have updated it completely front to back. New carpet, fresh paint, new beds, new appliances, new deck, etc. And because kids, and some of us adults can't go anywhere without it, it does have WiFi. And it also has a 55 inch Samsung Smart tv with some pre loaded apps such as Vudu, Hulu, and Disney. No cable tv.
The living room has plenty of space for relaxing or playing family games etc. It also has a single fold out bed and plenty of space for an air mattress for extra guests. The bedroom's are cozy and comfortable. One has a brand new queen size bed, and the other has a brand new full size bed.
The kitchen is outfitted with new stainless appliances and an eating area as well. But the best place to eat is really on the newly built deck that goes over the water. Burgers and chicken off the new grill taste best looking at the scenery that the lake has to offer. But nothing compares to a cup of coffee watching the sunrise. Have your camera ready!
C'mon up and spend a weekend or longer here and make some memories that will last a lifetime!
Added note here.... I do have a small pup and am not opposed to having dogs there as long as they are great dogs. By my definition that is a dog that does not chew on anything and is completely house broken (potty trained) and loves other dogs as many of the Morrison Island residents have dogs.
Added note here, it Does have central air conditioning and a gas grill. It does not have a dishwasher, or a washer and dryer. Also, important to know, the cottage has a newer hot water heater as well as a new water softener, but it does still get a bit of a sulfur smell from time to time when using hot water.

PIER 382, located in the center of Syracuse Lake's prestigious North Shore, is a magnificent custom home that takes full advantage of the property's hilltop location providing breathtaking panoramic views of the lake from all three levels.
NOTE: With it's 3 levels (4 if you count the lake level) there a quite a few stairs. No more than other homes of this style, but enough we feel it important to mention. There is a large main level bedroom w/ adjacent full bath for those wanting to avoid stairs.
Essentially a two-story home with a walk-out lower level. As you enter the foyer on the main level, to the right is the laundry/pantry and rec room, straight ahead is a large bedroom, and to the left is the enormous gourmet kitchen, large dining area, turret-sun room, spectacular great room that overlooks the lake and opens onto the main level balcony. Up the wide staircase there are 4 bedrooms upstairs including the Master and the "dormer-room" with it's 8 twin beds.
The lower level may be accessed from the great room or it's own balcony, and was designed to be a complete 2-bedroom apartment. It offers a family room, a second full kitchen and two bedrooms, including one with the "turret" designed panoramic views.
Built in 2004, this custom lake home has an inviting open floorplan so often lacking in older lake homes. Over 5,000 sq ft of living space, 7 sleeping areas (6 Large Bedrooms plus the huge Dormer room with 8 twin beds), 4 Full Baths, 3 Full Kitchens.
The main floor kitchen is enormous and very well appointed with virtually every appliance and accessory imaginable. It's not an over statement to call it "gourmet."
Pier 382 is the perfect destination for large family gatherings. The enormous great room w/cathedral ceiling and fireplace is often the center point for the day or evenings activities. The wall of lake side windows offer spectacular views of the lake, and the dining area is set up for large groups and is ideal for meals or games. Just off the great room is the spacious main level balcony. The perfect place to catch all the lakeside action, with Adirondak chairs overlooking the lake and the dining area is perfect for outdoor meals or activities. There is also a power awning that covers the balcony dining table to give you a break from the sun.
The lower level was designed to serve as a 2 Bedroom apartment, w/ Full Bath and Full kitchen w/ Breakfast bar, family room and private balcony. This area creates that "someplace else" to read, nap or just get away for a bit. Just outside this area is the Lower-level Balcony, which has a 6-person bar w/ LP Fire Ring overlooking the lakeside patio.
Lakeside patio has a new upholstered seating area, Adirondack chairs, lounge chairs. We just added a 2nd propane "fire ring" for lake side patio, perfect for those cool evenings. Plenty of room to sit, lounge or sun by the lake.
Syracuse Lake and the surrounding area is perfect for, swimming, boating, fishing, sailing, golfing or just relaxing. The lake is beautiful, the water so clean and clear you can see the sandy lake bottom and even fish swimming by from the balcony above. The lake bottom around our pier in particular is very sandy and shallow out to about the 4th or 5th section which provides a wonderful shallow swimming/wadding area for kids and grown-ups a like. Past the 4th section of pier, it starts dropping off to about 6-7 feet deep at the end of the pier. Our pier is a bit longer than most and guests are welcome bring their own boat or rent from local marinas, a few of which will drop off and pick up at the pier.
Syracuse Lake is connected to Lake Wawasee via a channel that goes under the rather low rail bridge on the south side of the lake. NOTE: Guests wishing to boat between the lakes should inquire first, as some boats will not fit under the rail bridge. Both of our speed boats fit under most of the year, but pontoon boats typically will not.
Syracuse lake is an "all sports" lake meaning "speed boats" and water skiing Jet Skis and tubing are allowed. Growing up, Doug's family had a home on Wawasee, but we regularly went to Syracuse Lake preferring it's calmer waters for skiing and tubing.
The North shore of Syracuse Lake is known for its meticulously maintained properties, many of which overlook the lake from a hill. (We like to think of it as the "better part" of the lakes....but we might be biased :) ...or... we might be right ;) haha
The town of Syracuse and the surrounding area are quite charming and offer a multitude of activities and attractions.
Pier 382 is not primarily a rental property, and we won't rent to anyone simply because they have the money. This is our family lake home, and we take pride in maintaining it at that level for both ourselves and our guests. We cater to large families and corporate guests needing a property that can comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests. Doug personally greats all guests at the property. We chose to rent to help offset expenses and because we can't use it all the time, but we are not looking to simply book as many stays as possible.
All the beds and mattresses were purchased new in 2022-23 and are covered with quality linens. We have a great team of housekeepers that understand our standards and work hard to maintain the level of cleanliness we and our guests expect. Please look at our reviews, I ask many guests... "did we over sell it?" and the most common reply ..."it's bigger and better than we expected!"

Great location with Lake Access on Beautiful Lake Wawasee!!! The Island will accommodate up 20 people in beds/sofa bed. Perfect for family gatherings. Property has over 50 feet of pier space to accommodate your personal boats and PWC's. The Island provides over 1.5 acres of space to spread out and plenty of room for parking. It also has mature trees that provide ample amounts of shade on the west end of the island to help keep everyone cool as they enjoy the main channel during their stay.

Guests that stay at the Island have the opportunity to access almost every part of the property. The only place that will not have access will be the 2 car garage.

Absolutely NO FIREWORKS PERMITTED on property!!!

Boat Trailers CANNOT be brought over the island's bridge as it will not make the turn. Please contact either Main Channel Marina or another marina in the area to store you trailer during your stay.

Bring your boat and launch it at either public launch sites near the island property. There is a bridge that crosses over the Main Channel near the Syracuse Lake Public Access that is low to the water that limits certain boats from getting under it. Syracuse lake access accommodates ski boats, runabout boats, and wake boarding boats. Lake Wawasee Public access accommodates every type of boat with no bridges to go under.

- "This is a neat and tidy, clean, well appointed, and pet friendly property. We had 6 grown adults, 2 med. sized dogs, and had plenty of room for both spreading out and hanging out together. The boat dock was so convenient to have for our own boat docking. We all enjoyed paddling every day in the 4 kayaks, 2 SUPs, and pedal boat. (LOADS of life jackets in varying sizes) The kitchen and laundry room are both fully stocked making it so convenient for daily meal prep and the clothing accidents that occur. And the sunroom was such a joy to relax in! Neighbors are friendly. Public boat launch, good restaurants, a grocery store, and bait shops are close by."

The entire house has been newly renovated & comes furnished with all of the basic necessities. It is the perfect place for families! While you enjoy your stay with us, you will have direct access to pier space where you can park your personal or rented boat.

Upon arrival you will find a spacious front yard with a fire pit to enjoy those summer nights. When entering the front door, you will be greeted by the dining room, a popcorn maker & the bright white kitchen. The kitchen has all the basic necessities you need to make your stay enjoyable.
To the left of the front door after you pass the entryway, you will see the bunk room. This room has 1 full on full bunk and 1 twin on twin bunk. It will sleep 6 people. Has a dresser and TV. The washer and dryer are also located in that same room.

Behind the front door to the right is a storage closet where you will find games for all ages, a 6 foot table & extra chairs. As you make your way past the kitchen there will be a full bathroom on the left. It has a large shower. There are extra towels & toilet paper in closet located in bathroom.

The spacious living room has a large TV, fireplace, couch, loveseat & chair. As you look out of the back window, you will have a great view of the lake. Off of the living room is a bedroom with a queen size bed, full length mirror, closet, dresser & TV.

As you make your way upstairs you will see another bathroom. It has a double vanity, tub/shower and extra towels in the cabinet.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, a futon, a chair, dresser, closet & TV. This spacious room has a great view of the lake. Directly across the hall you will come across the last bedroom with a queen size bed, a futon, dresser, closet & TV.

The large back deck has a great view of the lake with outdoor table & chairs, a gas fire pit and a grill! The boat dock is located to the left of the pier with the white roof. See photos for reference. In the garage you will find outdoor yard games, a smoker and a fish cleaning table.

This home is three levels made up with a basement, main floor and second floor. The main floor has the kitchen, living room dining area and small porch that looks out over the channel. There is also guest bed and bathroom on this level as well. The second level consist of the master bedroom and bathroom with a king size bed and a twin trundle bed. There is also another guest bedroom. The basement has a large couch and tv area, laundry room, full guest bathroom, bunkroom and play room. The walkout basement leads you to the fir pit area and outdoor dining area. This is the best way to get to the pier.

There are yard games, board games, kayak, lily pad and Wii game counsel to enjoy during your stay. There is also a Blackstone flattop available for use. The Blackstone must stay on the driveway.

The front of the cottage has an enclosed porch facing Oakwood Circle & the channel, perfect for people watching and also checking out the boats cruising by. In the back of the cottage, facing the playground, there is a gas grill & patio with an umbrella table & chairs. There are several yard games available for your enjoyment. The primary bedroom has a king bed, tv, and 2 closets. The second bedroom has a queen bed, a dresser & a closet. Need more sleeping space? There is an inflatable full size air mattress and then always the couch:)

The cottage is equipped with bedding, bath towels (7), beach towels, and washcloths. We will provide paper towels & toilet paper to get you started. There is a microwave, stove, dishes, utensils, & coffee maker/filters. This cottage does have Wi-fi & the 2 TVs are connected to a large antenna in back, so you can enjoy your local channels and so many of your pastime favorites! There are books to read & plenty of games to enjoy, while enjoying the company of others. This is a smoke-free facility. There are 2 window AC units and a couple fans available as well. There are 3 parking spaces provided in front of the cottage. So grab your suntan lotion and head on down to the waterfront to start enjoying our Indiana summer!

The kitchen, dining, bath and laundry areas are on the lower level with sliding glass doors all along the front to take in beautiful sunsets. At the top of the stairs, you will find the living room with fireplace, games and there is a full sized bed placed in the back corner. Off of the living room are 2 bedrooms. You have to go through the bedroom with a queen bed to get to the other bedroom with a twin.

We have a peddle boat, row boat, kayaks and a swim raft that you are more than welcome to use. There is room to park one vehicle at the bottom of our shared drive. Please do not block the drive as this is the same way the neighbors exit.

We are within a short walking distance to Syracuse's best shops & restaurants! Cozy up on the large backyard deck next to the fire-pit that overlooks the water. The front yard is big enough to play any of your favorite outdoor games!

The space
Just a short distance away from Syracuse's best shops and restaurants in the area! The house is located on Indiana's largest natural lake, Lake Wawasee. The entire house has been newly renovated & comes furnished with all of the basic necessities. It is the perfect place for families! While you enjoy your stay with us, you will have direct access to pier space where you can park your personal or rented boat.

Upon arrival you will find a spacious front yard with a fire pit to enjoy those summer nights. When entering the front door, you will be greeted by the dining room, a popcorn maker & the bright white kitchen. The kitchen has all the basic necessities you need to make your stay enjoyable.
To the left of the front door after you pass the entryway, you will see the bunk room. This room has 1 full on full bunk and 1 twin on twin bunk. It will sleep 6 people. Has a dresser and TV. The washer and dryer are also located in that same room.

Behind the front door to the right is a storage closet where you will find games for all ages, a 6 foot table & extra chairs. As you make your way past the kitchen there will be a full bathroom on the left. It has a large shower. There are extra towels & toilet paper in closet located in bathroom.

The spacious living room has a large TV, fireplace, couch, loveseat & chair. As you look out of the back window, you will have a great view of the lake. Off of the living room is a bedroom with a queen size bed, full length mirror, closet, dresser & TV.

As you make your way upstairs you will see another bathroom. It has a double vanity, tub/shower and extra towels in the cabinet.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, a futon, a chair, dresser, closet & TV. This spacious room has a great view of the lake. Directly across the hall you will come across the last bedroom with a queen size bed, a futon, dresser, closet & TV.

The large back deck has a great view of the lake with outdoor table & chairs, a gas fire pit and a grill! In the garage you will find outdoor yard games, a smoker and a fish cleaning table.

Relax with the family at this adorable home. It’s on a quiet peaceful channel with a short boat ride to the main lake. It has parking for two cars or a car and a boat trailer. It has plenty of dock space for your water toys. It has a large outside deck to hang out on and a lot of grassy areas to play games, or have a bonfire. This home is located on Wawasee just off of Johnson Bay.

Two Kayaks are available for use on the property. Life jackets are available with them.

It’s has one bedroom with a queen sleep number mattress and bunk beds right off the living room.

Home can sleep 4 people comfortably. 6 people with a pull out couch (with sheets provided), or plenty of room if you want to bring an air mattress instead. ( air mattress and sheets NOT provided)

This is our first Airbnb listing. We have been working hard on getting this 1930’s home ready for others to enjoy. We are working on adding more, like WiFi, more sitting in the dinning area, etc, but wanted to get the listing open, as the summer is going fast. There are many stairs on our hillside from the parking area to the cottage and going down to and up from the lake. Like most lakes there can be buggy nights and critters- Best to bring bug spray for the evenings.

Our home uses well water, we have a softening system to help improve the water quality.

Our keyless lock is currently not working, there is a key with a lock box to get into the property. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Solar lights on walk ways may not light up during winter months when there is not enough day light to charge them. Please let us know ahead of time that you’re checking in after dark, we will gladly leave outdoor light on for you.

Please note, our home is 800 sq ft, it is a small, cozy cottage.

Upon entry, you will be met with a light and bright, freshly renovated interior. Our living room offers a comfortable space for you to cool off and relax after a nice long day at the lake.

Newly added for the 2025 season is a 5.1 surround sound system for you to watch your favorite movie/tv shows with Dolby Atmos sound. Or stream your favorite music via Bluetooth. Ever listen to a vinyl record with surround sound? Yeah it’s pretty cool! 😉

Walking through, be sure to stop at our “Frog House” feature wall and snap a few photos for your social media with our greenery and LED lighted wall. From there, you can rock, paper, scissors, with your friends or family members for either the King bedroom or Queen bedroom with a shared bathroom located between the two. After you figure out where you are going to crash for the night, you will be met with our eat-in dining room and open kitchen concept with all the kitchen necessities you could think of. The kitchen was fully renovated the Spring of 2024. Off to the right you will notice a doorway with our stackable washer and dryer unit so you are able to travel home with clean clothes before you leave and it also has a half bathroom there as well. Continuing on from there (the kids probably already found it) you will find our double bunk room! Featuring 2 twin over full bunks, a fireplace and sliding glass door with access to our backyard oasis. Hang out on the patio at night by the propane fire pit and on the comfy sectional or play a game of putt putt in the alley located just off the side of the house. You can sit back and enjoy all the live music on the weekends that you can hear playing from the various local venues.

This Vacasa Guestworks vacation rental is operated and managed locally by an independent host.
Prior to your arrival, you will receive local host contact information, who will manage your guest reservation. Your local host will provide in-stay support, secure entry, and arrange pre- and post-stay housekeeping services.
The two parking spots available for the boathouse are side by side so vehicles pulling boat trailers will need to disconnect the trailer and place it in one parking spot and the vehicle in the parking spot alongside it. The parking and dock pier will accommodate a boat no longer than 20 feet.
If you need anything during your stay, the home’s independent local host is ready to help 24/7! Guestworks is a service offering of Vacasa that allows homeowners to smoothly and efficiently manage their own properties.

The local marina charges $400 daily. The home is just minutes away from a sandbar for swimming.

Newly renovated cottage on Lake Wawasee.

Relax with the whole family at our peaceful cottage. Bring your boat and park it out front with quick easy access to Lake Wawasee and Syracuse Lake. Short walk to the private association beach with pier and raft for kids.

Cottage has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Air conditioning and heat with brand new furnace and air conditioner. The bunkhouse has one bedroom with two twin beds and a double and a full size bathroom. No heat in the bunkhouse.

Our lake house is very comfy & functional with lots of windows & double sliding doors for a great view & access to the lake which is 20 or so steps off the awesome upper deck & lower covered patio outdoor living space. There is a 4 burner gas grill & mobile bonfire pit with plenty of wood. The family room gas fireplace sets a cozy ambiance on chilly nights. Please be advised we have a 4 vehicle max concrete pad for parking. No other parking is available.

ON THE LAKE! Experience the perfect lakeside retreat at this 5-bedroom, 2-bathroom home on 65’ of Lake Wawasee. Two large bedrooms are located upstairs, with three located on the main level. One full bathroom is located upstairs, with the other full bathroom located on the main floor.

A new washer and dryer are available for use, as is a full kitchen. Please refer to the pictures of the blueprints for exact room measurements and house layout.

A fenced in front yard can be found adjacent to a large concrete parking area. The street dead ends approximately 1/4 mile past the cottage, making for a very quiet and safe place for everyone. Ogden Island is a perfect place to take a walk, bike or golf cart ride.

A large swimming platform, a hammock, and yard games provide for endless hours of outdoor fun.

Guests have access to the entire property and all interior spaces. A locked storage shed on-site is used by the property management team to ensure every guests stay is clean, safe and comfortable.

Due to the seasonal nature of the lake, the pier will be removed from approximately 11/1 through 5/1. As much as we would love to leave it in all year, the freeze on the lake will cause catastrophic damage and make the pier unusable for the following season.
