Our cabin nestled in the woods with a screened in porch that makes you feel you are in a tree house. From the screened in porch there is a winter view of our 555 acre lake. Enjoy pristine waters of Culver Lakes private community. Although this cottage is not lake front, you have a private dock with use of canoe, rowboat and 2 kayaks included in your rental. Great spot for fishing, no gear provided. 16+ license required. Located just across the lake is our community sandy beach with great swimming, food, ice cream and games. This is an excellent place for the kids. Life guards are on duty. Seasonal activities summer/fall/winter. Close to water parks, youth theme park, zoo and museum, hiking trails, zip lining and more. Linens provided for a family of 6 or bring your own for an easy check out. Great place for a relaxing, fun filled vacation. Appalachian trail nearby, excellent waterfalls, hiking and biking. We are right next to Stokes State Forest. $300.00 damage control security deposit required, refundable within 7 days of your departure via mail. No Smoking/no pets.

Country Log Cabin: This log cabin was built in l925 and is listed in the Historical Society. It has cathedral ceilings, stone fireplace and lots of 'old world' charm. It has been fully restored with cabin charm and is clean and comfortable. The large screened in porch off the living room is a great place to relax, play cards, enjoy a meal or a good book. Below that we have added a new room with trundle bed and a washer/dryer. View of 555 acre lake from Upper North Shore Road which backs Stokes State Forest. Internet, cable TV with VCR/DVD player is there for your enjoyment and a charcoal grill is provided without charcoal. Private dock 5 minutes away with canoe, 2 kayaks and row boat for your use. Sandy beach with swing set as mentioned above, several golf courses within 15 minutes of the cabin. Affordable family restaurants close by. Easy food shopping 1 mile away. Wal-mart shopping area a 15 minute drive from the cabin with Staples, Models, Marshals, Home Goods and many more. 4 beach chairs provided. Life jackets not provided for infants/young children. NO CANDLES PLEASE.

Culver Lake: Culver Lake is a clean spring fed natural lake nestled in the Kittatinny mountains. We are neighbored by Stokes State Forest which helps to keep our private lake community filled with an abundance of wild life to enjoy including the great Bald Eagle. Fishing is enjoyed my many, license required. Our mornings on the water are uplifting and our sunsets are peaceful and magnificent. Come enjoy sitting on our sandy beach and soak up the sun or sit under a shady tree enjoy the summer breeze. Our clean water is inviting to swim in and diving board is great fun for all.

Overlooking a tranquil pond and stream, this very private house makes you feel as if you are living in a treehouse in the forest. While it's truly a peaceful escape from everyday life, it's also filled with modern technology, including 2 TVs with sound bars, YouTube TV and major streaming services, and high-speed WiFi throughout the house and extending to much of the property. Need to work while you’re here? A workspace offers a monitor, mouse and keyboard – just plug in your laptop and get started.

The master bedroom in the upstairs loft has its own bathroom/shower and has a lovely view of the woods. The first floor offers two additional bedrooms, a full bath, and an open concept living area with rich knotty pine walls, gas fireplace, dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped, including Keurig, drip coffee maker and dishwasher. You’ll want to enjoy the finished basement that features a second TV, pool table, dartboard, game table, and plenty of games! There's also a washer & dryer available to guests. Bed linens and towels provided.

Spending time outdoors is a highlight of staying at the Chalet. The deck stretches the entire front of the house, providing day views of the woods, sounds of the running stream, and evening star gazing. Our deck features new seating & tables, a gas grill, and a new hot tub that can be enjoyed year round. And the large grassy yard is perfect for pets or recreation and features a fire pit with Adirondack chairs.

Our favorite feature of the property is the pond, which is a beautiful sanctuary just a few dozen steps down the wooded path. Sit and enjoy a coffee or tea while listening to the waterfall that leads to the stream, watch the birds, look for the bullfrogs at the water's edge, or see if you can spot a deer passing through the woods. You'll be amazed at how much time you can spend doing nothing!

Venture beyond the Chalet to enjoy all that the area has to offer. The charming town of Milford is just 15 minutes away with restaurants, boutique shops, the Grey Towers mansion, and the newly restored Milford Theater. The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area neighbors the property, and features over 100 miles of hiking trails, including 6 great waterfall trails within 10 minute drive of the Chalet. The park also offers canoeing/kayaking, swimming, cycling, cross-country skiing, picnicking, and fishing with a valid state license. Five golf courses and Shawnee Mountain Ski area are within a 30-minute drive. George W. Child's part is 1.2 miles from our home and just reopened with spectacular waterfall views - it's a local treasure open again after a 6 year renovation!

- "It was a relaxing stay at The Lake. Just in time before my son starts school, and husband starts a new job. My favorite activity was 'Lake Television'... going down to the dock with a cup of Joe, or at the end of the day to watch the sunset and changes on the water was pure magic! Thanks for a lovely and cozy stay!" - "My husband took a five day woodworking class at Peter’s Valley Craft School. This property was about 20 minutes away and convenient to my daytime activities which I enjoyed with a friend. The house was clean, relaxing, and in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood. The bed was comfortable. The dock across the street that belongs to the property was nice for a late afternoon or evening glass of wine. We used the kayaks though I think we missed a part of the lake to the left. There are Adirondack chairs on the dock. There are stairs to the right of the dock for easy kayak or swimming entry. We saw people swimming but we did not as we were out most days. Highlights in the area - falls at Dingman’s Park, kayaking on the Delaware with Adventure Sports, spending an afternoon painting at Lake Oquittunk, (flattish) hikes at Pocono Education Center and a trail near Peter’s Valkey, and dining at lakefront restaurants. My husbnd loved his workshop and will be returning to the house in the fall for another workshop."

The kitchen has what you need and there is a music system with radio, record player, CD player and cassette player. Just a mile down the road is a lovely hiking trail to Stairway Lake; you can also take walks on the property. More hiking trails in the Delaware Water Gap area if you're able to tear yourself away from the cabin porch. This is one of the nicest places I've stayed since I started renting vacation cabins and cottages 8 years ago."

We call this The Cottage. It is one of three houses on 16 park-like acres, nestled into the woods, running along the scenic Bushkill Creek in the NE tip of the Poconos, near the Delaware River. All 3 houses are set quite far apart on the property and offer the perfect amount of privacy.

The cottage has 2 charming queen bedrooms and a large sleeping loft with 3 single beds. There's 2 stone fireplaces and a great kitchen. The massive porch is the prefect place to relax or take in the view of the river and waterfalls below. Guest have access to the entire cottage and grounds.

We are available by text or phone at all times. We may be staying on the property and are equally happy to leave you to yourselves or share coffee or a cocktail by the waterfall!

Mill Rift is a tiny community in Matamoras, right off the Delaware River that offers so many activities from rafting and canoeing, hiking, cross country skiing, fishing, antiquing, dining and much more...

The cottage is nestled among high hemlocks facing Dingmans Creek, which can be heard gurgling night and day. After duty as a stable and carriage house the barn was converted to living quarters sometime in the 1950s. It was renovated in 2001 and won Better Homes and Garden’s Home Improvement Contest and was featured as their cover story in October 2002. The guidelines for the renovation were to “preserve the irreplaceable.”

The lower level has two fireplaces. The one in the living room is wood burning and the one in the kitchen is gas. The walls and floors are primarily stone and the living room's vaulted ceiling is 30 feet high. The six skylights allow guests to enjoy sun, rain and snow.

The loft has a magical bedroom with windows that overlook the creek. The cottage was featured in Better Homes and Gardens, Good Housekeeping and Wood Beautiful. It was also used as a location for Hallmark Cards 2005 Christmas card collection.

The house itself also has lots of space. There are 5 bedrooms. One master on the upper level and three downstairs, along with a play room. There is another "hidden" bedroom in the loft, along with a peloton bike, for those who need to keep their steak going ;). There are two office spaces. One on the main floor next to the master and one in the loft.

All the bathrooms in the house have been recently remodeled with new tubs, sinks, toilets, modern, high-end fittings, Italian marble and heated floors.
For rest and relaxation, there is a main living room overlooking the lake. There is another sitting room with French sliding doors and a fireplace so you can feel like you are outside in the forest while sitting by a warm fireplace. Last, there is a game room with a TV, card table and bar, a place for the grown-ups to play while the kids are asleep.

There is also a covered garage which guests can use to park one car.

Please note that swimming in the lake and using the trampoline are at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty, and safety precautions should be taken at all times. We encourage all guests to supervise children closely and use their best judgment when enjoying these amenities.

- "The place was great, huge space for all. A total of 3 bedrooms. Comfortable beds. The kitchen was immaculate so was the living room. You can enjoy your Netflix and Prime if you have an account. The owner (Gershon) was extremely accommodating and responded when we’ve texted him. The Falls are literally right there for viewing with a nice boardwalk and hill top for taking some cool photos. Ray."

The house exceeded any descriptions listed here (every inch was immaculate and updated and upgraded) and the amenities that were provided were more like a resort than a home rental. It was so nice not to worry about bringing any linens/towels/pillows/shampoo/soap. Beautiful kitchen was fully equipped with everything you’d need (including coffee, creamer, sugar, every spice you can think of and even a special VERY appreciated surprise when we opened the fridge AND the cooler outside). Our hosts were extremely available throughout the whole stay and accommodated each and every request we had. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and even with intermittent rain, no one was bored (fishing, kayaking, peddle boarding, hot-tubbing, swimming, reading, porch swinging, cooking, wine-ing…is that a word?).
